A bit of a love triangle. Brendan is a sweetheart, trying to win back Alyssa’s love, but he messed up royally. Dalton, while he’s got everything going him, seems a tad sleezy for Alyssa. I wanted to like her but she seems too young and a bit immature to fully grasp the world. There weren’t any moments where I was invested in the couple, it’s obvious which one she chooses and the path wasn’t very exciting.

I no longer have access to this book and do not anticipate seeking it out to read it at this time. Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

2.5/5 - This is part of a great collection of novellas featuring weddings. I have read most of them and I genuinely love these authors.

This particular novella features a love triangle after Alyssa is left at the alter by Brendan and later begins a new relationship with Dalton. The love triangle really surprised me. I appreciate how things ended up, but I feel like it was more painful than it needed to be to get there.

Overall, the story was okay. There are a few little things that irked me, like the secrecy and dishonesty some of the characters exhibited, which was never resolved. I think this would have been a lot more fulfilling had it had been longer in length because more character and story development would have helped me understand why these characters kept making so many questionable decisions.

This is part of my NetGalley backlog which I am working on clearing. I received a digital copy of this novella from the publisher via NetGalley a while back.

This one wasn’t my cup of tea. Didn’t really like the characters, and the story was boring to me. Not my favorite of the series.

This was a good second chance at love novella. Brendan made a mistake and left Alyssa at the altar. Now he wants to win her back, but that won't be easy. I really liked Alyssa, but it took me quite awhile to warm up to Brendan, given his history. Their story was interesting and enjoyable.
