I thought it was a little dump the reason he left her. it wasnt unnecessary drama orher than that I cant wait for Kolt and Paige.

I just love a good hockey romance and Tell Me Lies did not disappoint. Give me a single dad and a hockey romance and I am hooked.
Hannah Gray told a wonderful story about a professional hockey player, Logan Sterns who becomes a single dad overnight when a tragedy changes his life and Maci McKenzie, a struggling romance writer that becomes his nanny.
Maci has not been able to write since losing her dad and fiancé.
Logan is a great dad but needs help when his current nanny is leaving. Maci is recommended to him and she seems like a great fit.
Amelia, Logan’s three year old daughter is the cutest!
The three start to blur the lines and become a family. The interactions and connection will just warm your heart so. Maci finds herself again and Logan becomes her muse.
But when Maci discovers the truth and the connection from their past, can they overcome it?
I listened to the audio and thought the narrators did a wonderful job. I was hooked. Hockey romance lovers must read Hannah Gray. I am loving her stories!

I really enjoyed this. It was great spice with a great story. The characters were relatable and Amelia is the cutest! It took me a few to get used to the MMC voice on audio because I didn’t buy his southern accent, but once I got past that he was great.

A sweet hockey romance. The twist/connection was unexpected. I was a little unrealistic how quickly they got over it. But it was a sweet nannyxsingle dad

4⭐️ Audiobook!
Logan is a single dad to his daughter, Amelia, and with his nanny moving to another state he now needs someone to take on caring for his child who is not a psycho hockey fan. Maci is a romance writer who have been struggling to write since the tragedy that happened to her three years ago. She agrees to be Amelia's nanny to have a change of pace and maybe help drum up some inspiration. As they grow close, they cross some lines and Logan offers himself up as a test subject for her spicy scenes.
This is a pretty good sports romance that focuses on how they navigate their growing relationship despite the rules they try to set for themselves. Logan is a funny, easy-going character and it's so easy to be charmed by him and his filthy mouth. Maci is endearing as an FMC and you enjoy seeing her grow out of the trauma she initially has shackling her.
I enjoyed the overall pace and how they slowly formed a friendship that turned flirty and eventually spicy. I also liked Amelia as a very astute toddler that helped brought them together. And the dog, Clyde! Bullmastiffs are so adorable and funny. Clyde definitely fits the character. I wasn't fully vibing with the aftermath of the twist, but it did get resolved quickly. And the spice was definitely spicing!
The narrators definitely did a good job with this dual narration. I engaged well with both the story and how they told it from both perspectives.
This is recommended for contemporary sports romance fans who like the single dad x nanny trope. I think this is worth a listen.
Pick this up if you're looking for:

I'd like to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for being given a chance get an ALC of this audiobook. All opinions on this book is my own.

A spicy and emotionally deep single dad x nanny/struggling romance writer, forced proximity, dual POV romance by a new to me Indie author. This was fun, heartfelt and fast-paced. Perfect for fans of authors like Helena Hunting or Tessa Bailey and I'm excited to read more in this series. It was also good on audio! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review!

Single Hockey Dad? immediately yes.
My first time listening to a romance novel on audio book and it did not disappoint! I loved the duel narration even if the spice had me BLUSHING!!
listened in a single day because the plot was balanced and kept me interested. This book has been on my tbr for a while so I´ll definitely be continuing the series probably on audiobook!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

3.5 ⭐️
I absolutely loved the dual narration! Both narrators did a great job. The spice was spicing in 'Tell Me Lies' with Logan helping Macy "research" for the spicy scenes in the book she is writing.
This book had 2 of my fav things book wise: single dad and Hockey 😍.
I did expect a little more out of the "twist". I thought this twist was over dramatized a bit by the FMC, Macy.
I was not a huge fan of how cocky the MMC Logan was. That's a me issue, not an author issue. I'm more of a confidence rather than cocky fan.
Thank you NetGalley, the author, and Dreamscape Media for an advanced listeners copy in exchange for an honest review.

3.75 stars! I listened to this audiobook in one day! The narrators were both great, and I loved that it was dual POV. My only issue with the audiobook was when the daughter’s audio was read by Logan (the MMC) - it was so cringey hahaha.
The story had me hooked, and Logan Sterns can speak to me however he wants anytime! 🥵 I liked the pace of the development of their relationship, and I’d say the spice is 🌶️🌶️🌶️!
This being a hockey romance, I will say there wasn’t a whole lot of hockey in the storyline. I still enjoyed the story and didn’t feel like it was lacking anything, but if you are looking for more hockey in your hockey romance, you may be disappointed!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media for the ALC of this book. I am voluntarily leaving this review after listening to the audiobook.

As a single dad, Logan has found a great balance of being in the NHL, juggling fatherhood, and coming up with the best dad jokes. But when his nanny has to move, he needs someone he can trust to help with his daughter, Amelia. Enter struggling romance writer Maci. She helps Logan with Amy, and he helps Maci with her book *inspiration.*
TML was one of my favorite reads of 2024. Logan and Maci have true soulmate vibes; they were put in each other’s paths for a reason, and it just takes some untangling to see it. I love when the book title works its way into the story, and here might be my favorite instance of this I’ve read—breath hitched, got goosebumps, perfection.
I was lucky enough to get this ALC through NetGalley, and I loved it just as much as I did when I was eyeball read. Chloe Ryan was terrific as Maci. Walker Williams gave life to Logan and had the little southern drawl. Both really brought out the emotions Hannah is known for.
If you haven’t read this one, it’s a must add to your TBR! And if you are an audiobook fan, this was a terrific listen.

Be still my heart!! Logan Sterns and Maci McKenzie are absolutely made for one another. Life circumstances shook up their lives in a huge way, but fate intervened and brought them together. Their path to one another was painful. The secret is enough to tear them apart, but what they have is special and worth fighting for. The narration of this audio was spot on and perfect. I need more right now!! Hannah Gray is a new to me author, and I will for sure be devouring this series.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this ALC. ALL thoughts and opinions are my own!

A really fun and spicy single dad, hockey romance. I LOVED the characters and the kid was adorable!!
It was fast paced, but not rushed. The banter was amazing!
The only thing I didn't enjoy as much was the third act conflict, it made me very frustrated.
Thank you netgalley and the puclisher for the arc!

Amazing Read! All the stars for Maci and Logan!!
When Hannah writes it, she puts her heart into, and this book is no different! I could not love this story more if I tried. Hannah had me at a single dad. It is my favorite trope!
This book will have you wanting more of Maci and Logan. I could not get enough of these two. Logan is a single dad and is trying to find a nanny for his little girl. She is the cutest little human ever!! Maci is trying something different to have a breakthrough with her writing.
Logan and Maci are absolute fire together! Your Kindle will melt when you read it as well as your heart.
When it was announced that Hannah was writing a professional hockey series, I literally screamed. I am stuck in my hockey era like the rest of you. Hannah writes a beautiful story with so many feelings and emotions. I could not wait to read this one and now I am sad I am finished ... Now I will sit and wait for the next in the series....
Audio Review:
Chloe Ryan and Walker Williams are both fairly new to me. I have heard Chloe before and I really like her. She is great with bringing Maci to life in this audio. Chloe has a soft but strong voice, and I just think it is perfect for Maci. I also adored her voice for Amelia. It is so sweet!
Walker Williams did great with a southern draw for Logan. I really liked him in this audio. Walker has a smooth voice, and that southern draw just added to it.
This became one of my favorite listens!!

This was written for bookish girlies everywhere. It's giving Wag. Love a book that can put my jaw on the floor, laugh out loud and this certainly did that. Thrilled to see Tell Me Lies is a series because we're definitely interested in more.

Logan really took his role as inspirational booktok boyfriend seriously. He knew we wanted dirty talking hockey players and he aimed to please. It had that typical totally sweet and adorbs kid that you always get in a single parent book and it was just good vibes.
If I had one thing that was “meh”, it was the whole conflict. I don’t want to give anything away, but there was just no way that was going to be the thing that came between them. I don’t even know why Maci was worrying about telling him.
🎵 Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies 🎵 Sorry, but if I have to have that song in my head every time I think of this book then so do you.
Thanks to #netgallery, the author and publisher for a copy of this book.

WOW, this was my first Hannah Gray book and she is officially an auto buy author for me now! This book was everythinggggg! A hockey romance, between a single dad and a romance book writer? Like this is what dreams are made of for us book girlies!
Maci, Logan, and Amelia made the perfect found family together. The way Maci seamlessly fit into life with Logan and Amelia, and how hard she loved Amelia was so heartwarming to see. And although her and Logan tried to fight off their attraction to each other when they finally gave in, it was so worth it! Finding out the emotional way their lives were all tied together, made their happily ever after even more sweet.
The dual narration POV was soooo good, and the dreamy Southern accent dripping off of Logan’s voice was everything. I also loved hearing so many parts of the book narrated in Amelia’s little voice.
I cannot wait to go back and read Hannah Grays backlist because her writing flows so beautifully, and she weaves together the most emotional yet spicy romance stories.
Tropes include:
🏒Hockey Romance
🤍Single Dad
🏒Found family
🤍She’s a romance author
🏒Small Town

Whew, it’s been a while since I’ve read a Hannah Gray and I forgot just how spicy she is 🔥🔥🔥
Expect 👉🏼 Hockey Romance, Romance Author, Single Dad, Part Time Nanny, Forced Proximity, Cocky Southern MC, Spice… inspo 👀😮💨
Former Playboy Logan, has his world upended when the daughter he didn’t know about is placed in his arms. Now a single dad but still a hockey star, he needs help raising her while he’s working.
Maci is a best selling romance author who is stuck. She hasn’t been able to write—especially not the spicy stuff—in a long time. Helping out the friend of a friend, watching his daughter might just be the perfect inspiration she needs to get her career back on track. And if the dad also happens to be inspiring… Maci might as well take full advantage of their temporary arrangement.
I binged this book so hard. The spice was SPICY and the sweet moments were perfect. I absolutely love a cocky man and Logan was that and more.
🎧 I didn’t love the southern accents in this narration. But it didn’t bother me enough to stop even slow down the book. But outside of the accents, I enjoyed the audio.

Single dad x nanny
He falls first and harder
Forced proximity
Funny & obsessed MMC
Cute kid
Logan is a hockey player and single dad to 3 year old Amelia. Maci is hired as a nanny while she is working on writing a book. Logan overhears Maci telling her agent she needs inspiration to write spicy scenes and shamelessly offers to be said inspiration.
Logan has a dirty mouth 🥵 and has no reservations to say exactly what he wants to do with Maci until he realizes he catches feelings.

4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Tropes:

Tell me lies is book 1 in the brand new series of, New England Bay Sharks from Author Hannah Gray. Let me tell you this book did not disappoint at all and it has the filthy mouth, single dad vibes. This is Logan and Maci's story.
Our FMC has been through the wringer in the last couple years is now struggling to write anything since her life flipped upside down. When she is offered the job to be Logan's nanny, she agrees to do so temporarily. Her hopes in being Logan's nanny is that she gains some inspiration and can get her career and life on track. She never thought she would fall in love with both Logan and his daughter, Amelia.
Logan, is our single dad hockey hero. Logan is very protective of both his girls and he tells the worst dad jokes, I mean bad, but u can't help but laugh because they are awful. Logan was one dirty talking daddy, the stuff that came out of his mouth, would have been blushing. He also had no plans on adding a woman or relationship into the mix of hockey and being a single dad. He offers to help Maci with her
"sexy" scenes for her book, but what he never encountered happening was him and his daughter needing her and loving her.
But here comes the twist……
What will happen when Logan learns how they are connected? Will Maci lose her new family? Or will Logan understand and be the same loving and supportive person she's grown to love?
ALC REVIEW
Chloe Ryan and Walker Williams were spot on as Maci and Logan. This is my first experience with Chloe but Walker... everything I listen to by him has been great.
They were able to convey all aspects of their characters well... from the fun and spice, to the parts that needed more raw emotion and grit.
You'll definitely get sucked into this audio listening to the story come to life .
Tell me lies is definitely one to add to your collection.
This was such a great start to a new series and I can't wait to read Kolts book next
.. .

I really liked the idea of this book, what secret was Maci McKenzie keeping ?
In the book we meet Professional Hockey play Logan, single dad to a 3 year old daughter. His Nanny is leaving and he’s desperate for a replacement. One of his teammates recommends his wife’s friend Maci, Maci is an author, who following an accident 3 years ago has struggled with her writing and so agrees to a 6 week trial.
During this 6 weeks it becomes clear that Maci and Logan are growing close, but both are keeping a secret. Will this secret blow their relationship apart?
I liked the idea of this storyline but felt it didn’t need the gratuitous , graphic sex scenes. I’ll be honest, if I had been aware of the nature of this book I wouldn’t have requested it. It’s a shame as I liked the story and the characters but not that side of the story. Don’t get me wrong I have no issue with sex scenes, they certainly have their place, however I didn’t need such graphic content. Not for me
