I highly recommend you read Maid for Each Other by Lynn Painter, this light hearted romantic comedy, I started reading this book and could not put it down. I could picture every scene in my head. I absolutely loved the main characters Declan and Abi, and the sweet story about them! I give this book 5 stars out of 5 and would give it more if I could!! This is a very relaxing book to read and fall into the wonderful world of Abi and Declan.

I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Lynn Painter! She knows how to write books that are just plain fun to read! This book was so cute. It’s definitely a bit cheesy and silly in parts, but it didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment!

I really enjoyed the dual POV. Both Declan and Abi were easy characters to love! Their banter and chemistry was perfect. The spice in this book is minimal, but there is definitely a lot of sexual tension. They fall fast and hard. I’m not always a big fan of fake dating, but I thought Painter did a great job with these two.

If you’re looking for a cute, lighthearted, fake dating romance, then I definitely recommend grabbing a copy of this book! As always, I can’t wait to read from Lynn Painter in the future!

Maid for Each Other is a great contemporary read, very Cinderella-esque. The pacing is good, the plot is excellent and the characters are really likeable and well rounded. Abi is a scrappy little thing that reminded me of Elizabeth from the show New Girl. She was very much one of those “I’ll do this because we agreed on it but it won’t change who I am and I am totally going to mess with you” types, while Dex was a career minded guy who was all dollars and suits up front with some hidden depths that weren’t just ab-deep. Total ice berg.

This is one of those easy contemporary reads. Not necessarily cozy, but the kind where there is plenty to puzzle out and where you want to race full speed to find an HEA. It got me through a significant reading slump. This was my first Lynn Painter book, but it will definitely not be my last!

Thank You NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for an advanced ebook copy in exchange for this review!

I will be the first to tell you that I LOVE a billionaire romance and Lynn Painter has written some of my favorite reads so I was super excited to get this arc! I literally started reading the second I got it because I wanted to dive right in! Overall, it was a good read but I didn't feel the palpable chemistry between these two characters that I am used to from Painter. I liked Abi and Declan as individuals but not as much together. I think Lynn Painter is a strict YA writer for me, because I have adored every single one of her YAs but her Adults just aren't hitting the same for me sadly

"Maid for Each Other" by Lynn Painter is a delightful romantic comedy that brings together the unlikely pairing of a millionaire and a house cleaner in a charming narrative. The story follows Abi Mariano, a professional cleaner and part-time student juggling multiple jobs. When an infestation forces her out of her apartment, she seizes the opportunity to stay in the penthouse she regularly cleans, assuming its owner, Declan Powell, will remain absent. However, an unexpected encounter with Declan's parents leads to a case of mistaken identity, where Abi is presumed to be Declan's girlfriend. To manage the situation, Declan proposes a fake dating arrangement, setting the stage for a series of humorous and heartfelt events. The chemistry between Abi and Declan is palpable, with their interactions filled with playful banter and genuine connection.

The novel employs the popular fake dating trope, executed with humor and heart. The dual perspectives of Abi and Declan provide depth to their characters, making their evolving relationship both believable and compelling. The narrative is fast-paced, ensuring readers remain engaged from start to finish. While the story leans into classic romantic comedy elements, it does so with a fresh and modern twist. The exploration of social class differences adds an extra layer of tension and intrigue, enriching the overall narrative.

In conclusion, "Maid for Each Other" is a heartwarming and entertaining read that will appeal to fans of romantic comedies. Lynn Painter's adept storytelling and character development make this novel a must-read for those seeking a lighthearted and satisfying romance.

My Review- The book's description was interesting to me I was happy to get an arc of the book and I like this book it was a fun read. You have a maid named Abi who can't stay at her house for a week and stays at the apartment she cleans because the owner is not there, but one morning before she goes she meets his parents who think she is their son's girlfriend. So they make a deal to fake date and she can stay at this apartment, It was fun to read their banter and the sweet times in the story were great I do wish it had more to it there were times it went too fast, and wanna more info or detail. If you like a book that does not do spicy but in a different way you will like this.

Thank you, Berkley and NetGalley for the arc

Lynn Painter doesn't miss. LYNN PAINTER DOESN'T MISS. I swear to god every single book of hers is funnier than the last, which I didn't know was possible. Her ability to create messy, wholly relatable characters, throw them into these completely batshit crazy situations, and have you giggling and SWOONING over the hottest MMC ever is such a Lynn Painter trademark.

Maid for Each Other was no different. I'm trash for fake dating, and the dual POV made this utter perfection. I'll admit, I'm typically not a fan of power imbalances---and the maid x millionaire was certainly a LARGE one. But Lynn handled it with such care, with laugh-out-loud banter, delicious tension, and a plot so fast paced I literally couldn't put this down for ANYTHING.

Something about Lynn's adult writing doesnt always capture me. I thought this was okay, Not my favorite.

"What could go wrong? It’s business, not pleasure. Right?"

Huge thank you to Berkley Publishing Group @ Penguin for sending me over this ARC! If anyone knows me at all, they know I absolutely adore Lynn Painter. 🖤✨🥹

What to expect:

🫧Forced Proximity
🫧Fake Dating
🫧Strangers to Lovers
🫧Grumpy x Sunshine
🫧 Millionaire x Maid
🫧 Dual POV

This book was everything I look for in a RomCom. There is palpable tension, enjoyable banters, and a fun, binge-able storyline. The plot was entertaining, and the characters were developed perfectly. The faking dating trope is so fun to me. I also am a sucker for a dual POV book.

Lynn Painter's books seem to always have mixed reviews, and I think it is because they tend to fall somewhere between YA and Adult fiction. The spice is minimal in this, but towards the end, it does exist, which is why I assume this would be considered an Adult RomCom rather than YA. But honestly, I don't have any complaints.

If you're looking for a cute, quick read, this would be perfect.

As always, all thoughts are my own. 🖤✨

** spoiler alert ** Thank you to 'Berkley Publishing Group' for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
"Maid for Each Other" was a quick read, and the first book by Lynn Painter I have had the chance to read.
Abi is the maid for one of mega-rich hot guy Declan's apartments and his parents run into her unexpectedly, creating a plot for chaos when she introduces herself as Abi (Abi is also the name Declan has very conveniently made up for his fake girlfriend). This fake dating trope was heavy on the 'fake' side and often relied heavily on constructed situations to get them to be together but their chemistry was good. So let them be together, quicker! Overall, it was a good paced read and had a happy ending to tie up all loose ends.

A cute, lighthearted romance between a maid and the billionaire she cleans for. Dual pov, mutual attraction, and a bit of fake dating!

This book is Pretty Woman meets Maid in Manhattan.

-Fake dating
- One Bed
- millionaire/maid
- grumpy sunshine

This book was so hard to put down. I was laughing out loud and smiling throughout most of the book.

This book follows Abi who is working two jobs to help pay her bills and put herself through graduate school. One of those jobs is being a maid. While her apartment is being fumigated she decides spend the night in one of the condos she cleans while the owner is out of town. As she’s leaving she runs into the owners parents and when she tells them her name they seemed so excited to meet her. Not sure what was going on she hurries out the door.

Declan hears from his parents how happy they that they finally had the chance to meet his girlfriend Abby. Declan is concerned since he made Abby up. Desperate to find out what’s going on he finds out that Abi is the maid that cleans his place. He tracks her down ready to get her fired but ends up making her an offer she can’t refuse.

Date him for the weekend while his company is holding their annual shareholders events. Easy enough right?

What happens when you realize you’re not acting anymore? They both live such different lives, would they even work as a couple? Abi watches every penny and Declan seems to just give it away. Can she ever get passed the rich guy and see who he is? Can Declan see past the poor maid and like Abi for who she really is?

I love Lynn Painter and this book did not disappoint. Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House for the opportunity to read this ARC.

First, I’d like to extend a big thank you to Berkley Publishing Group, NetGalley and author, Lynn Painter for the complimentary digital copy of this wonderful book!

I absolutely adored and devoured this sweet little Rom-com! Did it have some cheesy lines and farfetched moments? It absolutely did… though none of which detoured me from pretty much binging this thing in one sitting. It was fast paced, fun, witty, flirty, full of great writing and outstanding characters. I’ll admit, I wasn’t a big fan of either Declan or Abi in the beginning but it wasn’t long at all before I was swooning over Declan myself and rooting for them as a couple.
If you’re in the mood for a quick, lighthearted rom-com that’s sure to leave you smiling- I’d say this one is a perfect fit!

Lynn Painter is always a fun, light read. This one does not disappoint. Although this is predictable, I enjoyed it and love the banter that Lynn Painter always puts in her books.

A heartwarming, feel-good romcom that completely pulls you in. A maid and her boss—two people from opposite worlds—shouldn't work, but somehow, they do. What starts as an unexpected friendship turns into a fake relationship, filled with stolen moments, playful banter, and an undeniable connection. They try to convince themselves it’s just pretend, but every glance, every touch, and every conversation says otherwise.

The tension between them is so well done—sometimes frustrating, sometimes sweet, but always impossible to ignore. The way they fight their feelings makes you want to shake them, but it only makes their eventual realization more satisfying. Their differences don’t push them apart; instead, they complement each other in ways neither of them expected.

It’s a story full of humor, warmth, and charm. You can’t help but root for them the whole way through, hoping they’ll figure it out and realize what’s right in front of them.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Maid for Each Other by Lynn Painter

Thank you NetGalley, Lynn Painter, and Berkley Publishing Group for the ARC!

Desperate times, desperate measures! Abi decides to stay at one of the condos she is assigned to clean, because her shitty apartment has an infestation. When the condo owners parents arrive and thinks Abi is their son’s girlfriend, they are ecstatic to finally meet her. Enter Dex, he is angry that this happened, but is convinced by a friend to ask Abi to keep up the charade. She agrees on the condition he pay her a large sum, he agrees because he doesn’t care about his money, and they start attending functions together.

The story unfolds and was so cute and made me laugh out loud multiple times! The chemistry between the two was 🔥

I felt like the last 20% was a little rushed, and I would have liked it to be expanded a little, but overall I really liked the story!

I love me a Lynn Painter book. She actually never disappoints!
This was funny and sooo adorable, I loved the cinderella references and the characters. They quickly went from strangers to "colleagues", to actual friends turned lovers. It was cute to see their fake dating turn into real feelings for each other. I enjoyed their banter and I‘m so thankful that they talked to each other. There were misunderstandings but they tried to figure it out instead of not communicating.
I read this in less than 24 hours, it was so fast paced and I can actually see myself rereading this!!

Lynn is the queen and this is a happy little book and I am a happy little person for reading it.

Abi is a maid and a grocery store clerk and a student and an amateur writer and Declan is a millionaire because of family business reasons. And of course we have to spend some portions of the book saying things like “Boooo millionaires and excessive living is baaaad, booooooooo.” Idk why this must be done, but apparently it’s a requirement in these romance books. Because of course it’s stunningly romantic to have a man potentially pay off student loans like it’s nothing and whisk a heroine off to NYC for a day but we can’t *like* that he has money. He has to hate the excessive nature of money whilst we simultaneously love that he can pay for all these nice things.

Make it make sense plz.

But alas, Lynn is still queen and I’m not bombarded with these things *too* often and left with a pretty flirty and very fast paced little rom com. I do feel like I was missing some of the Lynn Painter pining that’s usually there because of how fast paced it was. But overall enjoyed this book.

Do I have to say this is an ARC and review is my own or is that something we just say anyway?
