Chock block full of riveting twists and turns. The author captures the readers attention so it is a quick read. I loved slowly unraveling the characters secrets and the suspense building was on high alert.

Amelia is a new wife and mother, living a picture-perfect life with her husband, Timothy, in their stunning new home on Cutters Island. However, when her wealthy in-laws, the Sterlings, insist she participate in a magazine photoshoot and family interview, Amelia reluctantly agrees—only for her carefully hidden past to find her. It soon becomes clear that Amelia may not be as flawless as she appears.

This story had me hooked from the very first page. As Amelia’s past started to close in on her, I found myself getting anxious right along with her! I read quite a lot of thrillers, so the twists didn’t blow me away—but that didn’t stop me from flipping the pages desperate to find out what would happen next!

If you’re looking for an edge of your seat, heart-pumping, domestic thriller— I highly recommend Anya Mora’s “Good Bad Mother”. What a ride!

Special thanks to Bookouture for providing me with a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book finds us with a new mother struggling with a new baby who just won’t sleep. As she tries her best to be a good mother and husband with barely any support from her husband she is also keeping the truth about her past a secret from everyone and a family photo shoot turn her world upside down. As she starts to receive anonymous letters someone knows who she really is and what she has done and life will never be the same and that’s not even thinking about the fact her husbands ex girlfriend is back on the scene. I really felt for this woman regardless of her past we all need a second chance but maybe rushing into marrying a man you don’t really know was a bad idea. A great story although I really couldn’t warm to her husband or his family.

A quick read about a woman who is trying to start a new life with her husband and newborn although she is paranoid that her childhood secret will be revealed.

There was a lot of repetitive dialogue and most of the character were horrible people. I would recommend this novel a novice thriller reader.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of Good Bad Mother. This started very slow but stick with it, it was a really good story. I felt for the main character, she had it tough. Her family was not nice, and neither was her husband’s family. I loved the ending, it wrapped up nicely.

Many thanks to netgalley, the author and bookouture for approving my request to read this book.

Good Bad Mother centres around Amelia who seemingly has it all, a beautiful home, a loving husband and a gorgeous baby girl but how did she come to get this life and what did she leave behind?

I found myself intrigued from the first chapter and enjoyed this pacy, twisty psychological thriller that most definitely kept me turning the pages until the end.

I would recommend this book if you enjoy this particular genre.

Amelia has the perfect life, but anonymous letters threatening to expose her secret put everything at risk. This fast-paced thriller immediately pulls you into Amelia’s struggles to keep her world intact, complicated by unbearable in-laws, especially her mother-in-law. The story alternates perspectives, revealing hidden secrets and keeping the suspense alive. Anya Mora masterfully weaves twists that keep you guessing until the end. With well-developed characters and a gripping plot, I finished this compelling, easy-to-read book quickly.

I can’t have my picture taken.

Timothy can’t find out about my past.

Someone will see me, know what I did, where I am, and my perfect world will explode.

Amelia is in a panic because her past is unknown to her husband.

I have to leave and take the baby, but can I?

Then a letter arrives- what is in it?

Amelia doesn’t want to open it, but she does.

And…we are in suspense wanting to know what’s inside.

Tension, lies, and secrets abound in this twisty psychological thriller that you won't be able to put down.

Thank you to the publisher for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Amelia and her husband are recently married after having an unexpected baby. His family doesn't approve of her and seems to take digs at her whenever they can. His ex moves across the street and suddenly Celeste seems to be with Timothy all the time. Is he cheating on her? Meanwhile, Amelia is getting letters/threats from someone from her past. Could it be related to Celeste? is it her sister? (Side note...I love how dads that do nothing to help out can tell their wives that they are bad mothers....). Pretty good book. Happy ending.

Everybody has a past with little or not so little things you wish you could make disappear. Those small details are usually not so important even though you might feel ashamed about them It's the big things that can keep you from the future you have always dreamed of and that means you have to erase your old self and reinvent yourself.

When people like you, they won't ask any questions. They accept you the way you are and don't care about what you did nor did not do in the past. But when you are introduced into a a type of family that is in fact out of your league and they make you feel that way too, it all could come crashing down in a heartbeat.

Who is out to get you? Who is the one who wants to break Pandora's box wide open?

Once you open the book you feel there is a David versus Goliath vibe. I immediately felt like I wanted to protect Amelia against the big bad wolves. The problem was I did not realise home many of them she had to deal with.

One thing is for sure: when you hide something that is that big, it's bound to come out. But where will that leave you?

My favorite person, although he only had a small part in the book, but an obviously big one in Amelia's life, is Cal. He made his judgment on the present and not on anything else.

The author managed to keep me in the dark for a very, very long time and surprised me with the outcome and those are two things I love in a book.  5 stars

Thank you

Amelia has achieved the life she has always dreamed of, but now someone is sending her anonymous letters and has discovered her secret, threatening to ruin everything.
Fast paced, you are drawn into Amelia's life from the very beginning and her struggles to keep her life together. It doesn't help that her in-laws, especially her mother-in-law, are frankly unbearable.
The narrative alternates between chapters in which we learn about Amelia's hidden secrets from various points of view.
Anya Mora manages to keep you guessing throughout the book and that's enough to keep you hooked on compulsive reading until the end.

4/5 stars. A brilliant fast paced thriller, full of twists to keep you guessing.
From the first chapter I found myself hooked in this story. Straight away it's clear that Amelia has various secrets in her past but the author did a great job of leaving me guessing, I did not know how this was going to end. The length was just right with short and quick chapters - I really liked that we got a couple of different perspectives towards the end of the book.

First 5 star read of the year. This book captivated me right from the start. I was flipping through the pages fast because I was so invested with what was happening. Amelia.. is she who she says she is? What is she hiding. When I tell you I gasped towards the end of the book I gasped! Amazing! Can’t wait to dive into more of Anya’s books!!
