"Gripping and unputdownable" is right! This book had its hook in me from start to finish. I read it all in one sitting because I simply couldn't put it down!
Jo is an uber-anxious (relatable!) super mom of a difficult tweenager and a son with severe allergies. She takes on the additional challenge of Eden, a foreign exchange student from England. Living with Eden goes from seemingly stellar to quickly questionable. Then Jo's husband, a wealthy tech exec, starts behaving suspiciously as well. When the cops show up at Jo's house, all bets are off!
If you love a good domestic thriller with multiple twists and turns, Three Little Lies does not disappoint!
I knew this was going to be a killer thriller from the first page, and I wasn't wrong! I really loved this novel, it's fast paced but with really well rounded characters. As a mother I really felt for Jo, triyng to hold it all together. I didn't want this to end, it's that good!
Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart is a suspense-filled, psychological thriller that grips you from the very first page and doesn’t let go until the final twist. The book starts with a seemingly small lie, but as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the web of deception has far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.
Jo, the protagonist, is a mother trying to balance her family’s needs while dealing with her own anxieties. Her seemingly perfect life begins to unravel when she and her husband, Everett, invite a foreign exchange student, Eden, into their home. Eden, with her mysterious past, seems to bring chaos and secrets with her, setting the stage for a series of lies that will shake Jo’s world to its core. Each lie intensifies the drama, leading to a shocking conclusion that I certainly didn’t see coming!
What makes this book so captivating is how relatable the characters are. Jo’s internal struggle with parenting, anxiety, and her relationships with her children pulls you in. You feel her fear, her love, and her desperation as she tries to hold everything together. The interactions between Jo, her rebellious daughter Megan, and Eden are full of tension and emotion, making it hard not to be drawn into their lives.
The plot is fast-paced, and just when you think you know where it’s going, a new twist comes along to turn everything upside down. The mystery surrounding Eden’s true intentions keeps you guessing, and the lies that stack up make the stakes higher with each chapter. The final twist was one that I never saw coming, and it left me stunned.
This book is perfect for fans of domestic thrillers, family dramas, and twisty mysteries. It's a rollercoaster ride of emotions, and if you’re looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Three Little Lies is definitely one to pick up. I couldn't put it down until I finished it, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good, unpredictable thriller with complex characters and plenty of drama.

Get ready for a whirlwind of scandal, family drama, lies, and shocking twists in this book! Just when I thought I had it all figured out, the ending completely flipped and took me completely by surprise in a good way The characters were so relatable that I was literally shouting at my e-reader, questioning their choices, LOL. I highly recommend this book… What a fantastic way to kick off my reading in 2025!
Thank you @Netgalley and @Bookouture for allowing me to review this ARC.
This book had all the best features in a thriller: family drama, lies, and scandals and it kept the twists coming. The beginning was a bit of a slow burn and led me to think I would have it figured out, but I definitely did not. I must admit I didn’t really care for Jo, the helicopter, anxiety ridden mother at the beginning of the book, but as the story progressed and twists kept coming she was redeemed a bit in my eyes.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC in exchange for my honest review
With many thanks to Netgalley for this free arc and I am leaving this unbiased review voluntarily
When I read the blurb I did think this would be just your standard psychological thriller that I would probably work out, however I didn’t see any of it coming. What a tangled web Danielle Stewart has weaved in this cracking story that I just could not stop reading. I really didn’t like Jo at the beginning of the book, but the way the author misguides you with her characters is very good. Twists, turns and a frantic pace in the latter stages make this a must read for fans of this genre. A bit too neat of an ending for me but otherwise a very good one sit read. 4.5⭐️
Three Little Lies is a well-written book with a bunch of twists and turns. I found the helicopter parenting a little much, but overall a solid read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book.
The first lie got him in trouble.
Our romantic date night was meant to fix us. But when my husband grabs my hand and says he needs to tell me something, I can tell from the look in his eyes that our marriage is in deep trouble.
The second lie ruined our marriage.
We’ve been here before. I wonder who she is. Is she younger than me? For a moment I wonder if I’ll forgive him. But I always do. It’s the only way to keep our family together.
But before I can say anything, my daughter calls, terrified. “Mom, I need you to come home. Please!”
The third lie could get someone killed.
Flashing police cars light up the nightmare that’s unfolding in my beautiful home. Blood is found in our garage and in an instant, I know what my husband has done.
I hold my children close as our perfect life shatters before my eyes. But as he is dragged away from us in handcuffs, something snaps inside of me. I’ve stopped at nothing to get the life we have. And even if my husband is a killer, I will do whatever it takes to keep my family together.
I found the original blurb about the book a little misleading. However I did like the story. Very suspenseful, left me questioning everything as the book proceeded.

This is the first book I've read of Danielle Stewart's. Whilst I loved the storyline I feel like it was a bit drawn out. Absolutely loved the ending though!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing this book, with my honest review below.
Three Little Lies actually focused on what felt like three whop dinger lies and liars, and I was thrilled to get into the scandalous going ons.
First though, unless the blurb changes it leads one to believe this to be a tale of a husband gone wrong in his own lies way too many times and a wife who forgives him at all costs. This is not the spirit of this story. Instead, Jo is a wife who, yes, isn’t clear or firm in her expectations of her husband in terms of his support and time spent with the family, but I would not call Everett, said husband, a long time philanderer or liar at the jump. I had more of an issue with Jo to be quite honest as she starts out the worst kind of helicopter mother and I could understand why her teen was over it and rebelling. But as comes to pass Jo’s life is especially disrupted when a student staying in her household, Eden, goes missing and her husband is arrested. This is where all the lying starts to emerge.
I loved the pick up towards the back end of the book that’s a true whodunnit and thriller, and redeemed Jo for me. The majority of this story, though, is focused on helicopter parenting and the general feels of a teenager. If you don’t mind that you’ll have a solid thriller to dive into that takes you by surprise with its twists.
DO NOT miss reading this book! I was on the edge of my seat from the very first pages. Jo decides to host a foreign exchange student Eden and from the moments she enters their home so many twists start. Who really is Eden? Why is she missing? Who took her and why? The more you get into this book the more you are not going to stop reading. The twist at the end was excellent. This is one of those books the minute you think you got this figured out believe me you don't! Excellent read but reader beware you will be up all night reading !
Wow what a ride that was. Three Little Lies by D. Stewart, published by Bookouture is a fast paced, complex, complicated thriller that had me in suspense till the last chapter. Literally unputdownable, excellent written and the story, phew...

WOW!! This one had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!! Going by the title i immediately wanted to figure out what the 3 little lies were….. I had sooo many theories going on in my head but NEVER imagined the final ending!! So so good and unpredictable!!!
From the beginning I put myself in Jo’s shoes, I’ve been there. I’ve been the mom who wanted to see the best in everyone that I overlooked all the red flags! As the story played out my thoughts on Jo began to turn towards agitation from all the “control” she needed to have on her children’s life. My heart went out to Megan. All she wanted was to fit in and have a mom who not only allowed it but wanted to see her grow. Sure she rebelled a few times but she is a tween … that’s what they do.
I had my eyes on Eden from the moment she landed in her new “home”. She was the trouble maker, up to no good, the one who was coming in to create chaos door Jo and her family. Deep down all she craved was love and acceptance. I fell in love with Eden by the end of the story!!
As for Everett and Ivy, they deserve each other!!!
I truly enjoyed this one and couldn’t put the book down!! Can’t wait to read more from Danielle Stewart!!! She is definitely going on my list of new favorite authors!!!
This is a must read, thank you NetGalley for the ARC! This book was full of drama, and such a roller coaster ride and I loved every second of it. This book grabbed me from the beginning, and I couldn't put it down. You have an overprotective mother with anxiety, a child with food allergies, another feeling smothered by her mom and a strained marriage. Throw in an exchange student and her drama and you have all the components for a great read! I would definitely recommend this book and am so glad I had the opportunity to read an advanced copy!
This is one little rollercoaster I did not see coming.
When started, I thought I had this book figured out, I've read a million psychological thrillers and initially it fits the mold.
But then, no.. it really takes you on a ride. I did not see any of it coming and therefore could not put it down. Excellent twists!
One date night between a couple sets the stage. By the end of that evening, NOTHING is the same.
Infidelity, lies, murder... this one has it all!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read and review prior to publication in March 2025.
This book is by far one of the best books I have read this year! If I could give this book over 5 stars I would! I read this book in less than a day I could not put it down! I love Jo’s character. This book had some twist that I did not see coming. I have never had the opportunity to read a book by this author but I am going to be reading more of her books in the future!
I just finished another great thriller! Three Little Lies by Danielle Stewart was gripping and kept me turning pages well past lights out!
