I actually really enjoyed this book when I went into it thinking, here we go again. I loved the somewhat non-happy ending.

This was such a fun twisted YA mystery thriller! I found myself enjoying this one and slowly discovering the dark secrets with Brooke. I was beside myself while I listened. The narrator, Justis Bolding does a wonderful job portraying Brooke, Claire, and many of the other characters in this book. I couldn't help myself but picture everything like a movie. It was very well done and I plan on reading more by this author. If you love secrets, private high school, mystery thriller, and YA be sure to check this one out!

Thank you Netgalley & RBMedia for an ALC of No Place Left to Hide by Megan Lally. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for Goodreads & NG.
Once in a while I need a bingeable YA book that I can get through quickly, and this one hit the spot. I wasn't sure how I'd like it because the synopsis sounded a bit similar to others that I didn't love, but found myself unable to stop listening to this one. In the shower? Yes. In the car? Yes. At the grocery store? Yes. Hiding from my son for 10 mins so I could finish the chapter? Yes.
That being said, I give this one a 3.5 star rating because I really hated the main character. That was the point, so well done to the author, but I found her so irritating that it knocked .5 star off for me. Can't wait to see what Lally comes up with next!

In No Place Left to Hide, we are privilege to the inner thoughts of Brooke Goodwin, an around overachiever, soon-to-be Yale freshman, and current target of an increasingly menacing stalker. I have to say, there is something extra entertaining about a mystery/thriller audiobook told from the point of view of an unreliable narrator, and this one does not disappoint. Even if you figure out where this is all going, it's still a darkly funny wild to the end.
I highly recommend this one on audio; Justis Bolding does an excellent job.

Not one I'd want to read again. I wouldn't tell someone not to read this book, but it's not one that I strongly recommed either. I gave it four stars because the book defenitely picked up near the end and started to get exciting, but the first many chapters are slow and seemingly insignificant. It's also very important to remeber what "time" it is in the story. There's "then" and "now" and if you're confused as to where you are then it can make the story confusing as well.

Thank you netgalley and RBmedia for this ALC.

Title :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️i just like how after reading the while story the title just fits in so perfectly.
Cover :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the cover is pretty and i also like that it represents the story and the plot
Character development :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I like how the author has written the characters. Throughout the story you can see the characters emerge into thier full potential. The characters are well explained their persona and traits are so well described that we coukd guess how the characters were going to play out in the future. All the characters introduced have served their purpose in the story, there was no lags in descriptions or scenes building the characters.
Writing style :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have to appreciate the writing of the author. The book has characters of the mean girls persona, but the author has written in such a way that you eventhough hate the chaarcter, you sympathise with them. This is something not easily achieved by all in writing. The good characters seem irritating and the mean characters pull out our sympathy, there was a whole reverse emotions flowing out through me while I was listening to this book.
Originality and Plot : ⭐️⭐️⭐️ the plot seemed a bit common, but the writing style of the author made the book different. Although the twists and the plot mystery were almost guessable by 50% of the story, but i have to say, it seemed interesting.
Emotional Impact :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ i was invested in the story and was almost in an emotional confusion, at the end i was unable to understand why was I sympathizing for the bad guy and wishing bad of the good guy, then I had to orient myself to the whole truth and think quietly for myself and then was i at peace with the ending. I had to re orient myself to get my mental peace, i must say the author has a good writing style.
Overall :⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the story was good, but was a routine kind and almost guessable story. The twists were good but some parts were like i almost knew it was going to happen, but Overall i did enjoy listening to the story.

I have been hella excited for this since I knew it was a thing. I knew there was going to be some crazy shit that happened just like in her debut from last year. And it definitely did. Lally really has a weird imagination lol
Ok so when I read the plot of this I was confused as to how she was going to make a car ride thrilling and not repetitive. But I shouldn’t have worried. This whole thing might be a car ride, but the stakes keep climbing and so did the speedometer. It really was a lot. It stressed me out so bad in some places I had to pause and go color lol And let me just also say regarding the plot, please know that whatever you think you know, you don’t. I did get one part, but that was a tiny blip on the scale of what this book is. Trust me, you will NOT get everything there is to know about this.
As far as the characters….. Whew…. I don’t even want to go there. They were all over the place. I can’t say much about them, but yeahhhh they were all crazy. And when things start happening, I thought that person was so smart. But the other people ere smarter, I hope one day some friends as smart as them. You won’t understand it until you read it.
Now y’all know how I am when it comes to books that make me feel things. And this one is one of those books that makes me feel things. And the way it made me feel? Stressed lol The pacing has a lot to do with that. Even though they’re in the car, there’s always something happening. And the way they’re driving all erratically, it makes your heart hammer and stay there lol
This book is so crazy. Which is why I needed it in the first place. I knew this was going to be a good one as soon as I saw it. If you haven’t read Lally’s first one, you need to fix that by reading both of them ASAP!

Well I have to say, I was surprised by the ending. It was an enjoyable read, I was sad to see the father not standing by the daughter. :(

I loved "Thats Not My Name", so I was really looking forward to reading this book. It did not dissapoint and kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole book!
I don't want to cause any spoilers but I found some elements to be very predictable and others to be a bit more of a surprise. Either way, it was an enjoyable, quick listen!
Thanks to Sourcefire Books, NetGalley, and Megan Lally for the audio version of the ARC.

This book was a fun and easy listen. I really enjoyed it! It was the first book from Megan Lally that I’ve read and I would definitely read another from her..

I went into this not realizing it was a young adult novel. So, the theme and plot are certainly much more suitable for teenagers, but this is still a solid suspense story. Anyone about 15 years old would definitely enjoy.

Let me start with I am loving Megan Lally’s books,
I listen to audiobook and it was 10/10!
There were so many twist and turns just like car ride. I did not expect that ending!
Thank you NetGalley for the ara!

This was a fast read which I appreciate always. I was unfortunately not as invested as I wanted to be and I think the main reason was the constant timeline switch. It was easy to follow but at the same time my mind was never fully engaged into one place for a longer period. I also could really care less for any character.
However, I still advise picking it up if you like a fast paced thriller. The ending made it better, especially with the more in depth character development/realization. I did call something pretty early on, but obviously you aren't sure til you know.

No Place Left to Hide is a fantastically narrated YA thriller. I loved the unexpected twists and turns in the plot. Hand this to fans of Natasha Preston and Karen McManus. Recommend for YA collections where thrillers are popular.

No Place Left to Hide was a fun young adult suspense with teenagers that felt true. While the ending was a bit predictable, Lally added enough twists throughout to make me question my assumptions. The overall message of the novel was well done and didn't make me feel as though I was being lectured.
I really enjoyed the narrator and appreciated all of the voices she did as it helped differentiate the characters. I would definitely recommend this quick read.

The narration was good.
I have read That's not my name by Megan Lally and I loved that book very much. So I picked up this one but this kind of disappointed me. It is written well but engaging but I had figured out the end just when the book started. Unlike that's not my name where the end definitely surprised me and I didn't see it coming but here I had figured out what must have transpired on that unfortunate day and I had also figured it out who was behind all those threats.

No Place Left to Hide by Megan Lally is a captivating and intense thriller that kept me hooked from the first page to the last. This was my first book by Megan Lally, and it certainly won’t be my last. The novel delves into the darkness of secrets, guilt, and the high stakes of facing the truth when you’d rather leave the past buried.
What makes No Place Left to Hide such an engaging read is its psychological depth and the way it explores the complexities of guilt, betrayal, and the consequences of our actions.
The pacing of the book is excellent.
At its core, No Place Left to Hide is about the weight of secrets and the inevitability of facing the truth. It’s a thrilling, suspenseful story that examines the lengths people will go to in order to protect themselves, even when that means betraying those they care about.

A few months after her ex-bestie dies in an accident, strange things start happening to Brooke. She doesn’t tell anyone and completely stops going out or doing anything fun. She’s talked into going to a party that ends of going downhill…
I literally couldn’t stop listening to this and didn’t expect any of the ending. It was very fast paced and I’m sure if I had a physical copy that it would be a one-day read. It’s in the YA category but fun to throw one of those in every once in a while.

I'm going to preface this by saying that this is advertised as a Young Adult Thriller - so, my thoughts on this one may be swayed due to that. It's been a minute since l've read a YA novel!
It's also important to note that I’m not usually fond of High School drama; I steered clear of it in High School for a reason. Also, beware: these are some of the most unlikeable characters ever. They're not quite adults, but not teenagers either. 18-years-old, so sometimes their decision making didn’t make sense to me, but I get it, they're still figuring themselves out.
I did listen to the audio version of this, & the narration by Justis Bolding was great. I loved her voice & tone. She did a really good job at building the suspense & creating the fear - I could feel it in her voice. She truly brought the characters to life!
The short chapters with alternating timelines kept the action moving, & there are some unexpected twists near the end that I enjoyed. With its blend of privilege, mean-girl drama, & suspense, it was giving off the vibes of 'Pretty Little Liars' & ‘Gossip Girl’. So if those are your guilty pleasures, this just might be a good book for you!

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!
I really enjoyed this YA book. It was suspenseful and had characters that I loved to hate! The storyline was great and the fast pace kept me interested from start to finish. I liked how it moved from past to present. The twists were thrilling and I did not see the ending coming. What a wild ride!
Don’t hesitate to pick up a copy and settle in for some creepy twists and turns!
