Review on deception at the altar by Emmy Grayson the premise of the book is about two families one the Drakos powerful and the GREYS who have fallen on hard times.. The hero Garvriil Drakos is to wed within the year or forfeit his inheritance of the vast business. The herione Juliette Grey hates the Drakos as they took away everything from her father. She Is an investigator reporter who exposed LUCIFER DRAKOS we are told that he was immoral evil man who not only abused and was heartless ruthless with endless mistresses and wives but was not a loving father. He was ruthless in business and cruel . As you have guessed our protagonists are going to get together to form a MOC. She to gain back her beloved house and him to gain his rightful inheritance to the DRAKOS ENTERPRISE. Two very strong characters who are physically attracted to each other. They were elements in this story that I really enjoyed. Both the characters strong but with vulnerabilities. I liked them both specially the feisty heroine. What I don’t like is she is not a virgin but has had several relationships in the past. The H needless to say well known for his endless supply of women. Sometimes just too much. Also not fond of first person narrative. Though, it is well written. There is no OW OR OM! An enjoyable read- it’s part one of a trilogy as the two books deals with the two Half brothers. This is an honest and personal review and I thank Emmy and booksprout for providing me a copy.

Thank you to Net Galley for this e-copy of Deception at the Altar by Emmy Grayson in exchange for a honest review. This was a sweeping romance set in the Pacific Northwest and France and revolves around Juliette and Gavriil. Juliette’s childhood house was lost to Gavriil’s father due to bad decisions and ruthlessness and she has made it her mission to bring his family down through her investigative journalism.. When Gavriil’s father dies and makes a contingency in his will that his son has to get and stay married for a year in order to inherit their company, Juliette intrigues him and he proposes. What each of them doesn’t realize is that each has been shaped by a miserable childhood and that they can each heal the other. Will they finally realize this before their year is up? Read the book and find out.A real tear-jerker.

I really have been enjoying the Harlequin romances, and this one was no different. It reminded me of Lauren Asher. Wonderful!

Enjoyed the book. Although I found the First POV very iffy for harlequin. It's your standard HP.

I was provided the ARC by the author and publisher in exchange of my honest opinion

Emmy Grayson brings us the story of reporter Juliette who is a thorn in Gavriil's side when she keeps attacking his family. When he realizes her reason behind it, he uses it to his advantage. After the death of his father, he must marry and stay married in order to keep his share of the family business. When he proposes a partnership with Juliette where she will finally get what she wants and he gets to keep his business without any threat from others, Will they actually be able to stay married for a year while keeping up appearances to the rest of the world? Or will their past get in the way of what may be?

Emmy Grayson brings us a story of two people who get married out of convenience and to get what they each want. We have two people who have their own mission and decide that the other person can help them achieve this goal. Watch as you follow them along on this journey from the beginning when Gavriil first proposes to her and as they try to figure things out. Follow along as they get to know each other better and how their relationship changes as a result. See if they can put aside their differences and work together to ensure their future, or will their past get in their way for the future's possibilities?

I have read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Harlequin Presents for this privilege.
