What a wild ride! As soon as I came across this book, I was so curious about his story. How does one go from pastor to drug runner? Reading the book transported me alongside John Bishop. The writing and storytelling are immaculate. It is so unbelievable- I am glad he gets to tell his story! 10/10 on memoirs.

Pretty engrossing read. There's not much post-prison - feels like the ends is tied up pretty fast and clean when the rest of the story has been messy. But I read it in a few days. I'm interested to see how this story continues.

What a story ! The life John Bishop has led lends itself to a compelling read… and he tells his story in an easy to read / easy to digest way.
I read this book in just over a day.
I’m not religious so his devotion to his beliefs isn’t a detractor if you aren’t a Believer, yet if you are a Believer I’m pretty sure you will also enjoy the book.
The cover, the title made me think the book was going to be a lighter, more carefree read than it was.
His book, his story is a bullet train of death defying experiences that make me wonder how he’s a live to share his story !

This book more than delivered on what I thought it might be. I inhaled it in one long night, more amazed by each chapter.

The author is a man who rose to amazing heights as a pastor and founder of Living Hope Church. And he also plummeted to depths that are unbelievable, running drugs, drinking heavily, etc. But he never lost his desire to help people.
