I enjoyed this historical romance. It was fun and entertaining. It tells the story of Rowena, a Scottish girl who has loved Lachlan her entire life and always expected to marry him. When she is old enough, she goes to London to have a season and while there makes friends. In the past she has pretty much just followed Lachlan and her brothers around, so this is a whole new experience for her. When Lachlan doesn't respond to any of her letters, she realizes that he's not going to care for her the way she does him, so she gives up on him.

When Rowena returns home with suitors in tow, Lachlan suddenly becomes interested in her. This is after he sits her down and explains that he will never marry her. Once Lachlan's interest in Rowen is sparked, he tries to gain her favor. Amidst this, another suitor places Rowena in danger and Lachlan is determined to rescue her.

This one had good characters and an intriguing storyline.
