I recently dove into "The Inspirational Story of Caitlin Clark," and wow, what an adventure! This book, designed for kids aged 6-10, is a fantastic way to introduce them to Caitlin's incredible journey in a way that's engaging and easy to follow.

After loving "The Story of Fannie Lou Hammer" from Callisto Publishing, I couldn't wait to pick this one up. Even though I grew up in India and was unfamiliar with Caitlin Clark, my kids and I were thrilled to discover her story together!

What really stood out to me was how relatable Caitlin's childhood is. It's such an inspiring reminder that even remarkable athletes have ordinary beginnings! The infographics at the end of each chapter are a delightful bonus, making the important points really pop and engage young readers.

In summary, this book is an absolute gem and would make a perfect addition to any library—personal or institutional! I highly recommend it for young readers looking for inspiration and excitement!

This is a great early childhood biography of Caitlin Clark for little girls or the sports enthusiast. This story is written to encourage young athletes to practice, accept setbacks to work harder, and enjoy when you reach your goals. This book is written simply enough for young children to read it themselves or to follow along with someone reading it to them. They will learn a lot of about Caitlin and how she worked hard to reach her goal of playing college ball and being drafted into the WNBA. She encourages children to make goals for themselves and work to achieve those goals. Caitlin is very popular right now and is always encouraging young children.

This is a great reference book for kids! The use of graphs and questions through out keep the reader engaged, plus there's a fun quiz at the end that almost stumped me a few times. It's fairly simple and most of the information can be found online but I think it's nice to have all the information in one, well structured book.

I love biographies directed at young people. When I was a kid, I used biographies to learn about history and society and geography. The story of Caitlin Clark is interesting because we get to learn about where she's from and what it's like, and the amazing journey she's been on so far. She's just getting started and she's already had such a big influence on sports.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I knew next to nothing about Clark going into this book other than that she's a phenomenal basketball player and showed up at the Super Bowl with Taylor Swift. I learned quite a bit, such as how talented she is/was in a variety of sports, loves to bake, and plays the piano (although she found it too calm for her driven personality). I also learned that other than teammates, she had few friends growing up. Most could not understand her driven passion to excel in basketball and that it took up most of her time and thoughts. Overall, I found it a satisfying read for young readers, particularly females interested in pursuing sports. Clark's success has inspired many, She majored in marketing while attending and playing for the University of Iowa, where she was also an academic standout, a major that has surely been helpful.

I could certainly go on and on but those are some of the highlights of a remarkable career, one still young. Words and phrases that might not be familiar are initially presented in bold print with definitions available in the glossary at the end. The thing that makes these books stand out for me, however, is the use of what they dubbed the Think Tank, presented as a sort of sidebar. It utilizes a fact/event from the topic's life, then asks readers how they'd respond. It is an excellent way to extend the reading of the book further, aiding readers in grasping concepts presented. I mean, what would you list as your five biggest goals in life, a question presented here? Clark made her list in third grade!

There's also a bibliography, letting those so inclined to further their knowledge on Clark (or whoever the topic of that particular book happens to be). And, oh, almost forgot, the final chapter is basically a multiple choice question list to help readers focus on the important facts and issues in the book. Bottom line, well put together. I would recommend it to both librarians and teachers, not to mention parents with athletically inclined daughters. Thanks #CallistoPublishing for giving me the gift of being able to read this early. I admire those who give more than skills to their sport and boost others. That's Caitlin Clark in a nutshell.

This is a super cute book for younger readers. I particularly enjoyed that it didn’t shy away from CC’s emotion-based issues in college, along with the struggles women’s basketball has historically had. At the same time, it put her story into words that are appropriate for their age.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free ARC. This review contains my honest, unbiased opinion.

This was a cute book for young kids! I enjoyed the story and the thought provoking questions throughout, however, the layout was a little wonky.

I really could have used this book this month as my fourth and fifth graders worked on researching and creating a poster about a woman they admire. Several students chose Caitlin but she wasn't in the internet encyclopedias we use and I didn't have any books to offer them.

I really like the structure of this biography. The chapters make it easy to find any information but the narrative style makes it an interesting read. The images are engaging but words dominate the pages. There are lots of timelines and some other text features.

I plan on adding this to my elementary school library and would like to get some of the others in the series, as I can see how they will attract the older students to reading biographies moving forward.

Thank you to Net Galley, Callisto Publishing, and Callisto Kids for the DRC. All opinions are my own.
