I requested this ARC because I had loved some of Ms Becnel's historical romances, and I thought this was a romance.

It's not.

"The Christmas Train" is what I would call Christian fiction, and entirely not my cup of tea.

The writing is competent, because I don't think this author can write badly if she tried, but the story is far too saccharine for me. 6.00 out of 10

This was one of the sweetest stories I have ever read. I shed a few tears here and when a story can do that well that really says alot for the story! I despised Anna's mother who needs her tail kicked three ways from Sunday. She is so ugh is there even a nice way of putting how I feel about her? Heck no. Off with her head!

I was so happy Anna got to spend some time with Eva. I felt they both needed each other on that ride more than they both even knew. It was just so heart warming.

I loved it!

I was hoping for more from this story but I found it rather dull and boring. It was a great idea but I feel it fell short just a tad.
