Another terrific installment in this absolutely fun, precious series. I adore Flavia and her precocious nature. The writing is top notch. These books never disappoint
Really enjoyed this seventh book featuring young Flavia. There's a lot of humor and mystery and I always enjoy getting to spend some time with the characters. Fun book.
How can I have missed this Flavia book. I am so glad to finally find out what happened to her while she was banished to Canada. She doesn't disappoint,
I have read all of the books in the Flavia deLuce series. Along with the chracters cteated by Louise Penny and Elly Griffiths, I look forward to each new book in this series. Flavia is a young chemistry genius, a solid thinker, intelligent and witty. Her observations can be a bit biting but always spot on.
As Chimney Sweepers Come to Dust is the 7th book in the Flavia de Luce series. In the previous book, Flavia has learned some interesting things from her aunt about her dead mother and Flavia is about to follow in her mother's footsteps. She has been sent away from her family to a boarding school in Canada. Not long after she arrives, a skeleton tumbles out of the chimney in her bedroom, and she has another mystery to tackle.
Flavia is one of my favorite characters, and this series is also a favorite. It is so difficult for me to wait for each installment. I enjoy Alan Bradley's easy, conversational style. The mysteries are always very solid with several twists and turns. There is quite a bit of humor, and Bradley does an excellent job of capturing the voice of young Flavia. While I missed the usual cast of characters from Buckshaw and Bishop's Lacey, there were many intriguing students and teachers at Flavia's new school.
I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
