I highly recommend this to those who are expecting, wanting to have a child, or have recently had a child.
I am not one of the above, but as a woman and mother, I am very interested parenting, birth, pregnancy related topics and know many people who suffered from post-partum depression or complications.
This book talks about the wide range of experiences about the above. Well explained.

I feel like this book was written specifically for me, since I had my first child less than a month ago. It has been a HUGE adjustment and when I saw this book was available to request on NetGalley, I knew I needed to read it.

This book is an INVALUABLE resource for new parents. It covered everything from labor and delivery to post partum versus baby blues and breastfeeding. The author is not only a doctor, but as a mother herself she has gone through the gambit of emotions as well. I found her very relatable. The book was easy to read which was a plus for me since I do not normally read nonfiction.

I would definitely recommend this book for new moms and pregnant women in their last trimester (since the book talks a lot about the process of labor which is very overwhelming, especially for a first time mom).

Such an interesting take on motherhood and all it entails. As someone who is not a mother yet or may never be I still found it interesting information and profound.
