After a passionate encounter with billionaire Nic, Lexy reveals she’s given birth to his triplets. Nic proposes a marriage of convenience for the sake of the children, but their undeniable attraction threatens to turn their practical arrangement into something much more.

If you like the miscommunication trope, this book is for you. I loved the romantic chemistry between Nic and Lexy. Most of the story is spent with them at odds, but their reconciliation is sweet. I enjoyed the audiobook narration.

Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I receive. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Thank you @NetGalley and @Harlequin Audio for the ARC. I really enjoyed this short and spicy story. After a run in that sends sparks flying, they have a magical night and promise to see each other again. Yet, something or someone has made that impossible to happen. When 18 months goes by and they are reunited there is hurt feelings and misunderstanding that turns love into hate.

One night of passion between tech billionaire Nick Diamandis and foreign language interpreter Lexy has lasting consequences in the form of triplet babies. When Lexy is finally able to make contact with Nick to tell him about his children, the result is a marriage of convenience that might actually work. If only they can learn to trust each other.

This is the kind of book I used to covertly read as a preteen when I saw it on grocery store racks and in hospital waiting rooms. We all did that, right? As an adult I don't find these books all that scandalous, just cheesy and fun. I thought that Nick and Lexy had good chemistry, although it was frustrating how poorly they were communicating until I had a better understanding of why. Definitely a good read if you're looking for soapy drama and romance.

I listened to the audiobook and I thought the narrator did a great job with Greek accents and steamy scenes.

This was my first book my this author and it was ok. I enjoyed the two main characters and their chemistry was good however i can’t stand books where all the problems the mains face could be solved with one conversation , and they refused to have it! Very frustrating. However, the narration was very good and it was not bad for a short little read ( listen )

Thank you to Harlequin Audio for a chance to listen to an Audio arc this book! 🖤

Overall Thoughts 💭:
First, I have to say that I usually enjoy all the tropes in this book and expected to love it! I liked both Nic and Lexy separately and felt their physical chemistry was undeniable. However, the whole plot hinging on them being able to have one mature conversation about what's upsetting both of them made my eye roll at times. And when they finally do talk about it he believes she's lying even though he think it doesn't make sense for her character. Lexy's reasoning for believing he didn't want to see her made way more sense then him creating the idea she's a liar and choose to suffer because she's petty? I just wish the conflict was more external because the miscommunication and misunderstandings dampened the whole story. These people have spent more time believing each other is a terrible person than actually loving each other and their only connection is their attraction to each other and I wanted more from their relationship.

This is a quick and right to the spicy moment leading to triplets! If you are in between reads and want something that will give you those feelings of want and need between the characters and months later has baby surprise then read this. He also gets upset that she didn’t tell him sooner. Of course you get your HEA. I enjoyed listening to the audiobook and the narrator (Katherine Kennard) did a good job with voice consistency and her voice was perfect for the Lexi. I would definitely listen or read this again.
