In Sara Ney's Biggest Player, we get laughs, romance, and the satisfaction of a smart woman demanding and receiving the respect and love that she deserves.
When 29 year old single mom Margot decides to try online dating she matches up with what she thinks is a catfish posing as an NFL player. She meets him in real life by accident and hilariously and finds out that it really is 25 year old NFL player, Dax. He's sexy, sarcastic, and has absolutely no interest in having kids. She's an elementary school teacher, her daughter is her life, and is tired of people (read: her parents) trying to set her up constantly and people pretending to be who they aren't.
However, they have instant sparks, even if they are them trying to one up each other with witty comebacks. Something sparks between them and they give an actual date a try. Miscommunication, confused feelings, and instant chemistry all make this a fun and quick book to read.
The author made likable characters, made me want more, and brought back favorites from a different book of hers. What's not to love?
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

Biggest Player was one of those books that, simply put, is a lot of fun. Sara Ney excels at creating entertaining meet-cutes and lovable characters. This book had both of those. From dating app to in person meet up, Margot and Dex had me cracking up. Margot was one of those great strong and loving female characters. She did not put up with people who didn't treat her well. Dex was...Well, an idiot - especially when it came to love and relationships. He fumbled a lot, but he was somehow more forgivable than others would be in the same situations. His actions could have made me hate this book, but he managed to come out on top. Margot and Dex's banter and chemistry was so much fun. Margot's daughter, Wyatt, added to the romance with her spin on things. Overall, this was a book that left me happy with a smile on my face.

Sadly this was probably my least favorite Sara Ney book. It just seemed rushed and chaotic and the storyline didn’t flow at all. I really wanted to like it because the premise was cute, but it just didn’t hit for me!

The super hot football player bumps heads with the grounded school teacher mom, and the fireworks take off. Fun characters, lots of obstacles, many chuckles, and just a good time for all. A standard trope done well and worth the read.
