This was a good mystery/suspense novel. It was a quick easy read with a good twist to the plot at the end. Those are always the best kind!! At the beginning of the book, the main character (the mom), Jo was receiving mysteries threatening letters in the mail and I really thought this was going to be the basis of the book but it quickly turned into lots of secrets between Jo and her husband. Jo was a bit of a overbearing, helicopter Mom and so many times I wanted to yell at her and tell her to stop what she was doing!! LOL!! But she really did have good intentions for her kiddos and as the story develops and they have a foreign exchange student come leave with them for weeks, their family will never be the same.
Thank you Net Galley and publisher for an advanced eARC of this book!

Thank you NetGalley! This is my first book by this author. It started out great. I really felt bad for the main character and the way she’s treated by her family. It definitely pulled at my emotions for her. I was drawn in to what would happen next

Jo is your basic gentle parenting helicopter mom, but to the extreme. She has severe anxiety and her son Ashton’s severe allergies make her hover over him and his older sister, Megan. Nonetheless, she’s a good mother and wife to her husband Everett, and they have a good life. He has a great job, they have a nice house, and their kids go to a coveted private school.
While in the school drop off line, Jo is basically accosted by a fellow mother. Eloise tells her about an exchange student program that they are getting involved in, and she’s hoping Jo will do the same. Eden is a 17-year-old girl from a small town in England, and she’s never been to a big city. She also has severe allergies, and it would make sense for her to live with a family that has a kitchen setup that prevents cross-contamination.
After learning it’s only for six weeks and getting the okay from Everett, who is always out of town anyway, they agree to take Eden in. The young girl is so excited to see America, to go to a mall, to see reality shows when they air instead of waiting months for them to be broadcast across the pond. She and Megan are getting along well, and everything seems fine - until Jo starts to notice something off about Eden. This girl seems fake, strange things keep happening when she is around, and Jo starts counting down the time until she’s gone. Who exactly did she let into her home?
I wish I could get into more of the story, but I can’t without spoiling how much fun this book was to read! I thought the idea of using an exchange student in a thriller was really original, and the book sped along until the ending. The ending was good but I have minor complaints (that you’ll only understand if you read the book): the notes weren’t necessary. That part of the book was so small, and it really didn’t seem to have anything to do with the story. Also, the title and synopsis are slightly misleading. Other than that, this was great and I loved Jo as a character. 4.5 stars.
(Thank you to Bookouture, Danielle Stewart and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my review. This book is slated to be released on March 13, 2025.)

3.75 stars rounded up to 4.
I had guessed the plot early on but really enjoyed the writing style and the story. It was my first book from this author, but I would definitely read more.
Thank you NetGalley for a free copy in return for an honest review.

Fantastic five star read! I loved this and raced through in a few days. Jo, the perfect Mother to Ashton and Megan but finds her world unravelling around her.
I was questioning everyone ….. had NO idea where this was going.
Loved it. Thank you 🤩

I love that this book was quite the rollercoaster- that’s exactly what I want in a thriller. It makes you not want to put the book down because you don’t know what will happen next. The author did this flawlessly. I enjoyed all the twists and turns. I would absolutely recommend this book!

OMG what book. Had me on the edge of my seat, literally couldnt put it down. Totally full of twist and turns! Highly recommend

This book had plenty of twists and turns to keep me interested. Several of which I did not expect. I thought the twist of what is really happening with Eden’s disappearance was clever. However, I felt like Jo’s twist at the end could have been written better. It feels as if Jo spends a good chunk of the book stressing about her dark secret. But when it’s finally revealed it just seemed kind of reasonable to me. I understand why she would carry guilt about it, but it didn’t feel nearly as big as the book made it seem. I do like the strength and independence the author gave Jo. Overall, this book was a good read and I would read other books by this author.

Very good and quick weekend read. Kept me on my toes with guessing what was going on.
The characters are great and Jo is wonderful. She definitely trusted her instincts and also had so much love to give.
The husband is an ass.
I do wish the story talked more about Jo’s secret and the letters. That kinda seemed more like a blip or afterthought.
Overall very good book.
Thank you NetGalley for the copy.

Thank you @netgalley for approving the Advance Readers Copy. This book is going to be published on Mar 13 2025 |
Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart is an amazing psychological thriller, unstoppable page turner with unexpected, jaw-dropping twist, a book that challenges something beyond the plot and place, it requires concerns about relationships of all manners. It also challenges something more deep; it urgently asks a sensitive question, putting mother's care under microscope and uncovered smell of selfish air in the over protective nature of mother's love is a powerful assumption that author used successfully in creating high octave suspense and a critical mysterious twist.
This gripping thriller started with irritating mom Jo who is overly concerned about her younger child's allergy,
she also advocates for children's allergy and protection campaigns, and skillfully convinces her children that they are not capable of anything, they are kids and always need protection, very narcissistic behaviour and after few times it becomes too much irritating. In a school exchange program a new student, a girl is coming to the city. This girl also has the same allergic condition as Jo 's son so eventually the school authority team asked Jo to be the host family for the girl because of health issues and Jo agreed with confidence and was eager to prove her mothering talent.
But, after some days the girl suddenly disappeared and the main thrilling atmosphere began. The unputdownable book reached its ending point with a head spinning twist. In this book every character has skeleton in their closet and you will be dying to pick your assumed culprit but the tangled plot wouldn't let you make your mind for any character.
It's the finest twisted thriller I have read in a long time. I would call it absolute absorbing, unseen exploration, an absolute master plan.
Thriller lovers must read.
Rating - 5/5 ⭐

I enjoyed this book, felt like a rollercoaster with some pretty good twists and kept my interest. I enjoyed the writing style and will read more from this author in the future.

Great twist and turns!! Slow start but picked up quickly!! Will ready another book by this author!!
Thank you net galley for this ARC!

I rated this book 3.75 stars because it was overall a fast paced psychological thriller that I enjoyed.
Jo, her husband and two kids are from a wealthy neighborhood. A local woman talks Jo into taking an exchange student into her home. Jo is weary at first but she gives in and thinks it will be good for her daughter since Jo and Megan are currently butting heads all the time. Little things keep happening and Jo is trying to figure out how the exchange student might be involved or not.
This book had some wild things I didn’t see coming. Thanks netgalley and publisher for a chance to read this for free in return for my honest opinion.

Where to begin...
The plot of this book surrounding an exchange student moving into a new family's home was definitely an interesting premise. From even the initial reading of the blurb, the audience understands that this is not an event which will go smoothly.
The twists surrounding each character were definitely unexpected, with the layers of mystery and deceit being peeled back throughout the book. Just as you think you have a firm grasp on the reality, the next chapter... page... sentence... word.... ensured that your thoughts are turned on their head!
The characters themselves were generally well developed - would have preferred the conflict ending to have been stretched out a little further, however there was still enough depth given to make it a thrilling read!

This was the first book I have read by Danielle Stewart. The plot was great and the book kept you in suspense. A very fast paced delivery that will keep you guessing.

A woman's marriage is rocked by lies that lead to a shocking revelation. As her husband's deceit unfolds, she must protect her family at all costs, even if it means facing the truth about his dark actions.
This book was a quick and captivating read, unfolding like a thrilling mystery that kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. Bravo!
Told from the perspectives of Jo and Eden, the story delves into their secrets and unexpected revelations. As the plot unravels, it becomes clear that there are no coincidences in life. This book serves as a testament to that, showing how trouble can find us when we least expect it, no matter how far we try to run.
I found myself rooting for both characters, hoping for a happy resolution amidst the unexpected twists and turns that filled the story. Everything comes together in a satisfying conclusion that ties up all loose ends.
This was my first time reading a book by this author, and I am eagerly anticipating more. If you enjoy domestic thriller mysteries with a fulfilling ending, then this quick read is sure to captivate you.
Thank you, Bookouture for the digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book was captivating, thrilling, and at times so mysterious that no matter how hard I tried, I could not predict what was coming.
I’ve read a lot of thrillers and can usually piece things together, but while I had my theories, the conclusion still caught me off guard—in the best way. No predictable twists here!
The plot was tight, with no noticeable holes, and the morally gray characters? Chef’s kiss. I adore a cast where everyone operates in that murky middle ground.
The multiple POVs worked perfectly—not too many to be confusing, just enough to keep the suspense high.
If you love an unpredictable thriller with compelling, complex characters, this one is definitely worth the read.

I want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for the advanced ARC of Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart in exchange for an honest review.
Danielle Stewart invites us into the lives of a well-off family. Everett, Jo, Megan and Ashton seem like the perfect family. Everett has a lucrative job in the Tech field, but he travels a lot for business and is not home much. Jo tries hard to be the perfect mom and control everything in her family's life. Megan is the angsty pre-teen who is trying to gain some freedoms from her helicopter mom, and Ashton is the youngest child with a food allergy. Megan and her mom Jo are in the wonderful preteen stage where everything is a battle. Jo gets an opportunity to house an exchange student, and she thinks this will solve her problems with her preteen daughter. What could possibly go wrong?
This was a fantastic psychological suspense story. The book was a quick read that I could not put down. People who like psychological thrillers in a domestic setting will enjoy this book. Similar author styles to this book are Freida McFadden, Lisa Jewell, Lucy Foley and Ruth Ware. I highly recommend this book to Mystery\ Thriller lovers.

I could not put this domestic thriller down, and I devoured it in two days! loved the family drama, lies, twists that have their own twists, and I really liked the mom and FMC, Jo. I relate to her mama bear personality and her challenges of raising a tween to teen girl because middle school is so much fun 😅 anyhow, she doesn't take crap from any one, and I really enjoyed her. I am so glad I read this and will be reading more by this author!!
