I'm so glad I decided to take a chance on No Place Left to Hide. This thriller kept me interested from start to finish with complex characters, a well built mystery, and great tension all the way through with great end of chapter cliffhangers. Brooke Goodwin appears to have a perfect life, going to a perfect prep school and going to Yale in a few months. She just has to survive the next few months and she's free of a lake scandal from last year forever. However, one party and one night on the road threaten to dismantle everything. The story itself is told in dual timeline, telling both of the day of the nightmarish drive and the night of the infamous party. While one section was easy to get lost, I did enjoy how both mysteries progressed at the same time. Brooke was a very interesting protagonist from start to finish. As the story continues, she becomes more intriguing. The other characters were also fleshed out and have their moments. I called the big twist early on, which made it so satisfying when the truth was finally revealed, and made the ending that much sweeter. It was a twist that I think readers paying attention will catch, but many will be blindsided by it. There is plenty of profanity and some gore. The narrator, Justis Bolding, does a great job with the narration, especially once certain things are revealed. If you're looking for a good YA thriller, give this a try.

I like this aduibook. I think it had an interesting plot. It had me hooked from the very first page until the very end!

This was a quick and easy YA thriller to read! I liked the dual timeline, and the suspense, but this reads YA and one of the main aspects of this book is catty drama with HS girls, but this also had some adult topics mixed in.

Can I say wow! I can not believe how gripped I was by this story! I literally couldn’t stop listening.
This story is about a popular, wealthy, image conscious Brooke who is being blamed and harassed for her potential role in the death of her best friend Claire. What happened that night at the lake? Only Brooke seems to know mind you someone certainly thinks Brooke had something to do with it. After an evening of celebrating with her friends (Jenna and Felix) and her crush (Dylan) at a lake house it appears as though Brooke’s enemy/stalker is ready to get Brooke to confess at all costs.
This book was non-stop entertainment. I felt like I was back in high school or that I was watching an episode of gossip girl or pretty little liars. I’m an avid thriller reader and I must say this is a fantastic YA thriller. If I was in my teens I would have read this and made all my friends read it too. This is my second book by Megan Lally and I loved this one even more than the first (which I also really enjoyed). Solid 4.5 star for me..

Story: 3.5 ⭐️
Audiobook narration: 4.5 ⭐️
Overall: 4 ⭐️
The main character, Brooke Goodwin, is an Ivy-hopeful from a majorly well-to-do family, and she just needs to get through the end of her senior year (at a Waldorf private school, of course) unscathed. The problem is that someone clearly has it out for her in the wake of some Serious Drama™️ that took place at the back-to-school party she threw at her family's lake house. Now, she's finding slashed tires on her car, dirty lake water in her locker, and literally hundreds of calls from a mysterious blocked number on her phone. The last thing her family needs is its name dragged through the mud when they are waiting on her Yale acceptance and her dad's appointment as judge, so Brooke quietly cleans up the messes and puts her phone in airplane mode. If she ignores this, it will just go away, right? Right?!
Told from Brooke's first-person POV in two timelines, "before" (in the fall) and "now" (in the spring), the entire plot of No Place Left to Hide is the incremental revelation of who is after Brooke and what happened back in the fall that has them putting pressure on her.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I felt like the first half dragged along, but the second half was perfectly paced, especially once it became clear that the truth about both the past and present would be revealed at the end. These characters have exactly ZERO charm—in fact, they are downright insufferable—but I found their story ultimately satisfying.
Justis Bolding's narration was spirited and very listenable. This is my second listen from this narrator (the first being Here Lies a Vengeful Bitch by Codie Crowley), and I found her instantly recognizable when I heard one of the voices she uses for teenage boy characters. Felix in this book sounds *exactly* like the twins Hunt and Howl from Vengeful Bitch, and I can't decide if that is cool or not.

Author: Megan Lally
Megan Lally does a fantastic job of keeping the reader on their toes and unsure of what’s going to happen next. I felt as if the characters were built well in this book because by the end, I couldn’t stand any of them, even the victim, which I think was her point. This book read more YA than her previous thriller, which is jading my thinking a bit, her last thriller although YA did not read that way to me as much as this one. Obviously, that’s my issue not the authors.
Spoiler: The audio was great except for the very end when they were reading the text messages. All the initials and abbreviations made this part very confusing.
Enjoyable thriller, I will continue to look forward to Megan Lally's books.
Instagram review coming soon.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely be reading more. This was a fun and fast paced YA novel. Some of the twists were surprising others were a little predictable, however still entertaining. All of the characters were interesting and developed throughout the story. I listened to the audiobook the narrator did a great job, she narrated for all of the characters. Would recommend for someone looking for a YA action-packed story.

This book is about Brooke, who essentially has the perfect life. She's popular, her family makes good money, and she's planning on going to an Ivy League college. She goes to a party to celebrate and spends time with her crush, but when it's time to go home, she and her best friend are being followed.
In this book there are multiple time lines, one is present time where we are seeing Brooke being harassed/stalked . The second timeline is in the past where we learn about "the incident".
This book is kind of a more extreme version of mean girls. I will say that I wasn't completely surprised by all of the twists but some of them were surprising.
I recommend this book for fans of YA thrillers and Mean Girls.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an arc copy of the audiobook

This was my first Megan Lally read and it did not disappoint!
I really enjoyed this one! The characters were all really interesting and the plot was fantastic. I think Megan was able to put her own unique spin on the 'my friend died/was potentially murdered' trope. It had some really great twists and turns (even though I saw most of them coming), especially for a YA thriller. I absolutely adore books where everything is not what it seems and that is exactly what No Place Left to Hide provided.
Megan nailed, the plot, the characters and the writing. Read the whole thing in 2 days, that's how fast paced and addictive it was. 10/10 recommend!
I read the book as an audiobook and the narrator was great!

📚Review: No Place Left To Hide 🚔
I am a super fan of That’s Not My Name. It was my first read of last year. I liked it so much it was one of my top reads of the year. So when I saw Megan Lally promoting a new book, I was so excited for it. I couldn’t wait for it to come out. Then I saw the audio on NetGalley and decided to request it and hope for the best Well, I got approved and it did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this book! Although I did love That’s Not My Name more than I did this one, I still recommend this to anyone looking for a YA Mystery Thriller. It’s such a fun read and I couldn’t stop listening. And I even bought the physical copy after listening to it and I only do that for books I really like. ☺️
If you haven’t heard about this one yet, let me tell you. In this book, you meet Brooke Scott. Brooke is a rich girl, who has the perfect life. She’s got the perfect looks, the perfect grades. Everything is just perfect. She just got into her dream university and wants to celebrate at a bonfire party with all her friends Especially because the guy she likes will be there too. Every aspect of Brooke’s life is going perfectly, except for the fact there was an “incident” that happened in Brooke’s past. And now at the party, someone is sending her strange text messages and later in the evening, there is even a Bronco chasing her and her friend in her car. Suddenly Brooke’s future is being threatened and she will do just about anything to keep those secrets from coming out. It was told in a before and now timeline. Which kept you on the edge of your seat. This was so fun and fast paced. I just listened to this every chance I had until I finished it. I had to know what was going to happen. This was a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars for me.
I recommend this to anyone who loves a fast paced thriller. It’s out now, so grab your copy today.
Thank you to @netaglley and RB Media for this copy of the audio in exchange for an honest review.
Have you read this one yet? What were your thoughts?

This was so disappointing, I was super excited to start this because I LOVED That’s Not My Name however this one fell flat with characters that were so unlikable and snobby. I couldn’t stand the complete 180 character change 3/4 of the way through. I just wasn’t that interested in the mystery.

YA thriller. The main characters are Seniors in high school. But the problems they are facing are not children problems. I love a thriller where you don’t know who to trust. I also love a thriller that’s a little scary- like someone chasing you. This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. She only has 2 books out but I LOVED both. Highly recommend.

This thriller had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish! The plot was incredibly gripping, with twists and turns that kept me guessing at every chapter. The pacing was perfect, building suspense without ever dragging, and the characters were well-developed and complex. What truly stood out, though, was the ending—I did not see it coming. It was a jaw-dropping conclusion that tied everything together in a way that was both satisfying and mind-blowing. A truly exceptional read, and one I’d highly recommend to anyone who loves a good, unpredictable thriller.

Thank you Netgalley, MB media and Megan Lally for the eArc of No Place to Hide.
Narrated by Justis Bolding
This is the first of Megan Lally's books and I was pleasantly surprised how much I really enjoyed her writing style. No Place to Hide is writing on a duel time line, then and now which works really well in this mystery/thriller. The pacing of this narrative is medium and keeps you engaged as our main character, Brooke starts to find that someone knows about an " incident " that happened in the past. As the two timelines starts to come together, we get to see a great cat and mouse thriller.
As this is a YA, it doesn't shy away from age appropriate messages about life, love, trauma and the drama that comes with older teens. It's also not overdone so there is a nice balance between mystery/thriller and teen life which makes No Place Left to Hide a really enjoyable read. Im looking forward to reading her first book and others in the future.
This book was narrated by Justis Bolding who did a brilliant job of keeping up with the pacing and the intensity of the book.
4 stars

Such a good audio book! Really enjoyed this book such a great author it made my jaw drops few times would of never guessed the outcome at the end of the book

No Place Left To Hide was an enjoyable read. The story is intriguing, and the pacing makes it a quick and easy read. It is a great choice for fans of light thrillers looking for a quick escape. The narration was great and was perfect for this novel.
The story follows Brooke, a senior in high school that is looking forward to escaping her hometown by attending college thousands of miles away. She decides to attend a party as one last hoorah as she knows everyone will separate soon. However, she is soon reminded of an incident that occurred the previous Fall, that almost jeopardized her future, as well as the future of her prominent family’s reputation in the community. After leaving the party, someone soon goes through extreme measures to force Brooke to confess the truth about the supposed incident that occurred earlier that senior year.
Thank you RBmedia for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Image is everything to Brooke, especially after the “incident”, she feels the need to be perfect. When she celebrates getting into her first choice school and celebrates with friends she thinks the perfect ending to her night is sitting by the fire with her crush. It isn’t until the drive home where her and her best friend are tailed by a car, with phone calls threatening about “the incident” that she feels her life is in danger.
•
I ate this book up so fast. I literally devoured it in one sitting. I love when books just grab you right from the start. This story is told in dual timelines between the present - Brooke and her friend in the car running from imminent danger and in the past revolving around “the incident”. I absolutely loved that Lally would give us justtttttt a little bit more information about the past to keep you guessing what really happened.
•
The characters were written perfectly for this story and exactly how the story was supposed to be played out. Some were absolutely volatile, while some were your typical fake and others were sweet and innocent. Lally nailed the high school age with their fears, issues, sense of invincibility and privledge perfectly.
•
This book had that right amount of anxiety inducing and heart racing moments. I really enjoyed where Lally went with this one. It was the best ending, it also has a jaw dropping “whattttt” moment.
•
I listened to this one via audiobook. It was narrated by Justis Bolding. She was fantastic for the role. If you are thinking of reading this one - pick up the audiobook!

Overall, a great YA thriller. Definitely recommending to my thriller fans. Huge thank you to NetGalley, Megan Lally and Recorded Books for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley, RB Media, Recorded Books, Sourcebooks Fire, Megan Lally, and Justis Bolding (audio narrator) for the opportunity to read and listen to the audiobook of No Place Left to Hide in exchange for an honest review.
With a similar feel to her other young adult mystery thriller, That's Not My Name, No Place Left to Hide starts with a seemingly simple high school girl aiming for the top. When someone tails her car, aiming to ram her with their own, Brooke finds herself fighting for her life. When secrets come to light, her perfect future might not go as planned.
Brooke is the perfect girl, top of the class, from the perfect family, where image is everything. Getting to this point was quite the challenge, especially after a terrible accident that occurred after a party. Some people blame Brooke, that it wasn't an accident, but what more could one do...
The lengths one may go for a boy, for the perfect school, to protect their image, is almost carnal, as if the perfect life means everything. As if the loss of life means nothing if one's life is too perfect to be impacted.
This thriller is an exciting read for teen readers. It has the party scene, devious girls, and the high aims for college. There is some (extremely) minor political aspects to the accident that are rather intriguing as well. The thrills seem a bit slow at first, but that may be because of the alternating time frames of "Now" and "Before" following the events leading up to the accident and to the current threat on her life that Brooke must deal with, offering a somewhat slow ride, but certainly fulfilling. Yet another fun novel from Megan Lally.

I think this story has a great balance between the past and present. Starting off with a mystery of what happened and it slowly unavailing with the unavailing of people true intentions

This read is an intense, fast-paced thriller that keeps the tension high from start to finish! Brooke, seems like the perfect put-together high school student, with big dreams of getting into Yale, but the after effects of an accident (that happened at her party) the previous year are always looming over her! She gets talked into attending a fun little party at a beach house, thinking it will be the perfect escape to relax and socialize. But when a mysterious truck starts tailing her, things take a terrifying turn! Megan
Lally does an excellent job of weaving the suspense into every page, with plenty of twists that keep you hooked! The characters are complex, and their depth makes the story all the more gripping.
If you’re a fan of a good YA thriller you’ll probably devour this book in one sitting!
**Contains MA language, and teen drinking
Huge thank you to @netgalley and #rbmedia to the opportunity to listen to this audiobook! All thoughts and opinions are my own!
