This was a great debut novel, it had that element that I was hoping for from the description. It had that thriller element that I was looking for and was glad worked overall in this universe. Jeremy D. Baker has a strong writing style and was glad I got to read this.

I am forever and eternally grateful I got to read this book months before its release because it is quite good. Granted, it is not the most breathtaking work I have read, but it keeps you captivated and interested as a veteran decides to save their Afghan interpreter, alongside his ex-wife and daughter when the mission goes sideways. This in itself opens up an exciting plotline.

There is not much else to say about this book. Its plot speaks for itself and brings a sense of curiousness about how it will be resolved. That is the one thing that got me going. The writing and characters did not invoke much interest in me, as it was tough to understand what the author tried to convey or explain. Overall, it is a good book, and I am extremely excited about its release.

A good story that follows Dexter Grant as he tries to put his life back together. Lots of action and Dexter was relatable.

No one gets hurt is a fine plan. A worthy goal. But when it comes down to the moment, there’s always plenty of hurt to go around! Good book! This book had high suspense, intriguing, murder, action packed moments, mystery, a good who done it and a few crazy twists and turns! The story was interesting, it wasn't one of my top favorite but still worth reading! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
