I really enjoyed this sophomore novel from Megan Lally. She is once again diving into the dramatic lives of teenagers. This book is a dual timeline (current day and a few months earlier on a very dramatic night that leaves a classmate dead). The entire book is really about two nights - the current night which involves a rather exciting car chase through a chilly March night on deserted back roads, and the night of "The Incident" - a party at the main characters' beach house where a classmate died. The pacing was a little slow in the beginning (how many chapters did we really need to hear Brooke whining about whether she'll get into Yale or not??) but as soon as that moment passed, the pacing picked up and I couldn't stop listening.
Although some parts were a bit far-fetched, I could put that aside and just enjoy the story. Lally does a great job slowing revealing information and guiding the reader to how they should really feel about each character. As an adult reading the book, I was able to see the twist coming from early on, but that didn't really diminish my enjoyment of the story. The anticipation of how the main character was going to get out of being chased on the deserted highway was still compelling.
I also enjoyed the listening experience. The narrator did a great job, and I'd listen to more from her.
Overall, I think Megan Lally is becoming a "watch for" and "read now" author for me.
Thank you NetGalley, Megan Lally, and the publisher for an advanced copy.

Brooke is the perfect girl at her school. Everything she does has to be perfect. She cannot reflect badly on her parents and has to uphold their good name. She's so tired of the constant pressure and has been keeping the constant harassment from a secret person hidden from everyone. Once she finds out if she has gotten into her dream school, Yale, she hopes that she can forget the past and that maybe everyone else will too. Now that the biggest problem she faces is that someone thinks they know the truth from the night of the incident she hopes to stay away from anyone who may be her harasser.
I loved this book. The dual timelines threw me off at first, but it was a fantastic book and a thrill of a ride. I finished the audiobook in a day. I thought that the characters were well-developed without giving us too much information early on. The accumulation of the suspense and the way that everything played out was a masterpiece and a true shock.

Thank you to the author and publisher for this arc!
Megan Lalley does it again! I couldn’t have expected more from a YA thriller than this. All of the stars.
This was fast-paced, twisty, and the characters + their relationships were intriguing from the start.
5 stars

This book was such a fun read! Between the high-speed chase, teen drama, a mysterious death, and a group of friends who all seem suspicious in their own way, there was plenty to keep me hooked. While it was somewhat predictable, I still enjoyed it. That last twist got me good!
Thank you to RBmedia and NetGalley for providing an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you RB Media | Recorded Books & Megan Lally for this read!
This book was fast paced, highly addicted and full of twists. This was definitely the case of expert the unexpected - I was really impressed with the way the author threw in a few things I definitely did not predict!!
The way it's told through past and present cleverly helped to form a complete picture of the events and build suspense!
Despite owning another book by this author, this is my first read from them and I LOVED it. Megan Lally is definitely going to be an author I am looking out for in the future.
The narration of the audiobook was brilliant! They did a great job at enhancing the story. If you're an audiobook lover and after a thrilling ride of suspense with unexpected twists, without being too dark or gruesome, this book is for you!
4.5/5

🎧 No Place Left to Hide by Megan Lally
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Do I recommend: Sure! 🤗
I loooooove YA thrillers and while this wasn’t my favorite (I feel like this one was a tale as old as time), I had a great time. This was fast-paced and followed high school senior Brooke, who has a picture-perfect life but is hiding a big secret. Someone is onto her though, and it all culminates on the winding highway back from the coast. Will she be able to keep her secrets AND survive the night?
The pacing was great, I loved the dual timelines, and I liked that while predictable it was still tense. I have no complaints and this earns a solid three stars from me!
Thank you to NetGalley and RBMedia for the ARC!

Where do I start? I received an ARC for this book and I finished it in one day. I just could not put it down!!!
For Brooke, image is everything. She’s at the top of her class, admired by her peers, and backed by a powerful, influential family. Not even the tragic accident a few months ago has derailed her flawless reputation. But when the anonymous stalker who has been sending her threats for months starts tailgating her on a late-night drive home from a party, her perfect world starts to crumble. The stalker claims to know the truth about that fateful night. Will Brooke survive to protect her secrets, or will everything she’s built come crashing down?
I think the two storylines of what is happening now and what happened in the past got interwoven so seamlessly and both storylines were really interesting.
I did figure out who the “stalker” was pretty early on because it was a little bit predictable but I still enjoyed every second of this book. I definitely didn’t expect it to end the way it did. And I have to say it was incredibly satisfying for the story to wrap up that way.
I also want to give a huge shoutout to the narrator of the audiobook. She did an incredible job. I saw the book come to life in my head due to the amazing way she narrated the story.
I will recommend this book to anyone who is willing to listen!!!

No Place left to hide is a wild ride that quickly grabs you right from the start. We follow the main character Brooke Goodwin who is, for all intents and purposes, perfect. But when she goes to an Ivy League acceptance party to celebrate getting in to Yale her past mistakes come back to confront her.
I really liked the plot of the book and Megan Lally does a great job of bringing the story to life. The rich, pretentious characters including Brooke are very hard to like at times in the book and there are some minor plot points that don’t feel like the get resolved. However a bright spot is the supporting character was Maya who was resourceful and loyal. She was a breath of fresh air as she tries to protect her friends and be the voice of reason.
The book has a ton of high school drama and definitely is more YA which is a nice change up if you’ve been reading more domestic thrillers. I don’t want to spoil it but the ending is bonkers and definitely did not expect it. Read this book in one day as I just had to see what happened at the end.

★★★★★
I loved this book! The fast pace kept me hooked, and the teenage angst was perfect—it brought back all the drama while reminding me how thankful I am to be done with those days, especially in the age of newer technology.
The story is such a fun ride, blending the excitement of late-night adventures with just the right amount of suspense. The bonfire party, the crush, and that tense drive home kept me turning the pages late into the night. It’s not deep or overly emotional, but it’s exactly what I wanted—a quick, entertaining read with plenty of drama and thrills.
Thank you, NetGalley and RBmedia, for my gifted audiobook in exchange for my honest review!

Audiobook Review
3 ☆
To Brooke, image is everything. She works hard to maintain perfect grades, perfect looks, a perfect life—especially after "the incident" that threatened it all. Getting into her dream university puts her that much closer to a fresh start. An old truck starts aggressively tailing Brooke and her best friend on the isolated road toward home. Someone thinks they know the truth about "the incident," and they won't stop until it's all out in the open.
The cover art is so eye catching. Which is why I picked this book! This is a YA murder mystery and I enjoy a good murder mystery but this book was a little too predictable for me. And I must say all the characters were unlikeable, highly unlikeable ... just whiny rich kids, with whiny rich kids issues. *roll eyes* I am hoping the author did this on purpose, because she did a good job at that. This was my first book by this author.
The audiobook was great, the narrator did a great job telling the story and being Brooke. She truly made me dislike Brooke and her entire so called friends. I listened to this story at 2.5x speed.
Thank you, Netgellay, and RB Media for the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a good book and I didn't call a single twist it was so fun listening to the narrator and tey peice everything together as it was happening

⭐ 3.5 stars!
As someone who occasionally dips into the mystery-thriller genre, I’m quite picky, but I had heard great things about her debut That’s Not My Name (which I haven’t read yet). Naturally, I was excited to give this one a try, especially with its gripping synopsis.
The story follows Brooke, who seems to have a picture-perfect life—but there’s a secret from "the incident" haunting her. While heading home after a night out, she and her best friend are chased by a mysterious truck. Someone wants the truth about her past to come out, and Brooke might not survive to see what happens next.
The pacing was fantastic—I couldn’t put it down and finished it in just a few sessions (within just 24 hours which hasn't happened in a while). Themes of reputation, envy, and the lengths people go to maintain a perfect image felt raw and realistic. However, while the premise was strong, many twists felt predictable, and as the answers unraveled, the suspense gradually faded and the story lost its charm, unfortunately. By the end, I didn’t feel fully satisfied—it lacked the jaw-dropping impact I was hoping for. It’s a great fast-paced bingeable read, especially for getting out of a slump, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. But I am definitely not denying the fact that I enjoyed it. The audiobook format is just great and recommended.
My heartfelt thanks to NetGalley and RB Media for kindly providing me with an audiobook ARC of Megan Lally’s latest thriller.

I really loved That’s Not My Name when I read it last year, so I was really excited to read Megan Lally’s newest release.
No Place Left to Hide was another fast paced mystery full of dark secrets, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I listened to the audiobook in two sittings because I needed to find out what happened.
Full of mean girl drama and high school crushes, Brooke just wants to get into her dream college and escape. Escape “the incident”. One night, her best friend convinces her to go to a bonfire party, but on the way home she realizes that someone is following her. The truck tries to drive her off the road and says they won’t stop until she admits the truth about what happened the night of “the incident”.
Told in multiple timelines, we get to explore the past and present. I loved the drama from the past and the tense atmosphere of the present. Racing down the highway as someone chases you is the perfect setup for a heart pounding survival story. And that twist!

No Place Left to Hide is a fast-paced thriller that had me hooked from the beginning. Brooke works hard to maintain her perfect image. The night she goes to a party to celebrating her acceptance into a prestigious university, things start to go left. Once Brooke and her best friend Jenna leave to head home, they’re followed by on old Bronco tailing them aggressively, demanding she tell the truth about what happened on the boat a few months earlier.
I’m rating this one 4.5⭐️. It was a bit predictable, for me. As soon as Jenna got back in the car from the gas station, I knew who was responsible for the unknown calls and the tailgating. But the “Big Reveal” of their plan was unexpected! This was still a fun and easy read!
Thank you NetGalley for the free arc in exchange for an honest review.

If you're looking for a fun, fast-paced young adult thriller, Megan Lally's "No Place Left to Hide" might be your next listen. With a clear focus on teenage audiences, this story feels young. Still, it delivers enough energy and intrigue to appeal to YA fiction fans of all ages. While there were moments when the plot didn't fully captivate me, Lally more than made up for it with a final act that was hard to put down. The last quarter of the book had me turning page after page, anxious to find out how it would all end—and it was quite an ending.
This was my first time reading Megan Lally's work, and I'm already looking forward to exploring more of her stories. And I have to say, the audiobook is a great option because it was so engaging. Justis Bolding's narration was dynamic, with seamless energy and sharp character transitions. I'll absolutely look out for more audiobooks narrated by Bolding in the future.
"No Place Left to Hide" is a decent pick for anyone who loves fast-paced YA stories, and the audiobook version elevates the entire experience. If you're craving a teenage thriller, this one's worth adding to your list.
Thank you to NetGalley and RBmedia for the advanced audiobook; all opinions expressed in this review are my own.

No place left to hide is a fast-paced and gripping thriller that follows Brooke who always maintains a picture perfect image, a perfect student of Waldorf Prep, a good daughter who helps out with organizing, volunteering and charity events . Her family is one of the reputed, prominent up standing citizens and despite the incident that threatens everything that she holds dear, she believes in a fresh start. And the plans are mostly in a good way.
But things begin to take wrong turns when the incessant anonymous calls levels up to a deadly chase on an isolated road as Brooke and her best friend, Jenna swerving to get out of this mess, hopefully alive. The blackmailer has a demand, for Brooke to come clean about the incident, to accept what actually happened that day but all has already been cleared. There's nothing more to it, isn't there?
No way or the other, the entire truth will come out because this time revenge will be fate's own decision.
This book has me on the edge of my seat at all times. It was enthralling, gripping and genuinely weaved in engrossing elements of surprises and curiosity coupled with anticipation and excitement. The narration is fast-paced and the plot execution is masterfully crafted with brilliant portrayal of the characters actions and intentions. The twists and turns are totally unpredictable, a rollercoaster ride into the territory of a scrupulously planned plot. The story has one of the most insanely fantastic plot twists that I didn't even try to think about yet the author has planned everything to a T.
I'd highly recommend this book to thriller and suspense readers.

No Place Left to Hide by Megan Lally is a fast paced thriller that will hold your attention from start to finish. Sadly, I'm kind of torn between liking and disliking this one. What I did like what the incredibly fast pace, the different timelines and how they created a deeper story, and how engaging the plot was. What I didn't like were the characters. Pretty much every character was incredibly dislikable, and not just the bad guy, even the ones you're supposed to like. There were also several plot holes. And some of the scenes felt overly dramatic to a cheesy point. But there were a bunch of amazing aspects to this too so I'm really torn.
I feel a bit mixed on the audiobook. The narration was wonderful. Unfortunately there was a low, buzzing hum the entire time and it was a big distraction and even started to cause me a bit of a headache. But Justis Bolding did a wonderful job with the narration. I thought her voice was perfect for this role.
Thank you to the publishers and netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for this audiobook!
This book was absolutely wild, I predicted the main twists but even so the way they played out was so much more chaotic than I had thought. Not a single likable character and the whole story takes place between a single present day and a single evening flashback so it's really fast paced. The narrator did an amazing job of voicing the characters and bringing them to life.

Wow, I flew through this book! Between the fast paced plot and the great narration it was impossible to put down!
There’s not much to say without spoilers but wow, the betrayal and the plot twists were amazing!
I knew I had to read this after loving That’s Not My Name!
I can’t wait to see what Megan Lally comes up with next!

I enjoyed the story and the authors writing. The narrator did an amazing job. The book was twisty and action packed. The only issue I have with this story is that it seems like the author took inspiration straight from incidents surrounding Paul Murdoch and the Murdoch family. From the drunken boat crash, to the car crashes, and prominent family cover ups.
