This book was another hit by Megan Lally and I am excited for any future books by her. This was a wild ride (literally) and kept me on the edge of my seat. There were many twists and turns and some I didn't expect. The narration was great and really honed in on the "mean girls" aspect when necessary. We go back and forth between "then" and "now" as we piece what happened during the "incident" and a high speed chase by an unknown assailant. The book did many things well and a great, fast-paced, enjoyable thriller.

A heart pounding teen based cat-and-mouse chase thriller I could not put down!
We are following Brooke Goodwin who is a senior in high school. Brooke has a seemingly perfect life--a luxurious and lavish lifestyle, an acceptance into the perfect university, and the best of friends to celebrate with. Brooke has nothing to worry about, until she and her best friend are chased by some creepy truck while driving home from a party. This thriller is a cat-and-mouse chase trope, and is full of high stakes scenarios. We get Brooke's backstory with a past and present timeline to piece together the events leading up to the car chase, and who may be wanting to get her.
This is a teen thriller, but it was executed well and the language didn't verge on too young adult. Lally also does a great job of revealing the mystery aspect of the story through use of dialogue between characters.
I listened to the audiobook production for this book which is narrated by Justis Bolding. I found the various female voices were executed well, but at times some of the male voices didn't fit the scene. The storyline and several plot twists were predictable, but overall, it was a fun time.
I enjoyed the fast paced writing and the past and present timeline aspect. The car chase also had me hooked and I haven't read too many thrillers that explored that scenario, so I was captured by the story from the beginning.
This was a fun thriller. I prefer "That's Not My Name" over this one in terms of trope, but I found this to be an exciting and quick read and the audiobook was well done.
I would recommend this book if you also enjoyed....
- That's Not My Name by Megan Lally
- The Last Word by Taylor Adams
Many thanks to NetGalley and RBmedia for providing this audiobook ARC in exchange for an my honest review.

This one was a little bit too predictable for me - it was quite obvious from the start the general gist of what had happened.
I think this would definitely be a great read for a younger audience, with some pretty big thriller-esqe reveals and what the heck moments. A lot of it is very relatable for high school aged teens.
Thanks to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read a review copy of this book!

No Place Left to Hide- Megan Lally
I really liked Megan's first book and was very excited to be given the opportunity to listen to an Advanced copy audiobook of her newest release No Place Left to Hide.
This YA fast paced thriller follows a double timeline of Brooke a high school student that hosted a party where another teenager died. The story follows her as she deals with the aftermath of the party and flashes back to the night of, slowly revealing what happened that night.
I did not see the twist that unfolded coming, in fact I was absolutely certain it would end in a completely different way. I will definitely recommend this book to my book besties and followers. As an avid audiobook consumer I was pleased with the narrator. She did an excellent job and kept me engaged for the entire story.

Good ya thriller perfect for fans of the a good girls guide to murder. It does a great job weaving past and present. As I read I kept wanting to know what actually happened in the past and also what the heck was going on in the present. It felt like I was reading something similar to scream heheheheh. A pretty good twist and kept you waiting til the end to fully get answers. Quick read which keeps you entertained the whole time. Thanks NetGalley for the arc!

3.5 rounded up. I didn’t enjoy this much as the author’s debut, as it leans very YA and I’m in my 40’s. The vibes are like “Pretty Little Liars/Mean Girls” on steroids, and younger me would’ve ate this up! The narration was well done and sounded age appropriate. Overall a fun and thrilling book for the younger crowd.

No Place Left To Hide is the second book from Megan Lally. I had a good time with her first and had an equally good time with this one. The pacing of this book is really good and I feel like I couldn’t stop, I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job. Brooke is our MC who we come to find out has been harassed by someone ever since “the incident.” Brooke and her friend Jenna are heading home from a party but they’re not alone. As the story progresses and things escalate, we’re provided details from the past and the present. Without divulging too much, Brooke isn’t the only one that has a secret. Get ready for a deathly drive! This was fast paced, at times predictable or made me say “wtf” towards some decisions characters made but for being a YA thriller, it was a pretty wild ride. One thing that was hard to root for is that almost all characters are unlikable, but that may have been the point too. All I’ll say is I’ve never been so happy for someone to get what they deserved. Check this out for a fun and quick read, this is available now!

4.25 ⭐️ if you want a YA version of PLL and Gossip Girl with a side of murder, you will love this!! I binged this book so fast I couldn’t put it down 😮💨 Highly recommend the audiobook as well.
Content warnings: murder, language, alcohol use.
no spice.
Thank you Netgalley for this audio ARC for review!

I really enjoyed the fast pace of this book and the split narrative of “before” and “now”. The book wastes no time getting into the nitty gritty - so it pulls you in immediately. I did find some parts a bit repetitive. IMO some of the twists were predictable but a few blew me away!
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for sending me this book.

This is the second audiobook by Megan Lally that I've listened to, and they're just great.
Lally captures the anxiety of being young alongside thrilling plot lines. I hope this book gets the buzz it deserves.
One criticism is that the audiobook performer reads ridiculously slow. I had to really raise my listening speed.
I'll post a review on my instagram account (@stressiereads) next week and will also review on Goodreads. Thanks for the ARC!

Last summer, at a party hosted by Brooke at her family's lake house, a girl tragically lost her life. Now, Brooke is receiving numerous calls from an unknown number every day, and strange things are happening to her car. Who could be behind this, and what information do they possess. As the timeline unfolds, it will gradually expose secrets that Brooke desperately wants to keep buried.
Overall, as someone reading this author for the first time, I really enjoyed it. The pace was so quick that I finished it in just one day. I had my suspicions about who was behind everything that was happening was correct. I’m excited to check out her other books!

No Place Left to Hide by Megan Lally
This thriller flashes back and forth between now and then timelines. It was a high intensity, "who's side are you on" ride, that definitely had me wondering how it would eventually end. A few things that didn't pass the vibe test for me though...there was a significant amount of swearing in this book- especially considering it is a YA thriller? I don't consider myself to be an overly sensitive to language but man, I was really annoyed by the end of this book with the language. Also, was Subaru a sponsor of this book in any way? The amount of times that SUBARU was mentioned was- odd?
2.5/5 Stars

No Place Left To Hide by Megan Lally
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
❤️ A BIG Thank you to #NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for my honest opinion!
Plot: MC Brooke is a perfectionist. She has the perfect grades, and basically perfect life. Everything is going her way until one night there’s a party at her parents lake house and a horrible incident occurs. Brooke just wants to move on and get on with her “perfect” life, but someone won’t let her. Someone from her past won’t stop until they get revenge. A year or so later, Brooke gets accepted to Yale and attends a party to celebrate her achievement. But after Brooke and her bff, Jenna, leave the party a white truck starts aggressively following them on the road home. Someone that thinks they know the truth about the night the horrible incident occurred, and they won’t stop until Brooke tells the truth!
My thoughts: OMG! I didn’t want to stop listening to this audiobook! It gripped me from the start! I enjoyed how the story kept switching back and forth between the past and present. So you slowly learned how the “incident” happened. I thought I had it figured out, but nope! And the twist really got me! I didn’t see the end coming at all.
The narrator, Justis Bolding, did a fantastic job at making all the characters come to life and bringing great intensity to the story!
Honestly a great read/listen and I very highly recommend!

Megan Lally delivers a compelling YA murder-mystery/thriller in No Place Left to Hide, blending the angst of teenage rebellion with the chilling consequences of buried secrets. The story centers on Brooke, a high school senior navigating the pressures of an image-driven life shaped by her father’s status in their small town. As she steps out of her carefully curated persona for one wild night with her friends, the consequences spiral into a web of lies, betrayal, and danger.
Lally skillfully juxtaposes Brooke’s internal conflict with the unraveling mystery, creating a gripping narrative filled with tension. The pacing is swift, with the plot propelled by a series of shocking twists and “OMG” moments that keep the reader guessing. The stakes feel incredibly high as Brooke’s secrets threaten to destroy not just her future but also the fragile relationships she holds dear.
What sets this book apart is its vivid character development. Brooke’s struggles are relatable, and her descent into the dark truths of her past feels authentic. The supporting characters add layers to the story, highlighting themes of loyalty, identity, and the masks we wear to fit societal expectations.
Lally’s prose is engaging, and her ability to balance the excitement of a murder mystery with the emotional depth of a coming-of-age story is commendable. The action sequences are tense, and the twists are both unexpected and satisfying.
No Place Left to Hide is a standout in the YA thriller genre, perfect for fans of fast-paced mysteries and psychological drama. Lally’s blend of high-stakes action and emotional resonance ensures readers will be hooked from the first page to the last. A thrilling read with plenty of heart.

No Place Left to Hide is a really quick YA thriller. This book definitely gives off Pretty Little Liar vibes. There is backstabbing between best friends, one dead friend, and threats from mysterious people. This book is really faced paced and keeps your attention. The only downfall for me was the characters. They just seemed so insufferable and hard to like.

Glad I was approved for the audio version. I had high hopes for this one because I really loved the author’s previous book. However, this one missed the mark for me and I found myself spacing out and losing interest. I really had hard time feeling anything for the characters or giving much care as to what happens to them. I wish I liked it more.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC . First of all I really enjoyed the narrator, I could feel the emotions in the voice. I really enjoyed how fast paced this book was and the two different timelines. I needed to know what happened before and what was going to happen. However I hated every character in this book. They will horrible spoiled kids. So it was somewhat predictable but a fun ride.

No Place Left to Hide is a fast paced YA thriller with unlikeable characters and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Justis Bolding did a great job as narrator. Now I need to read the author’s first book.
I will be purchasing the hardback for my high school library.

So many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, there’s another twist. I enjoyed the premise and the thrilling aspect of the plot. I am recommending!

This story was a very interesting listen and I ended up really disliking lots of the characters. It gave real Mean Girls vibes and had a lot of rich people acting badly. The twist was interesting and overall was a quick listen.
