Loved reading the engaging and amazing romance story. When Drake sees the artist, Grace, he can't stop looking at her, buying all of her paintings, tries to stay away from her, but someone learns his secret and now he and Grace are in the crosshairs of a killer. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting love story. Can't wait to read the next story by the awesome author, Lisa Marie Rice!

Mah, as much as it was better than the first one, it's not that this second book blew me away, plus I've never been a fan of mafia romance. So I'll end it here for now.

A cut above the usual mafia romance - obsession, betrayal, murder, and twists at every corner. Strong story intertwined with true love and a healthy dose of spice. The story and action are as strong as the emotions - makes for an addictive read.

I found it a little funny that Grace was against the idea of Drake moving drugs but weapons is better and makes it okay. I guess if you're going to have a very ruthless, rich guy they figure that it has to be one of those. Drake is both of those. When it comes to keeping Grace safe he stops at nothing. That's what I enjoyed most about this book.

“Dangerous Passions,” by Lisa Marie Rice, is technically part of a series, but this book has new characters and a new situation, so it can easily be read as a stand-alone. We meet Viktor “Drake” Drakovich, a man with lots of money and lots of power, but rather an alone nomad. Due to his past - and his present - he trusts no one … until he sees a painting, followed by the artist herself. The paints speak to him - so he purchases every painting the artist, Grace Larsen, creates - and has done so for a year. One day while watching Grace and the paintings, Drake is forced to bring Grace into his world. While there is some Instalust on Drake’s part, Grace feels the spark but learns to want to be with Drake in all ways. This book definitely has “sexy time” but there’s also the constant hint of an assassination attempt. I found the ending to be a bit too unbelievable, but at least they had a good ending. This was a quick read, but Grace was a bit passive for my taste (maybe still overwhelmed by the attack?).

What a great read! When a ruthless killer falls in love it changes his whole life. When his enemies find out that he’s interested in Graces artwork, and a few other things, they find a way to use this against him. Can he get to her before they do?

Have been a fan of LMR forever! Midnight Man is on my perpetual re-read list. Dangerous Passion did not disappoint. Drake is the ultimate alpha male and Grace just what he needed. Super spicyy - no one can write a "scene" like LMR. That slow burn is delicious! Loved the title and look forward to the third in the series!

I like that even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. But, I want to read the other titles now. I was entertained with this story and liked Rice's storytelling ways. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

This is an action packed story with an alpha being brought to his knees. Drake is determined to purchase each artwork by the best artist and he is outside the gallery like normal watching her show new work to the gallery owner. Then everything happens at once and he is face to face with the woman he has loved for a year. Grace has enjoyed selling all of her artwork but she wished she knew who the mysterious buyer is. She never expected to end up meeting him in such dire circumstances but one can’t have everything. While they are fighting to survive things develop. Will things end with everyone happy or will things explode before they have begun?
