This book takes the reader through the history of the idea of the 'greatest of all time' across various topics. The first section focuses on Hall of Fame for Great Americans which I had never heard of - I found this really interesting. The rest of the book covers sports, cartoon characters, Henry Ford and many other things,

I did feel that I kind of lost the thread on what the book was trying to get across overall. Despite this, I found the book to be a quick, interesting read and would recommend for those looking to learn a sub-section of American history.
