After befriending a sentient suit of armor, a fairy-in-hiding working as a lady-in-waiting learns from another fairy the truth about who she really is.
Vibes: Beauty and the Beast. Fern Gully.
I have been a fan of this webtoon for several years now, and the graphic novel did not disappoint. I love the premise of a sentient suit of armor with emotions. Ion this volume, the FMC (our fairy lady) and MMC (the suit of armor) are really getting to know one another on a deeper level. The side love story of her best friend marrying the adorable and lovable king is really the best part of this volume in my opinion. I love their shy romance. I shipped them both right away. There is also another cute couple added to the mix, in the sweetest fashion, between a knight and his squire.
Meanwhile, as the FMC begins to learn the truth of who she is, and what led to the persecution of her fairy people, she learns she doesn’t want to hide anymore. There is suspense, in the best way, on whether she is going to be found out, and who her true allies are…

I love the art style for Suitor Armor and the story so far. The groundwork has been set for an interesting story and it really leads you to wonder how much people actually know and how much is propaganda. I am interested to see how the minor romance subplot continues. Modeus is so cute and its awesome how much emotion can be shown through its one eye considering it is just a helmet. Cozy story with some underlying darker elements that I can't wait to continue to explore.

What a great second volume, this is quickly becoming a new favorite graphic novel series. It is so cute, the artwork is gorgeous and the main characters are so loveable. This volume had a little bit of everything and there were a couple of moments where I squealed with how cute it was. Highly recommend this series if you are wanting a cozy fantasy series.
I received an eARC thanks to Netgalley and Ten Speed Graphic, all opinions are my own

This story is so deep, and the art is so cute in contrast. I love this. I really like that each volume is long as well, I feel like I need even more.

I really loved this second volume. It builds on everything I liked in the first one — the characters, the art, the slow-burn tension — and adds more depth, especially for Lucia and Modeus. There’s a lot more emotional weight this time around, and the story is definitely picking up speed.
Volume 2 builds on the momentum of the first with thoughtful character arcs, rich visual storytelling, and deeper exploration of its magical world. The ending raises the narrative stakes significantly. Can’t wait to see where it goes next.
Highlights:
🧚♀️ Lucia’s development from court observer to active magic user is gradual and well-paced.
⚔️ Her relationship with Modeus gains emotional complexity, exploring themes of trust and vulnerability.
🎨 The artwork remains expressive and immersive, capturing both magical action and quieter, emotional moments.
🧙♂️ Expanded worldbuilding introduces new layers of fairy lore and political conflict.
👑 Increased court intrigue and ethical dilemmas add weight to the narrative.
Rating: ★★★★½ rounded up to 5★
I really enjoyed returning to this world and seeing these characters grow. The emotional depth, the gorgeous artwork, and the continued exploration of identity and power made this a standout volume.

I love this series so much!! Lucia, a fairy pretending to be a human, is lady in waiting by to the future queen as well as a mage apprentice. Modeus, a creation of the mage supposedly built to kill faeries, has developed a conscience, emotions, and the ability to speak. Prior to this volume he was was assigned to protect Lucia after she was attacked and they have since grown to be friends. Lucia is the only person who views Modeus as a being with autonomy and treats him as a person. A hunting trip has Lucia’s taking bigger steps with her magic and trusting someone with her deepest secret. This book is magical and kind and funny and beautifully illustrated. I can’t rave enough about this series!

Lucia and Modeus's adventures continue in volume two of this beautiful graphic novel.
Lucia and Modeus's relationship continues to grow, the fairy trapped in a human world that hates her and the machine designed to kill her species. As they continue to spend time together, Lucia spends the rest of her time facilitating the relationship between her lady and her groom, learning magic with the court mage that has a crush on her, and discovering more about her kind from the fairy captures in book 1 and the pixie that came with her.
I really enjoyed watching Lucia explore and learn, her wings are absolutely beautiful, as is the art as a whole, and the stakes just keep rising, I am stressed an anxiously awaiting the next volume.

Thank you for the are ARC of the second volume of Suitor Armor!
I was so excited to read this second volume to see where things progress and things did not disappoint. I am so in love with these characters and I truly hope that Lucia and Modeus are able to find a way to be together and happily.

SUITOR ARMOR walks a very careful line between balancing its forbidden romance, high stakes, and intrigue with an undeniable cozy energy. Both the whimsical art style and the writing are so incredibly charming. Romantasy in the purest sense.
Thank you so much to Ten Speed Press for the ARC!

I will start off by staying I didn't realize this was Volume 2.
I felt the story was beautiful and artfully done. I do think I was missing the content to fully enjoy the story for what it is since I missed book 1.
The author has come up with an interesting story line though and I think others will like it

This is a cute graphic novel and I love the artwork.
I Love Lucia, she is pretty, kind, caring, hardworking
unfortunately, it’s Modeus I’m not fond of.
I frequently find myself hoping that modeus and Lucia don’t end up together, even though the title basically says that the do.
Regardless, I will likely continue reading simply to satisfy my own curiosity.

Suitor Armor Vol. 2 picks up where we left off and jumps right back into our adventure! As we learn more about the kingdom and our heroine, as well as the relationships forming around her, we are drawn in to the web of lies and hope that is woven. I highly recommend this for a reading group ages 12+.

I love this series on Webtoons, and I’m loving the graphic novel so far! The story is thrilling, full of mystery, and I love the medieval-esque setting. Characters are interesting, dialogue is engaging, and I’m looking forward to more Suitor Armor!

This is a now favorite series of mine! I love following Lucia & Modeus' story more in this volume as Modeus's character begins to develop further, as well as the two of them in their relationship. Modeus is a great friend to Lucia (and hopefully something more as some point 🥰). After reading the first volume, I immediately went to Webtoon's app and started reading where the first volume left off and made it to about halfway through this volume's storyline. I'm a big fan of this art style, as well. Really excited to see where Purpah takes the story from here. I'm happy that this book really dove deeper into the fairy versus human lore that was set up in Vol. 1. Hoping all the best things for my girl, Lucia 🫶🏻 She deserves to be who she is freely and unafraid. I'll be reading on the app but also not-so-patiently waiting on the third installment!

A truly beautiful volume two, of a series I remember fondly on WEBTOON! The art is stunning from front to back, and Lucia and Modeus captured my heart. The fairy lore becomes even more interesting. I definitely need more!!

Okay, first things first, the cover and inner cover art are stunning- what a welcome back. And let me tell you, there are some INCREDIBLE pieces included in this volume. I'm so impressed that the art has improved already, and I have recommended a few friends to pick this up when it releases. Relating to the art, I found that the transitions into more serious or dark moments were MUCH more natural than the first volume! My only big issue with the first collection was the jarring art changes during tonal shifts. I found the art (and writing) here to be more fluid and consistent overall.
I loved the characters in this volume even more than I did in the first. Lucia is one of the most lovely characters I've read in recent years, and Modeus is such a charming protector. Purpah does an excellent job portraying emotions through subtle changes in Modeus' stance, head tilt, and pupils, so he's remarkably easy to read. Their conflicts and anxieties felt more substantial and meaningful, and I really appreciate having high stakes in a romantasy. The real dangers for Lucia and the will-he-won't-he tension she has around Modeus made this entry so interesting. Despite lingering over the art, I read through the 272 pages in one evening, not wanting to pause.
Kirsi and King Reimund had a lot of growth, as well. They connected in a way that caused immediate change in Reimund and brought the two of them closer. I mostly saw development in Reimund afterwards, but hope to see more confidence and open-mindedness in Kirsi's future. Even the side characters are more effective in this volume: Norrik's backstory was so sweet and tragic, though he still screams problem to me. Quinn brought further tension and stakes to the narrative. Baynard and Peres don't do all that much to change the story, but their acceptance and support of Modeus and Lucia are helpful to keep conflicts from rising to a fever pitch. Make sure you read the bonus chapter at the end, it had me mentally giggling and kicking my feet.
I can't think of any issues I had with this second volume. I absolutely loved it, more than the first, and hope to read the third volume ASAP. Huge thanks to Netgalley and Ten Speed Graphic (from Clarkson Potter/Ten Speed Press) for access to this digital ARC. All thoughts are honest, genuine, and my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy.
In volume 2 we continue with Lucia and Modeus becoming closer, and Lucia finding ways to use her magic. There are some hard truths learned by all. But I have no doubt that these two will be able to rise to the occasion.

I absolutely love this story. I read it on webtoon, and was thrilled to see it here and eager to reread. The art is so good, if I could eat art I'd eat this. The characters are all so brilliantly written, the world build unique and familiar all at once. I enjoyed every second of this story!!!

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A fantastic Volume 2! My patrons are loving this series and are looking forward to next as much as I am! The artwork is amazing and I love how we are learning more about Lucia and fairy magic and meeting another fairy. She still has a lot to learn about her self as does Modeus. Lady Kirsi and King Reimund are getting closer as the wedding nears but Kirsi's father is still to sick to come back so I look forward to learning more about his storyline along with more information about fairies and what that will mean to Lucia.

I would like to thank the publisher for sending ma an arc in exchange for an honest review through NetGalley.
Lucia is excited about starting her mage apprenticeship with Norrix, still the lady-in-waiting for Lady Kirsi when she's not practicing, and doing all of this while being accompanied by Modeus -- the suit of armor that was enchanted and brought to life by Norrix for help with the human-fairy war. Lucia's and Modeus's becomes a bit strained when they discover the truth as to why he's been created, but Lucia is determined to show him the beauty of life and the world around him, offering him a chance to make his own choices. As Lucia begins to discover the darker side of the truth, she'll have to make decisions she's not ready for. Will she be able to find the answers she's seeking?
UGH I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH. I honestly stopped reading the webtoon at like episode 10? (Not because I wanted to but because I lost the name of it) and so this was all new to me and I couldn't get enough of it. My heart broke when she learns his true purpose for having been built, and then to see her struggling with trust because for the first time she finally can trust someone was just a punch to the gut. This poor girl has been living in fear for over a decade now, and of course everyone immediately begins to become suspicious of her because of her trust in Modeus and the way they interact and it was heartbreaking. And then that ending?! MY HEART IS BEATING WAY TOO FAST NOW.
