So I have been watching all things star wars since I can remember, but this was the first book I read. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not. It turned out to be so good. I loved learning more about tarkin and how he got where he was. The time before Luke and just all the politics. I read part and listened to the audio book and that made the experso much more immersive. I am definitely looking forward to reading more about the universe.

An interesting backstory for an important secondary character in the Star Wars universe. Tarkin was there from the very first film - the original Star Wars (before it was tagged with The New Hope).

Good read -really enjoyed.

This is set in the Darth Vader era and is a good backstory that was an easy and entertaining read.
