What a thrilling and twisty read! A domestic thriller full of deceit and lies that need unravelling.

I was hooked from the prologue, where we meet our protagonist at her home, which is identified as a crime scene for an unexplained reason - “We are now that house, that family, caught in a storm of police lights and whispered suspicions”.

Mostly told from the perspective of Josephine Marie Hargrove, usually known as Jo - a ‘lifelong rule follower’, a dedicated mother to Ashton and Megan, and a supportive wife to Everett. Jo gets talked into welcoming a foreign exchange student, Eden, into her home and many unintended consequences follow.

This had a well-paced plot, with plenty of interesting characters. I enjoyed the unexpected twists and the unveiling of several truths. Jo was realistically depicted as an anxious ‘helicopter parent’.

With many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the digital review copy, for review consideration with an honest review.

This is the first book I have read by Danielle Stewart, and after reading this one, I am excited to read more of her psychological thrillers.

3/5 ⭐️
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC of "Three Little Lies" by Danielle Stewart.
This was a fun and easy to read thriller, and I really enjoyed it. The opening scene was quite intriguing, but I felt like the story could have been executed better, and the pace of the story could have been better. I did see some of the twists coming, but the others I didn't see coming. The ending wasn't how I had imagined, which I was a little bit disappointed in, but I loved how they all came together in the end, and everything turned out well.
If you want a fun and suspenseful thriller to read, I can highly recommend this one.

I have a feeling this won’t be my last read by this author. The story was amazing with lies, deceit and more lies…the plot twists were crazy and it was a real page turner full of suspense and kept me wanting to read on. It was engaging with excellent character development. I would highly recommend to anyone that loves a good thriller/mystery.

I’m getting more and more into mystery/thriller/crime/suspense (I don’t know what the actual genre of these are called lol) and I really enjoyed this one. I did not see a single thing coming, like AT ALL which is great!

I really enjoyed the ease of the writing and the quick-paced plot. There also were several moments where I actually gasped from shock due to some of the twists and turns; I mean, seriously, this book has everything you want in a good thriller - murder, infidelity, kidnapping, and more.

I enjoyed, especially, the narrative perspective and character of Jo and found the ending wholesome (I’d say more but don’t wish to spoil it!).

However, I have read many thrillers and this one just fell a bit short for me. First off, the first 100 pages or so did not feel very suspenseful, even with the opening crime scene. I also hoped for a bigger reveal at the end pertaining to Jo’s lie.

If you enjoy reading thrillers and want an easy-read that will basically guarantee you a few hours of enjoyment, pick up this book!

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookcouture for the advanced reader’s copy.

Wow! I have read so many psychological thrillers, but this is not your typical one! It held my interest from start to finish, with interesting characters and twists I didn’t see coming! I was completely engrossed. Amazing book! Highly recommend.

After being cornered by "that mom" at school, the one who showers you with what is either praise or criticism (you're never quite sure which), Jo agrees to open her home to a foreign exchange student. Her home, which is uniquely perfect for the student because of her son's food allergies. Her home, where her daughter is rapidly becoming a sullen tweenager who suddenly hates her mom. Her home, where still she cannot find refuge from her crushing anxiety.

This book was quite the ride. I started reading around 6 and I'm up writing this review just after midnight. I couldn't put it down! I'll be honest, I didn't like any of the characters for most of the book... but I was INVESTED in their story and the next twist that would be revealed. Jo, as I mentioned previously, suffers from crushing anxiety. This book is one of the realest portrayals of anxiety I have come across.

I came into this book blind. I was a first time reader of this author and, to be honest, chose the book because of the cover BUT I'm so glad I did! It was an excellent, engrossing read and I can't wait to read more from this author. This book is a definite Read It!

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. It grabbed me from the beginning and had some good twist and turns to ride. There is definitely room to improve on the flow and the unfolding of the story, but overall quite enjoyable.

Jo is harboring a secret, and her husband, Everett, seems to be hiding something of his own. Meanwhile, Eden is also sitting on some secrets, and the rest of the family finds themselves on a rollercoaster of unexpected twists and turns they never anticipated or signed on for.

Early into the story, I initially felt confident about where the storyline would go. I love when a narrative surprises me, and this one certainly did. I couldn't have been more off-base!

This captivating read took me on a thrilling journey, unveiling the truths concealed by the Hargrove family's intricate web of lies and deceptions. The atmosphere of suspense kept me on my toes, hinting at exciting possibilities and leading towards an anticipated, dramatic climax. However, while the conclusion was enjoyable, it didn't quite pack the punch I hoped for.

Overall, I found this to be a genuinely engaging read filled with complexity and suspense, and it will linger in my mind for quite some time.

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture & Danielle Stewart for an ARC of Three Little Lies in exchange of an honest review.

I loved this book! The first 30% is slow paced as the author develops the characters and sets the plot. After the first twist hits, hold on to your seat, because you’ll want to finish this read in one go! I loved the authors writing style, it’s perfect for a “crack thriller” that you just can’t get enough of, and you won’t want to put down. I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a very popular read for 2025!

Three Little Lies is exactly my kind of book. It's a domestic thriller about a family who isn't exactly as they appear. A mom with a dark unknown past, a successful husband who isn't exactly as he seems and the chaos that comes when they accept a foreign exchange student to live with them and their two children. There are twists and turns that keep you on your heels throughout the story.

I really liked the use of putting us in the POV of the mother Jo throughout the majority of the story. Her anxiety really transferred to the reader as every time she gave in from her helicopter parenting ways it made things worse and she had to either double down or act like the cool "chill" mom. The relationship with Jo and her daughter Megan is extremely authentic. I have a daughter a similar age and the constant back and forth on phones, social media, sleepovers all felt like it was taken from my life. The moment when Megan the tried and true daddy’s girl stands up for her mom in the argument was moving and unexpected. It was a really great plot point. And I loved how the twists and turns lead to a fulfilling ending.

Thank you to Danielle Stewart and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this ARC. Although the book started a little slow, it became quite a twisty tale that kept me up late reading! Lies unravel and the character motives are revealed bit by bit. Some of the twists were revealed in chapters written from different character perspectives which I always enjoy. The ending wrapped everything up perfectly. I would definitely recommend this book, and I will be looking for other opportunities to read books from this author.

I found Danielle Stewart when I accidentally read her version of The Teacher last year. I was gripped. Danielle can tell a story like no other and keeps you intrigued enough even when the book is slow to continue reading.

The first 20% of the book I was intrigued. Almost bored but intrigued. I knew something was going to happen I just didn't know what. And then like a spiral staircase the lives of Megan and her family begin to unravel, and boy did they unravel past. I thought I knew what was going on many times within the book but I was wrong. Even when I did figure out part of the ending the other part shocked me.

This book is definitely worth the read. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC!

I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC for Three Little Lies. This was my first time reading a book by this author and I certainly plan on reading more. This was intense reading because I couldn't tell what was true or what was a lie. I didn't know who was good or bad. As the book started to close, I was thinking I knew what was going on now! Wrong! A bomb was dropped at the end which was totally unexpected. It was a great read.

Such a great thriller! I couldn’t put this one down and ended up reading it all in one day. The twists kept coming, and I was on the edge of my seat until the very end—I definitely didn’t see the final reveal coming. The story centers on an overprotective mother grappling with anxiety, all while uncovering the tangled web of lies and secrets that families can hide from one another. Highly recommended for thriller fans!

I had a hard time putting this one down! There was one twist that felt sort of obvious after I read it but the other(s) did not! The only part that felt unnecessary to me was Jo’s past and the letters she got, I can understand in the end how it helped her bond with Eden but it still felt like it could have been left out as well. I’ll definitely recommend this book!
