The beginning of this book was rough and I almost DNF’d at 22%. Jo was just so unlikable. But I kept going and things started getting good! Then the final twist was bit of a reach for me. It was a fast read though!

What starts as a simple date night for a couple quickly spirals into a night that changes everything. *Lies, adultery, murder, and multiple points of view*—this domestic thriller packs all the elements I love into one gripping narrative. From the very first page, the story hooks you and doesn’t let go, delivering a wild ride that’s as thrilling as it is unpredictable.
This book is like a rollercoaster: scary, exhilarating, and filled with more twists and turns than I could have ever anticipated. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the story took a sharp turn, leaving me stunned and eager to keep reading. The author masterfully plays with expectations, and I loved being proven wrong time and time again. The multiple POVs add depth and complexity to the story, making it impossible to put down as you piece together the truth alongside the characters.
If you’re a fan of domestic thrillers that keep you guessing until the very end, this one is a must-read. It’s a heart-pounding, twist-filled journey that will leave you breathless and questioning everything you thought you knew. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a good psychological rollercoaster!

A phycological thriller with many surprises and full of suspense. I got hooked before the half mark with all the twists. A page turner!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
- So far the first chapter caught my interest. The topic of Ashton having food allergies got me. I myself have and grew up dealing with food allergies, so that mention in chapter 1 was something I could relate to.
- Only 22% in and I keep telling myself last chapter because I need to sleep, but I can’t stop reading! I sense some sort of evil in Eden and I just wanna know how she unleashes it lol.
- Allergy Mistake #1 with Ashton being old enough, Jo should have taught him to not accept food from other people without showing it to her first.
- Ok the book def picked up FAST right before half way. I couldn’t stop reading. So much, I had no notes to write down along the way.
- I still had a dislike for Jo though even in the end.

Wow!! When a wife with a traveling husband invites a foreign exchange student to move in for 6 weeks with her moody preteen that hates her and her young son with allergies what could possibly go wrong. The secrets and lies just keep building until the final trauma dump.

My first book by this author. Lots of suspense and of course lies!!! Shocking twists throughout!!

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this arc.

This is the first book I've read about Danielle Stewart I would definitely be bringing more of her books. It was just an oh my Omg book, I read this book in 2 days because I just could not put it down I had to know what was going to happen next. The characters it was like they were real and I knew them definitely can't wait to read her next book...

A book filled with secrets and backstories and definitely more than three lies. A girl is matched with an American family to come and stay for six weeks and experience a fantastic school. Seems like a perfect match as the girl has allergies and so does the son in the host family and the mum has food safe down to a tee. Then things start not to add up and it all gets a bit mysterious, including doubts starting to mount up about the dad who seemingly works away a lot. There is a lot going on and we’re all a bit unsure about who we’re trusting. I think my main issue with this book is that I really didn’t warm to the main female character, in fact none of the characters were particularly likeable so my investment in what happened to them was too low. The exchange student wasn’t very plausibly English either, her turns of phrase were halfheartedly still very American and the rough mentions of her small town England lack of opportunities riled me somewhat. There were technically twists and turns in the story but it was all a bit too implausible and far fetched. The theme which sort of ran through with the anonymous notes wasn’t quite right or integral enough and thought through either. All in all a fairly ok read but a bit daft, halfhearted and implausible so despite the depth of emotions and happy ending I couldn’t really force myself to like this enough to recommend it with any gusto.

I really enjoyed this thriller. I wasn't expecting the direction the book would take towards the end and was really surprised by some of the plot twists. All in all, I give this book 4 stars. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC!

When Jo and Everett’s first night out in a long time is disrupted by a phone call from their daughter, they find their exchange student is missing and blood is in the garage. Their lives are uprooted and their lies are on full display for everyone to see, but who knows if the truth isn’t just another, bigger lie. A fast paced family story with psychological twists and turns throughout.

I loved this one. There were a few twists that when they happened I was like " I knew it!" and for that reason I dropped it a star but this kept me so engaged. I finished it in 2 sessions and could not put it down.

Four and a half stars rounded up. Danielle Stewart’s “Three Little Lies” was the first book I read from her, but it won’t be the last. I enjoyed the book more than I thought I would, mainly because I read a lot of mysteries and thrillers.
Jo and her husband, Everett, have been together for years. They have two children, Megan (aged twelve) and Ashton (who is younger). Jo is approached at her children’s school to host a seventeen-year-old exchange student named Eden for six weeks. Jo convinces Everett it would be good for their family to host Eden. She believes it would help with Megan’s attitude over the past six months and she can help with Eden’s food allergies due to handling Ashton’s allergies. Eden disappears a couple weeks before she’s due to leave, while Jo and Everett are at dinner. The police suspect foul play because they find blood in the family’s garage.
The reader knows from the description that all is not what it seems. This book has a nice pace to it and a couple twists that are maybe not surprising, but still interesting. I appreciate the author not giving me a cookie-cutter type of storyline and the book’s ending.
Overall, I recommend this book. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my ARC.

"It's hard for me to admit just how much people's hypothetical anger scares me."
This story follows the life of the perfect housewife and mother. But can perfect be taken too far? And what vulnerable situations can oneself find themselves in, when perfect is what everyone expects you to be? Secrets don't stay secrets for long and life drastically changes when an exchange student comes to live with the family...but for how long?
This story was fantastic! I was so gripped from the beginning. I especially enjoyed the uniqueness of the storyline. I'm someone who easily gets bored when lots of thrillers begin to follow the same algorithm, so it was nice to read something fresh and new.
As a fellow sufferer of general and social anxiety, there were so many fantastic quotes in this book.
This paragraph particularly resonated with me a lot. The sheer intensity of anxiety, especially in social situations, is utterly exhausting. I thought I'd share this little bit: "It’s bothersome to me that my brain requires this much emotional extinguishing to the fires I set in there. I’m the arson and the firefighter when it comes to the ebbs and flows of anxiety. Some days I can let that controlled burn do its job and other days, I die in the smoke." I thought this feeling was brilliantly executed in the story!
Another quote that I felt was really poignant, especially in my area of work, highlighted the utter ridiculousness that boys/men can't feel emotions. The quote was: "...I refuse to give into that macho patriarchy crap that says my son can't feel his feelings. That's half of what's wrong with the world today." It hurts my heart that, even in today's world, young boys still follow such an outdated notion that "boys don't cry".
Wow though, I could honestly quote the whole book, if I could. A really great read!
This book is released on the 13th March, or you can grab it straight away for free on Kindle Unlimited!

Rating: 4.5/5 stars.

An excellent read for any and all readers! Author comes at you with both barrels and knocks you out of your shoes! Great job fleshing out all the characters. I give this book FIVE stars! Definitely recommend!

We meet Jo and Everett, and their two children, Megan (12) and Aston. Jo is a helicopter mum who does everything anf anything to keep her children safe while she personally runs from the truth. Jos ways have proven to be overbearing as her and Megan's relationship is strained. Everett is seen as fun dad as he is more chilled and gives more freedom to the kids. It becomes clear, Everett overcompensates for working away from home and working long hours late into the night Jo is seen to do the main parenting.
An answer for Jo and Megan's relationship comes along in the form of an exchanged student, Eden, from England.
Jo believes an teen girl will be a friend and a model for megan, which in turn help their strained relationship. When Eden arrives, all seems well, Eden is polite and lovely, Megan has gelled well with her and does look up to her.
Not long after eden settles, the bumps begin to happen. Jo leans on Everett regarding this bump but he laughs them off and insists on a dinner date just the two off them.
During dinner, they received a phonecall from megan, who is upset as Eden has went missing!
Everett gets arrested, Jos parenting being questioned, is everything as it seems or who's hiding the biggest lie!

Highly recommend!
Thank you net galley and bookuture for this opportunity and incredible book!

First, thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for letting me read this early in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 Rounded to 5.
Jo our main point of view and her family Everett (spouse), Megan, and Asher (kids) welcome Eden a foreign exchange student, to stay with them for a few weeks. Jo is hoping that having an older teen in the house can help start to heal her and Megan's relationship which has gotten so bad over time. As the weeks go on, her already damaged marriage gets even more rocky.
This book was a little slow in the beginning, which I know it needed, to set the scene to play out when it was time for the twists and turns to start appearing. As soon as the first twist hit, I was completely hooked and nothing could tear me away from the book. I thoroughly enjoyed the way Danielle Stewart let this book play out. I caught on to a little of it but not until it was basically the next sentence or paragraph.
She definitely has a new fan in me. I can't wait to read anything else she has.

I really enjoyed Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart. In the beginning, as Jo receives these ominous letters, I lean toward that as the main storyline/plot. I was curious to see what kind of secret she was keeping from her family and to be honest, I leaned toward something crazy or outrageous. When Everett is described in the book, I just started to feel like there was something off about him before he arrived home. Not necessarily a murderer or anything like that, but the lifestyle and the way Jo talks about him raise a red flag. As the story progresses, I think as parents, we can all tell that she has the best of intentions for her children, even if it may seem overbearing. I was not expecting the ending AT ALL, but I think that is what I enjoyed most about this book. Even with the traumatic events, there is some hope for healing.
I would recommend this book to my friends who enjoy a "who do it" story with some twist. I want to thank NetGalley, Danielle Stewart, and the publisher for the eARC!

I took me a bit to get into this book, but glad I hung in there. Enjoyed the twists the book offered!

NetGalley ARC review!
Though the first half of this book was very slow, I am glad I finished it.
The story is told in Jo’s POV (the mother of the Hargrove family) and starts with some suspicious threatening mail Jo receives to her house on the regular. We then we dive into the daily routine of Jo raising her rebellious pre-teen, Megan, and her younger boy, Ashton, who struggles with various severe food allergies. Her husband, Everett, travels regularly for work.
The family welcomes a 17-year-old foreign exchange student, Eden, for a 6-week program living under their roof. Upon Eden’s arrival, the dynamics of the family shifts—Megan quickly befriends Eden and is easily influenced by her choices of fashion, media, and lack of rule-following.
Things turn weirder when Everett returns home from his work trip, and Eden’s behavior becomes concerning, but her time with the family ends in only 2 weeks, so they push through the turmoil. That is of course until Eden goes missing one day, and everything changes.
The first half of this book paints the picture of what the daily life of the family is like and how Eden’s arrival changed the dynamics and this part felt a little longer than necessary.
But after the turning point, stakes are high as loyalty, honesty, and personal history are questioned between Jo and Everett. They now have to explain Eden’s disappearance to her mother, Ivy, who has shown up looking for her daughter, and who does not trust anyone in the family.
The story and had some great twists and turns, the ending was a very sweet story about family faults, found family, and unconditional love for a child, but I thought the tie-in to the threatening letters from the beginning was lacking.
Overall, solid 3-star contemporary thriller/mystery.
