This is a great cookbook for anyone who wants to try their hand at cooking authentic Indian food on a time budget. This book does have some fish recipes, but most of it is plant based, vegetarian friendly.

Devi takes great care to make each recipe easy to follow and includes a small note about why she included each recipe in the books along with pictures of the final dish. She also made sure to make recommendations on which recipes pair well together and a section in the back that shows the best recipes to combine to host dinner parties.

I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to try out some of these recipes.

*Thanks to Anjula Devi, Quarto Publishing, and NetGalley for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for honest review*

Had a few interesting meals but I don’t think anything could honestly be made from scratch in 15 minutes. Nicely formatted with pretty pictures though.

Thanks to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group - White Lion, and Anjula Devi for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I will have to buy this when it comes out! What an amazing cookbook! As someone who has been vegetarian for about a decade now, Indian food has been a staple for me. It’s not something I make at home though…always bought premade. It just always seemed so daunting and like such a time consuming thing. To be able to have a whole book full of quick recipes—many of them vegetarian! There’s only one section for fish and the rest of the book is basically vegetarian. What a dream!!

The book is written well with personal touches included without it feeling like you have to flip through an eternity of irrelevant text to get to the recipes. The pictures are amazing. Layout and cover? Fantastic. Honestly, the only thing I found weird were probably things that were like lost in translation things. She mentions “shop-bought fried onions” many times throughout the book, and I doubt she means those fried onions that Americans put on green bean casserole. They’re included in the spices, so I’m assuming she means dehydrated onions? But even when I searched online…all that came up were the things we put on casseroles here in the states. Also, you might struggle to find some of the items in your grocery store, but I find that often even though I live in a big city. Really great cookbook.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed the variety of recipes, and that there were so many different flavors and combinations. The recipes look authentic, and there are quite a few I plan on making soon.

The photography was lovely, but I wasn't a fan of the large numbers for the steps on the recipes. It made it harder to read for me.

The instructions were very simple, and I think this would be a good book for someone who already has some experience cooking Indian food. I feel it could be difficult for a beginner to pick up and immediately start cooking from.

The ingredients could also be difficult to source if you don't live in a larger city, or have an Indian or Asian grocery store in your area. I live in a rural area and would not be able to get most of the ingredients here without having to drive about an hour away, or ordering them online.

This is the cookbook I've been wanting all my life! Genuinely easy, delicious, fuss-free recipes that deliver flavour fast enough to be doable after work and mid-week. Do stock up on some authentic seeds and spices but I didn't worry too much about leaving things out of making swaps, (like European as opposed to Indian bay leaves).

This offers brilliant vegetable dishes that can be eaten alone with rice and/or breads, as sides, or combined together. There are no meat recipes but there are fish and prawn dishes which suits me perfectly. And there are full colour photos with every recipe so you know what you're getting.

The 15 minutes comes from a combination of steaming and stir-frying so nearly everything is cooked in a lidded wok. A few things take longer if you have to chop vegetables first but still under 30 mins.

There are make-ahead spice mixes and even menu suggestions for combining dishes.

Modern, vegetable-rich, flavoursome and exciting, this is a brilliant collection of recipes that make cooking healthy, fun and delicious. I'd buy this for everyone I know and it might even convert some meat eaters!

As someone who loves Indian food but does not have any authentic restaurants in their vicinity, this book is such a blessing!

I love the way recipes were written and the informative pages at the beginning regarding tools and most importantly, the spices.

I will definitely be adding this cookbook to my physical shelf!

As a long time lover of Indian cuisine but simultaneously never having been one to love standing hours in the kitchen - this book feels like it was made for me. The recipes are easy, accessible and fun to create and the illustrations are adding a nice touch. Absolutely recommend.

"15-minute Indian: One-pan recipes using minimal steps and ingredients"
I was really looking forward to this book of recipes. Unfortunately, the title is very misleading. Each recipe has 12-20 ingredients. It would take me 15 minutes just to gather my ingredients, not to mention some of these items are difficult to source in the US. This had a lot of potential but missed the mark for me.

As an onboarding instructor, sometimes I’m required to train international new hires. Specifically ones located in India. I love learning about their culture and of course food is a huge part of their life and the easiest thing to bond over when meeting new people. So when this was available, I quickly requested it and was so pleased to be approved.

I cannot wait to try all of these recipes. This book makes Indian cuisine more accessible.
The layout is a great fit for the 15 min concept.

I love the premise of this cookbook - it makes flavour packed recipes accessible and quick. The book itself is stunning to look at with gorgeous mouth-watering photography that ensures the reader is desperate to try to attempt the recipe. The instructions seem to be very easy to follow and broken down into simple steps. I received an ebook as an ARC but know that I would much prefer to have this book in hard copy to browse through and use - it would also look fantastic on anyone’s shelf.

We love Indian food at our house, but I don’t make it as often as I’d like because most of my recipes are very time consuming. However, Anjula Devi has released an excellent cookbook, 15-Minute Indian: One-pan recipes using minimal steps and ingredients, which is filled with mouthwatering Indian food that is quick and easy to make. While there are recipes for fish and seafood, and dishes with eggs, the book is missing the most known dishes such as Tikka masala and butter chicken. That’s okay, however, because the recipes that are included are very appealing. There are recipes for chutneys, sauces, and spice mixes.

Devi has added her comments at the beginning of each recipe, which are interesting and helpful. The ingredients are listed next, followed by step-by-step instructions to make it very easy to prepare the dishes successfully – even or beginners. As is a usual thing with Indian food, some of the recipes include ingredient lists that are quite long, mostly with spice ingredients that make for authentic and delicious Indian flavors. The ingredients are available at Indian and Asian grocery stores, and I found that putting my Indian spices in a small bin in my cupboard speeds up my prep and makes it easy to save time when measuring. There are lots of recipes for vegetables that are mouthwatering, as well as eggs and seafood. There are no chicken, beef, or dessert recipes included.

Most of the recipes include beautiful, professional photographs that make it difficult to decide what to make next. The recipes are not only healthy, but they are attractive.

All told, this cookbook is excellent and gives cooks many recipes that are quick.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

This book is great! I like how all the recipes are clearly laid out on one page. While for me there will be some extra prep work that may take things a little over 15 minutes, I don't think it will add much more time. There's so many delicious looking recipes that look fun to mix and match for larger meals, and I'm particularly looking forward to trying the Quick Vegetable Rice with Cardamom, the Cardamom Potatoes and Dill, and the Easy Fish Molee!

I really liked the premise and organization of 15-Minute Indian. I'm skeptical that some of these recipes will actually be ready in 15-minutes or less, but I can see how they'd be fairly quick to make.

I'm vegetarian and was extremely pleased to see so many wonderful options. The recipes that I'm most excited for are Chilli & Garlic Paneer, Simple Scrambled Masala Eggs, Aloo Matar, Masala Broccoli, and Quick Vegetable Rice with Cardamom. I appreciated the suggestions to combine multiple recipes for a feast that came toward the end - I can definitely see doing that when having friends over.
