What a great revenge story. I had a feeling I knew who was behind it, but the reveal was way more than I anticipated! This was a great read!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the arc. Honestly, it's hard to get into the story and was slow to start at first but soon picked up. Some of the characters are meh and forgettable whilst others are ok and are somewhat relatable but overall this is not entirely bad. You just have to stick with it til the last page to really appreciate it. Audio narration is good.

Really enjoyed this one.
It is a series but I was able to read without feeling likeness missing something from not reading the others prior.
Loved that it went from the different characters point of views. The suspense was great and a good amount of surprises
Definitely a good read and will probably pick up others from this author
Thank you NetGalley for the copy

Psychiatrist Eve Thayer and her husband Nathan have seemingly the perfect life: a nice house, a beautiful baby girl, and a great caregiver so they both can work without worry. When a parent's worst nightmare happens, will Detective Rita Myers be able to put all of the puzzle pieces into place?
The audiobook is narrated by Nick Mills, Christina Moore, and Rebecca Quinn Robertson. All three do an excellent job of bringing their respective characters to life. I particularly like how Rita Myers is presented, a no nonsense detective with an inquisitive mind. Though the book itself does drag a bit in the middle, the narrators are engaging enough to keep a listener's interest. I am not sure I would have finished if I read the book instead.
As much as I liked Rita, I really did not care for Eve. Nathan's flaws were obvious, with Eve's more carefully constructed. Her character development seemed more crafted and she did not feel as realistic as the other two. Though there was a surprise or two, the overall plot was telegraphed from the beginning. If this was the first book in a series, I would give the next one a try because of the strength of Rita's character.
Disclaimer: I was given this Advanced Audio book by NetGalley and the publisher. The choice to review it was entirely my own.

Thank you NetGalley and RBmedia for the ARC of this audiobook for my honest review
Such a well written thriller, I don’t think there was a moment I wasn’t hooked. And I could kind of figure out the ending but not 100% so there was still some surprises, it also did take a while to work out the ending and it was overall a great mystery. The characters were so interesting and I can’t wait to re read this book!

Even though I had most of the mystery figured out about halfway through, it was still an enjoyable read. This mystery was put together well. The characters were narrated by 3 separate people so that enhanced the audiobook.

Watch Your Back by Terri Parlato
Thank you to @recordedbooks, @netgalley, & the author for the opportunity to read this #advancedlistenercopy in exchange for my #honestbookreview! This book is now available where books are sold.
This book kept me on my toes! It takes place at a psychiatric hospital and that adds a level of eeriness to the book that I enjoyed. It also rotates back and forth between the detective and the female psychiatrist which added another layer that I enjoyed. The end is a wild ride! I recommend for anyone looking for a fast paced mystery!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ - 4.25/5

This listen kinda felt like a Lifetime movie in my opinion. I didn’t love this but I also didn’t hate this; at times it dragged and at others it moved at a normal pace. The reveal of who was the perpetrator was the best part of this book to me; I did kinda predict it at one point because it felt like a stereotypical storyline, but added motive sorta made up for that. This is a part of an anthology series, but I doubt you absolutely have to read the first two before reading this. Currently I’m on the fence about reading the first two books. If you’re a fan of Lifetime this might be for you.

Thank you to NetGalley and RB Media for an audio ARC of this book.
I jumped into this series with this book, and perhaps that was not the best idea. I felt a little lost and like I was missing some key development with the main characters. In any case, it was an ok read, but not that memorable. I was interested in the premise, and it delivered with pretty good twists. I did find that I as a reader lacked connection to any of the main characters.
I enjoyed the three different narrators and their performances. They did an excellent job!

I have loved every single book by Terri Parlato and this was exactly the same. I need more, more, and more from this author. I can never get enough. This is going to be a highly recommended book from me.

"Watch Your Back" turned out to be an exceptional thriller, something I hadn't indulged in for quite some time.
The narrative begins simply but quickly unfolds layers of complexity. At its core is a husband and wife in a fierce conflict, raising questions about who instigated it and their motivations. My favorite character, Detective Myers, enters the scene as a strong and resilient woman. She navigates an understaffed department while remaining focused on the case, all while facing personal challenges. Her depth and complexity make her an inspiring figure in the story.
Overall, this book is a masterfully crafted thriller that captivates you from the beginning and keeps you engaged until the very end. It is well-written and fast-paced, featuring a well-developed set of characters all intertwined in a web of vengeance. I am truly grateful to NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this thrilling book.

Arc received through NetGalley.
Multi pov third book of series but read as standalone. Was able to guess a few things coming which is always fun being able to solve it before they do. Some things still came unexpected.
Enjoyed the narration of the audiobook and listening to it definitely helped not feel lost with it being part of a series. Fast paced book overall.
For fan of psychology/psychiatry, domestic suspense, new motherhood.

The first chapter of this novel hooks you right away. Everyone seems to be hiding something, & you truly don’t know who to trust!
The point-of-view alternates between the husband Nathan, the wife Eve, & the detective Rita - which gives the reader a well-rounded look at the story. Each narrator was easy to listen to & told their characters view well! The characters were well developed, in my opinion, & the story was well written.
I found out after reading that this is a part of a series - but it didn't affect the readability of it as a stand alone novel, which I appreciated!
I was a little disappointed, because the ending was too predictable for me. The “big reveal” felt like a letdown after how intriguing the story had been up to that point. Overall, it was still a good book that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Engaging and entertaining. A recommended purchase for collections where crime and thrillers are popular.

I throughly enjoyed this book. I felt like it had all the elements of a great thriller. A lot of twists and turns throughout the book. Plenty of family drama sprinkled throughout. Even a few creepy spots as well. Any one who loves thrillers would definitely enjoy this read!

Wow! This book was great, had me guessing the whole time. Definitely didn’t expect the ending. The cast of narrators was great. I will definitely be looking for more from this author.

This is book #3 in the Detective Rita Myers series. I am confident that you can read or listen to this book standalone or out of order. I jumped in and didn't feel like I was missing anything. The story was well structured. The author does a great job of building the suspense and tension. I really enjoyed the psychological elements and how they were woven into the story. I don't always love a multi POV story. I feel that they can be hard to follow. I will say that I struggled a little during the first 1/3 of the book keeping everyone straight - but it really comes together after that.
I would happily read the other books from this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this audiobook in exchange for my honest opinion.

Loved the twists and turns for this book, had lots of moments that kept me on my toes! I did feel more intrigued in the beginning and began to lose interest towards the middle and end

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read Watch Your Back. The audiobook had three different people reading for the three main characters in this book and I really loved that! This book had me guessing until the very end who the kidnapper was and I had a feeling I knew who really did it but the reasoning on y they did it surprised me and those who were involved but also made since when I looked back on everything that was said in the book. I did struggle to connect with the main characters in this book and found myself getting annoyed with them at times. This was a fun thriller to read and I would definitely read from this author again! Thank you again to NetGalley!💕📚

A chilling, fast-paced domestic noir thriller that keeps you on your toes. Winter in Boston is the perfect backdrop for this icy, tense, disintegrating marriage. Eve is a fascinating character—intelligent, borderline insane, caught between paranoia and reality. I also grew to like Rita, who is a truly multi-dimensional character. The setting only adds to the anxiety.
The author has a great balance of suspense, psychological development, and plot twists. Each chapter is another, churning layer of secrets. Brilliant, gripping, and suspenseful. Addictive and nerve-racking.
