As a fan of Katee's Neon Gods series, I was curious what her contemporary romances were like. I can imagine that this would be a hit for others, but it was just okay for me. However, I believe that speaks more to my tastes than the quality of the book. I'm newer to the romance genre and I am finding it harder to suspend my disbelief when stories are set in the modern era. I'd still recommend this to patrons wanting a quick spicy modern romance.

As always, I appreciate Katee's inclusion of plus size FMCs and both sides of the romance reflecting upon their flaws.

Two stories in one! This was so much fun to read and I loved it! This is book 2 in the series and you should definitely check it out

This collection of 2 short stories were just what I hoped for from Katee Robert: short, spicy as all get out (as we expect from Katee), fun and just an all around good time! I enjoyed the *lessons* with Lucy and Gideon as this is one of my fav tropes!

Make Me Want ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really liked the relationship between Gideon and Lucy. I loved that Lucy knew exactly what she wanted and didn’t apologize for it. Gideon’s ability to show his vulnerability and honesty to Lucy was very attractive.
The third act conflict was a bit predictable but resolved quickly. Readers don’t have to wait long for the spice to hit and in true Katee Robert fashion it definitely delivers on heat.

Make Me Crave ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a steamy read with plenty of chemistry between the leads—Katee Robert definitely knows how to bring the heat! The tension keeps things exciting, and the fast pace makes it easy to devour in one sitting. I did wish there was a little more time to dig into the characters and their relationship.

The narration was good and I thought Alexa Elmy and Samantha Cook did well with both FMC POVs. Though I think the MMC POVs could have benefitted from a male narrator.

Overall, Forbidden Games definitely brings the spice and intrigue. If you’re in the mood for two quick, sizzling romances, this compilation duet delivers!

There was truly nothing special about this audiobook. For one, the one narrator does NOT work in a book full of sex scenes and spicy dialogue. And the scenes were definitely sexy. I do feel like the ending for each book happened way too fast- like we hit our “drama” and in one more chapter it’s HEA just like that .

This omnibus contains book one and two of the Make Me series, Make Me Want and Make Me Crave. The audio of this omnibus was recorded by two different narrators, both doing a wonderful job at portraying Katee Roberts stories.
Make Me Want is a delicious little book that makes you want more and more. Robert does a great job with the characters and the storyline. I didn't want this one to end. The spice level was perfect, the characters likeable, and the plot was relatable.
Make Me Crave was different in storyline and characters but equally as easy and quickly to read.
Both books can be read as standalones, but packaging it up in this duet was perfect for my state of mind.
Will be buying to put next to my other Robert's books on my shelves.

Forbidden Games by Katee Roberts features two novellas from her “Make Me” series. I enjoyed the characters but I do feel like due to the fact that they were novellas the timelines seemed very rushed but romance is a genre that I am dipping my toe in. I enjoyed the spicy scenes and felt like those were realistic and believable. Since I am reviewing the audiobook , I will say that the narration was a joy. Audio quality was also really clear and well done

I really enjoyed the first book of this little duet. Lucy and Gideon just had the best connection imo and I really enjoyed everything about their encounters. The spice spiced perfectly and I loved the ending!

Make Me Crave didn’t really click as well as I would have liked. The whole vacation fling thing just moved way too fast and had way less depth than I needed. Yes, I know flings are basically depthless because it’s a fling but it just fell so flat for me. The ending was cute though!

This includes Make Me Want & Make Me Crave. Both are exceptional short steamy contemporary romances. Interconnected stand alones follow up with Illicit Temptations. Katee is an auto buy/read author for me. I’ve not read anything by her I haven’t liked yet.

KR did not mess around with Forbidden Games. This book is like a rollercoaster of emotions, with twists and turns that'll leave you breathless. I mean, the s€x scenes are scorching, but it's not just about the amazing heat - the characters are complex and real, and their stories had me hooked.
Lucy and Gideon's story in Make Me Want is a slow burn that explodes beautifully. Their dynamic is all kinds of messed up, but in the best possible way. And Allie and Roman in Make Me Crave? Mostly opposites attract, and their chemistry is off the charts. The tropical setting is just icing on the cake. Seriously, these two are meltingly hot.
If you're looking for a book that's equal parts steamy and heartfelt, Forbidden Games is your jam.
So glad I was given an A R C and looking forward to more from this series.

This is a dual audio including Make Me Want and Make Me Crave. They’re both very different stories. One is a story of a woman who wants to make partner at her law firm and sees getting married as one more thing she must do so she enlists a friend to help her find one. And give her lessons on intimacy. I bet you can see where this is going...

The other is a vacation romance. Unknown identities become known identities and reveal enemies. Will what happens on the island stay on the island? Probably not.

I enjoyed both stories, the first more than the second but I found it hotter...

Katee as out done herself yet an again I was able to read this in one setting. I do feel like there was a lot of smut. I love smut but I feel like this was a little much. I do love the connection that Gideon and Lucy have.

I will not be posting this review as I do not publically post negative reviews. This book really fell flat for me, I really have loved all the other Katee Robert books so I am sad to not love this one. The characters were really hard to connect to and the story just didn't flow, I kept waiting for more.

The Make Me series is a fast paced, sizzling series that this all the right tropes. The two stories center around workplace romance and vacation romance with well paced and descriptive spice. For fans of these tropes, but also great dialogue, this series is for you. I read this in two days and really enjoyed the tension and heat. Katee Robert is an autobuy author for me as she always writes banter, "when will they" , and spice in the most satisfying way possible. Highly recommend!

I listened to the audio version of this book, and it was well done!! The narrator was amazing. I devoured this book! It is classic Katee Robert, and I loved every minute of it. The character depth and level of spice was epic. I couldn't put it down. She has a way with word and her descriptive nature makes for an entertaining read. I was so happy to get this book because I am a fan of Robert's work. I can't wait to read more. I highly recommend this to the romance readers. Just warning the spice is hot!

Unfortunately I had to DNF this audiobook around 10%. The narrator's voice irritated me to the point that it was just unbearable. I'm very particular about my audiobooks, and this did not meet my standards by a long shot. Pacing was inconsistent, the book content wasn't even enjoyable, and the narrator was mediocre at best. In an audiobook, I prefer each character to get their own narration rather than the female just deepening her voice and "imitating" the mmc. An audiobook should feel like a show without the visual cues, and I shouldn't be listening to one person imitating all of the characters. There must be distinction for it to even be a decent audiobook. For these reasons, I did not enjoy this audiobook and will not be recommending either the audiobook OR physical copy to my customers.

Make me Want:
Lucy is recovering from divorce with her ex. She is working to regain self confidence, but is nervous to throw herself in the dating game. She gets with a friend to help her find a new boyfriend, and to give her other lessons as well…. In the bedroom.

Gideon is hesitant, but agrees and is surprised by their chemistry. It reminds him of when they first met and he wanted her, but his friend got her first. This is the first in a series, and I would definitely read more.

In this quick romance, it was right to the point. Plot was okay, characters were okay, spicy scenes were excellent ! Narration was great!

It must be being republished in audio. Thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Audio for the ALC in exchange for an honest review. Release on 1/14/25.

Make me Crave:
A one night stand with a "stranger" turns into much more as Allie realize it someone she was dealing with at work with her fitness company as an investor. They are on opposite ends of the business deal, but decide to put that aside on vacation and try to enjoy themselves. How will their relationship impact what direction the business deal will go when vacation is over?

What a great title! I always enjoy a two-for-one and this one didn't disappoint. I loved the stories and characters and the fact the stories had a satisfactory conclusion. It was plenty spicy and I can't wait to enjoy more!
