This twisty thriller follows three friends, Rowan, Cadence and Jocelyn as they head to Wales for a bachelorette party.
The story starts by introducing the three women and the tangled relationships between them. It’s clear from the 3-way points of view that they’re all hiding secrets from one another.
The duel timelines and police interrogation chapters added extra layers, but I found myself kinda confused at times.
One challenge for me was differentiating between the three women. Their voices weren’t distinct enough, and I sometimes had to pause and remind myself who was who.
This was made trickier by there only being one audiobook narrator. I enjoyed her performance, but her welsh accent didn’t quite deliver —a detail that stood out to me having lived in Wales for a time.
The plot weaves in a lot of lies—between the friends, their past and the B&B guests. It all made for a fast-pace but also made it hard to keep track at times. By the end, it felt like everyone had something to hide, which made the big reveal satisfying but slightly overwhelming and not at all realistic.
If you love fast-paced thrillers packed with twists, secrets, and toxic friendships, this one is for you! Fans of unreliable narrators and tangled drama will have a lot to enjoy.
Thanks to Netgalley and Brilliance Audio for access to this audiobook ARC in exchange for my honest review

3.75⭐️
Looking back I’ve actually read several of Ichaso’s books but haven’t been thrilled with them. However this one was definitely the best one I’ve read. Im guessing she found he new niche of getting out of the YA game and writing adult characters as they feel a lot more real and better developed.
There were several twists and tunes throughout the book with propelled you forward to keep reading or in my case, listening to this multi POV thriller.
If you’re looking for a fast read or listen this is a good one to give you your thriller fix. Narrator Sarah Naughton did a good job with her recitation of the material although it was necessary to speed up to 1.25 to listen to it comfortably.
I am thankful to have gotten the ALC for free from Brilliance Publishing through NetGalley to read which gave me the opportunity to voluntarily leave a review.
My rating system since GoodReads doesn’t have partial stars and I rarely round up.
