I really enjoyed this one. I chose it for this month as it seemed fitting for valentines day. I absolutely loved the sassy FMC and it gave teacher/student vibes with the MMC. The spice was spicin! There were also quite a few tender moments mixed in along with some action and fight scenes. The pacing was great and kept me wanting me.

This is not my typical genre and I was not sure what to expect. I have to say I enjoyed it and even had some LOL moments. There was a little spice, less then what I thought it would be from the way people were talking about it, and that is okay. I liked the story and the characters and will probably pick up the next book in the series. The narrator did a great job, thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook.

While the idea of this book intrigued me, and I thought I would really like it, I DNFd super early in my listening experience. The narrator has a beautiful voice, but I just can't get over the banter and writing style. It all seemed a little juvenile to me - kind of like a joke that is trying to be funny, but just isn't. This may be for you, but it just isn't for me. Sorry.

I really liked this book! It was monstrously sexy and a very fun time. Following Eve and Ash made me giggle and kick my feet at times and then cheer for their victory in the next. The twists and turns the story took were a little predictable but satisfying. I’m definitely going to get more stories from the Hell Bent series!

Thank you to NetGalley and RBmedia for the ARC of My Funny Demon Valentine. This book was alright. I prefer a slow-burn romance to the insta-lust that was going on here. The plot was pretty thin at first, but the story got better as it went on. Not sure if I would continue with the series or not.

A campy, fun paranormal read.
Overall: 3.5

Ash, a demon recently escaped from hell, and Eva, a musician, bond over their love of jazz music. Soon they are making beautiful music together both literally and figuratively. Eva just thinks that Ash is a bit weird, but when she thinks she sees him and his brothers in demon form she begins digging for the truth. She just never thought her dig would lead back to her and her own history. Can Ash and Eva find a way to survive the people hunting them and a way for them to be together?
As an audiobook and ARC reader, I don't love that often the ALC (advanced listening copy) of books are available after the release date. This is most difficult when it's a book I'm anxious to read. Sometimes, though, it works out and I learn about a book when it releases and then notice when the ALC is posted to NetGalley. I spotted this book in a store and was intrigued by the mention of similarities to Brynne Weaver and the paranormal setting. I was thrilled to get access to the ALC on NetGalley. I do think campy is the best way to give an overall vibe to this one. The setting in a jazz club, the over the top descriptions of Ash and his brothers, the way they talk to each other like 14 year old boys (not 5000 year old demons), pushes it into the campy realm. The story is interesting with intriguing plot twists. My life goal is to be a cool, accepting of all mom like Eva's mom is. There is a lot of spicy scenes, but nothing unusual, some of those descriptions felt written like a 14-year-old too. It was an enjoyable read, but not sure I'll finish the series. Ascher does have the set-up for 4+ books with Ash and his brothers. Recommend if you like campy paranormal reads.

This is such a delightfully funny paranormal rom com. Any one who loves Butcher & Blackbird & Lights Out will enjoy this series. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. Easy to follow plot, lots of laughs, steamy scenes… what’s not to love?

2.5 stars. I saw the beautiful re-release of this book in stores and I was intrigued, but this wasn't great. The writing was not good and dialogue was cringy. I'm not sure if the author was trying for an Iced Planet Barbarian's vibe (I love IPB), but it was not quite crazy enough to meet the mark.
I still gave some stars because it was fun at points and I enjoyed the spice. Also, the narrator did a good job.
Thank you netgalley for the audio ARC. This is my honest opinion.

Fun title - enjoyed the narrator. I liked the dialogue - the snippy comments and just the quick thinking of the characters. Loved how the story developed and can't wait to see more!

I received this audio arc in exchange for an honest review. The audio was done very well. I really enjoyed the narrator and it made the experience of this book a lot better for me. This book had a lot of potential unfortunately for me it just fell kind of flat. I found myself really enjoying portions of this and laughing and having a great time and then I’d read a section that would make me cringe and kind of ruined it. I also guessed the ending of this book within 50-ish pages of starting it. It was very predictable. All in all I’m not sure I would continue the series.

I tried really hard to enjoy this book.. but it was a no for me. I thought the plot was fun (4 demon brothers escaping from hell to make a better life for themselves) but other than that, there wasn't much left for me to enjoy. All the characters fell flat and I couldn't care less about the romantic connections.

4⭐
Asmodeus - Prince of Hell, Demon of Lust - has escaped Hell with his two brothers, & all he wants to just play Jazz. Oh & he's cursed.
Evangeline Gregory is just a regular, degular human who works at a Jazz Bar. You can see where this could possibly go, yes?
* Kristen Leigh did such a great job with this audiobook, I think her voice made the experience all the more better!
I think this book may be my whole personality now - Love!
Thank you NetGalley and RB Media for this ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

*I listened to the audiobook*
I'm pleasantly surprised. What a wild ride. I don't usually do monster/demon romances, but the cover grabbed me. I love Ash. He was actually a sweet, silly, weird, hot demon. Burdened with a terrible curse. I loved all the characters. I hope to continue their stories. Narrated by Kristen Leigh. She did a great job.

I really enjoyed this audio book and I think that it puts a different perspective on demons. Usually they are portrayed as evil and while there is still some mention of how awful these 4 demons are, their actions prove otherwise. It was fun to get a different side to Hell's most ruthless demons! I completely empathize with them wanting to escape from hell to become something more.
I enjoyed Ash and Eva's relationship together and how they bonded over their love of music. With Ash not having any concept of human emotions thanks to his curse, he slowly starts to understand Eva's perspective on the world.
I thought adding in Eva's family was an interesting aspect to this book as these kinds of book usually focus on the two main characters. I loved getting all of the details about Eva's parents and learning about Ash's brothers. I thought it was so cute when Eva's mom was bonding with all of the demon brothers and having them do chores and behave themselves. Eva's father has some huge secrets that he has kept from the family and at points I strongly hated him as a character. He does redeem himself towards the end of the book though. Thank you to Netgalley, RBmedia, and Aurora Ascher for an ARC of this audiobook. This review is my own honest opinion. I already have this beautiful deluxe edition on my bookshelf, and I can't wait to add the sequels when they are released!

My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher is an absolute delight! I loved listening to this on audiobook. I thought the narrators added to the story and added so much whimsy and added drama, character and aliveness to the story. It's twisted, hilarious and steamy. Its full of action, and there's a prince of hell and suspense and lots of drama and you just have to go into it with an open mind and blindly, honestly youll have a blast and with the audibook? so much more interactive!

This was such a fun read. There were several moments I laughed outloud. The characters were all hilarious, sweet, and lovable. If you're into paranormal romance definitely give this one a chance.

This experience reminded me of my fondness for some of Christopher Moore’s series, particularly the “Bloodsucking Fiends” and the “Grim Reaper” collections. I found the humour and storyline combined with the delightful absurdity it presents, thoroughly enjoyable and it made for a fun little break in-between high fantasy and my recent heavy reads. I cannot wait for more entries in the series so I can continue to laugh at the brotherly banter, but more importantly to see the direction taken in this story.
The audiobook made a large difference for me. I loved listening to the banter as I did daily tasks.

This book was a cute and funny romance with a few really great lines. I enjoyed it and the narrator did a good job. I feel like a lot of the plot was a bit cliché and predictable at times. I was more into the book early on and sort of lost interest towards the end. Jackie and Thaddeus are the best support characters, and the demons all had distinct personalities. But I feel like there was that little something extra that was missing and prevented this book from being a full 4 stars. I also feel like the Eva was a bit cookie-cutter personality wise. But still, a fun listen and if you want a mostly light-hearted, fun, demon romance book to listen to, you might enjoy this one!

I read this book as a physical copy when it was first released and absolutely loved it—the writing, the banter, and the main couple’s relationship were fantastic.
Now, I’m giving it a try as my first-ever audiobook. Unfortunately, I’m not enjoying it as much. I’m not sure if it’s the narrator or just the audiobook format itself, but it feels a bit flat to me.
Book itself : 4/5, Audiobook: 2/5 -- Averaged to 3/5

My Funny Demon Valentine was such a fun book! It has everything packed into it romance, banter, spice, adventure, and compellingly complex characters.
I fell instantly in love with ALL the characters because they were all so different but still interesting. The writing itself was amazing and very well done it drew me into the story. The spicy bits were *chefs kiss* but didn’t draw away from the plot which is always nice. I can’t wait for the next book!
Thank you NetGalley and RBmedia for providing the eALC.
