This book gave different vibes than all my other non-fiction reads. While it still held on to the general concepts that most nonfiction books do, it touched on trauma and explained how family trauma can occur. It also gave workouts for me to try at home and therapy exercises that I could journal about. I quite enjoyed this one, even if it took me a while to finish it. The author did a good job explaining some concepts and that stood out to me.
Thank you to the publisher and author for sending me this book.

The YOU You Never Knew : Rewire Your Body and Mind to Go from Trauma and Stress to Health and Happiness. This is a biographical self help book based around the authors own experiences. It is an interesting view point, and will be very relatable to some peoples' experiences. However, I don't think it will help everyone recovering from trauma. It is a book to try, and see if it resonates with you. A brave book from an author who was willing to share their own experiences and how they recovered.
