This is a heartwarming book about a little girl named Allie who helps out at her parent’s animal shelter. She and her family already have a dog named Christmas who comes with them to the shelter each day, but one day Allie falls in love with a puppy that she ultimately brings home. She has one problem: what to name him? Throughout the story, Allie brainstorms different names, trying to find the perfect one for her new friend. The story is full of warmth and care and I liked how, at the end, there is information about adopting shelter dogs. The illustrations were beautiful and really added to the story. Overall a really cute book.

This story was adorable! I was entertained throughout the entire book. The illustrations were my favorite. I always love this type of art style. The only thing I was not happy with was the name that the puppy ended up with. I felt like there was a lot of build up to it but it just didn’t make sense for me. I don’t think kids will mind though.
I definitely recommend this for kids! It’s a little more advanced so for any kid that wants to get better at their reading.
Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

This is the story of a little girl who names dogs at the animal shelter. She is unsure of what to name her own dog, until she comes up with a great idea. Young and older children alike will enjoy this cute animal story.

This is a companion to the book A Dog Named Christmas. They are introducing a new puppy to the family and our little girl is on a hunt to find the perfect name. This book is cute. Kids will really enjoy it. The holiday in this book happens to be Fourth of July but it’s not about the Fourth of July. It’s more about everyday life. I like the illustrations they match the book pretty well and overall kids will like this.

This was a great book! It was warm, full of love and caring. This book touches places in a human, who has loved, lived with or could not live with a dog at any time in their lives. All children love puppies and kitties and Allie is a lucky lady that gets to have one in her life.
The struggle to name a little angel felt so real and when a puppy earns its name it is worth of celebration.

A sequel to "A Dog Named Christmas", this has a girl whose parents run an animal shelter that is forced to find a name for an abandoned puppy. Will the name match what is happening outside? Will it fit with his little cute form currently – well, probably not, as he'll only grow out of that. Is there a single chance it could tie in with the dog named Christmas, as there are quite a few holidays throughout the calendar? Well…
This is cuteness overload, even if you do worry for the poor kid having to do so much work at the sanctuary and then lots of chores at home. She's a cutesy, the dog is a cutesy, the whole old-fashioned sentiment is cutesy, if you like… It's not really got a re- and re-read narrative, but when it hits you with its saccharine charms it is only pleasurable, and it's certainly not a scan-once-then-discard kind of effort. There is too much work here, visually especially, for that. And it ends with a prompt to go to your local pet pound – which might be a horrid cause of unnecessary pester power for some families, or a reminder that many pet breeders are rich enough already, thank you.
If it was only going to lead to children madly demanding they rehome a pet, with no considerations for if they even can, I'd be the first to give this one star and a slap on the wrist. It's not that – it's almost not about the puppy in the end. No, I'm safe giving this a strong four stars.

How precious!!! The artwork is so sweet and I liked at the end it encourages readers to adopt a dog from the shelter and gives them questions to ask.

Who doesn't want to read a book about animals. Allie's parents run an animal shelter and Allie helps out when she isn't in school. Allie takes an adventure to come up with a name for her new puppy that was dropped off at the shelter. We enjoyed following Allie as she took this journey. Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book. #netgalley, #everydayisaholiday, #gregkincaid, #animalshelter, #puppy, #puppynames

This cute children's book was fun to read.
My daughter and I loved the play on words and the dogs name suit them perfectly.

Every Day Is A Holiday is written by Greg Kincaid, the author of Christmas With Tucker which happens to be a wonderful Christmas movie!
I adored this wonderfully illustrated ( Alessia Girasole) story about a little girl trying to find a name for her new puppy.

Allie’s parent run an animal shelter. She helps bath, feed and name the animals that come in the shelter. One day there is a box outside the shelter and a puppy is inside. She carries the puppy around all day, helping at the shelter. She doesn’t want to leave this one, so her parent decide she can bring it home. Allie can’t figure out what to name it. She ends up naming it Holiday.
What a sweet book! I have foster dogs for many years and have adopted several. This has a great message-adopt don’t shop!! I can’t wait to share this adorable book with my first graders!

This was such a sweet book! I absolutely adored seeing all the things Allie got up to while she thought of a name for her new puppy. The illustrations in this book made it so, so much better! I loved the message about the important of family and demonstrating responsibility.

I loved this story so much. My daughter and I volunteered for years at a rescue and it was so wonderful working with the others, including everyone from adults to very small children. Everyone has something to offer and we all enjoyed it and loved the pets.
The little girl in this story is only 6 but Allie cares for the rescues so much. When she finds an abandoned puppy, Allie has to find a name for him, and she is so positive.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

Animal Enthusiasts Go To
This book pulled on my adoption heart strings. Ugh this is the cutest and kindest family. They are the greatest example of supporting their community while also caring for animals. The guide for ‘how to find your own Holiday’ hit on very important topics to consider when selecting a nee pet.
The illustrations are vivid enough to bring each scene to life. It truly supports what the actions of caring for animals looks like.
This book will generate a lot of conversation for those learning about the let adoption process. I could see this book being an inspiration after taking time to heal after losing a pet and preparing to adopt again.
I received a copy of this book from Greg Kincaid. I am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.

Honestly, who doesn’t love a book about animals and girls that love them. Allie helps her family at a local animal rescue. They found their first dog, named Christmas, from the shelter as a puppy. When the family is beginning to leave the shelter they find a box with a small puppy in it. Needless to say, it was instant love, but Allie has a dilemma, she can’t find a name for her new puppy. As she is going to sleep, her puppy’s name comes to her and she knows that she will be loved every day.
The artwork in this sweet book is beautiful. And I love the story. It’s simple, but relatable. I also like that at the back of the book, there are questions that can be asked about animal rescue and terms use such as microchipping which can lead to a class discussion.

5/5 Everyday is a Holiday by Greg Kincaid
This book was such a fun and adorable read with my little ones! Now they’re determined to get a puppy they can name themselves—haha! The illustrations perfectly complemented the story and flowed so beautifully, making it even more enjoyable. Allie was such a sweet character, and both my children and I loved reading this during storytime. I’ll definitely be adding the physical book to their bookshelf!
A big thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of this book!

This book gives all the warm, fuzzy feelings of a great children's book. I love how it all comes together at the end and what a perfect ending! This book is great for adolescents who have animals or are thinking about getting an animal because it shows the chores that are required in taking care of them. The holidays it touches on are also a great learning tool. And of course the special message that Shelter Animals are just as special as any others. Really loved this book. Thank you, Mr. Kincaid for putting a smile on my face!

I love the drawing and story telling and the story "Every Day Is a Holiday" such an lovable reference meaning . Kids and Elders like me will love this
