The wonderful conclusion to a cozy fantasy duology! This one picks up right where we left off at the end of book 1 and we are thrown right into the action! The world building and atmospheric writing was incredible! The way Analeigh described the underwater world truly made me feel like I was there! The romance was also ramped up in this one and I couldn’t decide who I wanted Lore to end up with! This conclusion came full circle and the supporting characters were excellent! This book is perfect if you are looking for a cozy read with well rounded characters and a love triangle.

oh my gosh. this series!!!!! I cannot breathe. it is amazing from start to finish!!! I am in love with duologies, and this duo reinforced my love. and the mennnnnn in this book were .. *drooool*. literally everything.
this book made me laugh out loud, had me gasping, and yearninggggg. 10/10.

I was not ready to put this book down. The author did such a great job wrapping things up while continuing to add new surprises and creatures in the mix. I love that the spicy scenes didn’t overtake the story it was a perfect balance and you have certain male character redemption that may have you switching teams. Great job

Lord of the wilds was one of my favorite books I read last year. I really liked how the romance developed in this book. And the story was very fun to read.

This is just as beautiful as the first book, what a perfect duet! Lore of the Tides was such a great conclusion, it makes me sad it's done!

This book makes me want to cry, it's so perfect. Lore of The Wilds felt like a dream but Lore of The Tides was a concluding love letter to the fantasy genre that quite often leaves black readers like myself out. The worldbuilding only got better and I gobbled up every word. I cannot stress how much this duology is such a gift.

I fell in love with LORE OF THE WILDS, so it's only fitting that it continues to flourish with the beauty that is LORE OF THE TIDES. I could not put this down. A story woven together with everything I look for in a fantasy, from memorable characters to exciting world building and relatable moments. This duology is perfect for fans of cozy fantasy and passionate romance!

This one picks up immediately after book 1 ended, with Lore reeling from Asher's betrayal. For some reason I had a little bit of a harder time getting into this one. I found myself more attached to Lore in this book than I was initially and felt like she had some solid growth. The world-building and imagery were solid and pretty immersive, but I wasn't quite as invested overall, and the pacing was a bit slow. The banter was pretty fun!

This picks up right where the last book left off, right after Asher’s big reveal. I so wanted to like this as I quite liked the first one but this book difficult for me to get into, it didn’t grab me as much as the first book did. I had to force myself to pick it up so it was quite a disappointment for me. I think the pacing was a bit off, it was incredibly slow at times, and didn’t really seem to have a sense of urgency or adventure overall. I also found that some parts had an overabundance of descriptive language while other parts seemed to wrap up too quickly.

Lore of the Tides by Analeigh Sbrana is such a fun read! The story’s full of magic, mystery, and adventure, and the way the ocean’s secrets come to life is well-depicted. It takes its time building up, but once you get into it, it’s hard to put down—perfect if you’re into unique magical worlds and strong, relatable characters! This was the perfect conclusion to a captivating story.

Lore of the tides is the second book in a duology and the much anticipated second book in the Lore of the Wilds series. Lore starts the story betrayed and kidnapped. She has to find The second grimoire and it takes her on many adventures.
The adventures the characters go on are very well developed and enjoyable to read. As I was reading this story, I found that I wished it was written as a YA story. I found the characters felt very young and the spice scenes felt unnecessary and would have been better suited to that demographic. The love triangle did not feel finished or well developed in this story. I enjoyed a lot of this story but it definitely could have used some editing.

The most perfect ending to the duology. I’m so sad that it had to end but at some point good things must always come to an end. The world building, the romance, the adventure… everything was just PERFECT. I love this series so much!!!
This duology gets a 10/10 stars for me:) I would rate it a million stars if I could. Will forever and always recommend this and Lore of the Wilds
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this incredible ARC, I thoroughly enjoyed every page

this was a wonderfully done conclusion to this series, it had that fantasy element that I was looking for and was engaged with what was happening. It continued the story perfectly and the characters felt like they were supposed to in this world. I was glad this continued and was invested in what Analeigh Sbrana wrote.

The duology that began with Lore of the Wilds gets its beautiful wrap-up here, after that betrayal and everything that Lore learned in the first book.
Speaking of Lore - I love her. She is strong, funny, brave, I absolutely adored her character arc and the way she coped with every revelation and obstacle in her path. I also love the more mundane details of her life because Lore is more than an avatar, she is fully crafted and we hear about her period and her hair and all the things people with female reproductive systems and unruly hair deal with, even while saving the world.
Analeigh Sbrana has become another auto-buy author for me, this duology was so good, I can't wait to see what she writes next!

While I really liked Lore of the Wilds, I struggled to read this book. The story itself was great and I thought it was intriguing. It was full of adventure and unique places and romance. But the writing felt juvenile and did a disservice to the story itself. Very disjointed at times, felt a bit like someone was driving a car recklessly with no care for the passenger in the car and whether or not they could handle how jarring it felt.
Also, Lore was incredibly difficult to like especially for the first 100 pages, and it is solely tied to her constant emotional outbursts. She went from petulant to dramatic to wrathful to sad to lust filled to wildly empathetic to casually flirting as if she wasn’t in the middle of a crisis. AND all of them could happen within 2 pages, which caused me a lot of whiplash. I kind of stopped caring about her because of it. I know bad things happened to her, and most of the emotions were warranted, but as the reader, that just wasn’t fun to deal with.
It got better as the book progressed, but doesn’t mean it wasn’t easy to get through initially. I forced myself to write this down so when the book got more exciting, I wouldn’t forget how she made me feel. Because truthfully, when she normalized out, I did forget.

This was a decent book. I'm glad this was a duology because I don't think it could have gone on for more books. A lot happened but some scenes felt more like filler than necessary plot points (this was true for a few of the spicy scenes). The period scene felt unnecessary as well. I thought it was being brought up as a foreshadowing of a future pregnancy when Lore would miss a period but when that didn't happen it felt like it served no purpose other than reminding us that Lore was a human with a menstrual cycle. Finn fell flat for me in this book. I liked him in book 1, but here he felt like a one dimensional side character rather than a main love interest. There were few conversations other than ones that led to spicy scenes. Lore had deeper conversations with Syrelle than she did with Finn, which felt weird considering how things end up. I was happy with the ending, but wanted a little more of a fight with the king.
All that aside, the banter between characters was fun to read. I also liked the way the locations and characters were described. It was descriptive enough that I felt like I could visualize myself being there with them.

Well, I think that there's a new trope in town for love triangles gone wrong and Lore of the Tides has it in spades. I spent so much of the book wanting to throat punch one of the leads that I could barely enjoy the other two members of the love triangle getting closer.
For some reasons, I also thought this would be a trilogy instead of a duology, so because of that expectation, I thought it ended too soon -- I felt like I wanted to keep following the characters to their next adventure!
However, at the end, I was satisfied with most of the resolution: I still wanted to throat punch one of the characters, so I guess you can't win them all.

Book Review: A Captivating Conclusion to Lore of the Wilds
The final installment of Lore of the Wilds is both captivating and mysterious as Lore journeys across the oceans in search of the second grimoire. Along the way, she faces trials that test her strength, heart, and resolve. Lore's quest to obtain the grimoire and free her people is gripping, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way.
Her growth—both in power and in learning to trust again—was beautifully portrayed. While I loved the story overall, I did feel the pacing was uneven, with a slow start that gave way to a rushed ending. Despite this, the book delivered an exciting and emotional read, leaving me wishing for a third installment to explore more of Lore’s world.

A read filled with sirens, fae, an evil king, and 1 human with magic who dares to seek a home, for her people!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to read

I absolutely loved this conclusion to the Lore of the Wilds duology. It was heartfelt, and gritty, but also beautiful and hopeful. We're still following Lore and she is as determined as ever to save her people. The author did such an amazing job thrusting us into the world and feeling what Lore is feeling. This story was so heartbreaking, and all the choices she has to make - I felt anxiety for Lore just having to make all these decisions and all these family/friends who are counting on her. This conclusion was just what was needed after the crazy cliffhanger we were left with after the first book. I think if you like the Shepherd King duology, that you'll love this duology!
