This is a lovely gardening book.

Some of the information was less relevant for me in the UK (but I could tell that from the title!) and I actually found information about Plant Hardiness Zones quite interesting too read about. Despite being in a different country, it looks like this book will become a very helpful resource.

The pictures clearly demonstrate the roles perennial plants can have in some beautiful gardens, and helpfully they return and grow back every year.
This gardening book includes sections on designing your garden, pests, soil, mulching, cuttings and dividing plants to obtain more for free. There's a useful section with an A to Z of suggested plants, with clear descriptions and the use of icons to explain which growing conditions will suit the plant the most eg. heat / water / pest tolerance.

Thank you for the advance copy of this publication.
I will be putting this on my to-buy list. If you are a gardener and need a great reference this is it. This book covers it all for beginning to end in the perennial garden. Also included is an overview of plants.

This book is a true resource for a gardener residing in any of the planting zones of the USA. Sometimes these books ignore those of us living in Zone 10, but here my zone is represented! And I particularly enjoyed the troubleshooting section, as I plant new things every year and am sometimes mystified by what takes hold and what dies within a few weeks. The chart of common pests is especially useful as it has a description of the bug, the damage it causes, and how to treat your plants. Overall, this seems like a great value and resource for any gardener, new or seasoned.

As a mom of four I want to learn to garden for an outlet and this book was just so beautifully put together. I can’t get over the pictures and the knowledge in each page. Wonderfully done!

This was a wonderfully insightful read from the conception of gardening to the execution, along with descriptions, photos and best practices for common perennials.

I took tons of notes on the types of perennials that would thrive in my region as well as soil tips, as I have struggled in the past with my perennials not surviving past a single season because of my soil and location.

Looking forward to getting started on this year's garden!

Such an informative, wonderfully put together book about gardening. It deals with everything that you can think of - what you need, how to start, saving your own seeds, protecting your plants, when to plant what, how to make raised beds, etc.
I wish some of my late gardening enthusiast relatives were alive. They would have loved this book.
I will surely purchase it to improve my garden. I have found answers to all of my questions about gardening/growing plants.
