The Story:

A good introductory tale to a series. I have issues with the connotation and number of times the word “freak” was used but I did listen with my 2023 ears when this was written in 2014. I’m not sure I will continue the series because I’m sure that kind of language will continue, and it really did hit me hard.

I'd actually forgotten that I had this on my kindle so decided it was high time to get back to this extraordinary world the author has created.
This prequel is about Dr Angela Locke, an amazing genetic scientist and Niko a sentinel on a mission. Niko has to pose as a professor in order to get close to Angela . Angela has no idea that she's the target of a psychopath sentinel and her life is in danger. They clearly both want to heat up the sheets from the moment they meet ! Still I found their romance worked and I liked them together, Niko was a typical alpha male but Angela was no lightweight!
This sexy and fast paced (albeit )short story was a good introduction to the Sentinel world and I'm glad I finally read it

Fast paced steamy read with lots of suspense and drama. I really liked it looking forward to more in the series.
