37 Questions by June Kaye was a really cute meet-cute romance debut.
The characters were interesting. I found the story to be well paced and enjoyable throughout the whole book.

Unfortunately, I have to start my feedback with saying that so much potential was wasted.
I wouldn´t say that the book was bad, but I really did not enjoy the last third at all.
I really like the idea for an easy read with a whole lot of raw feelings and a growing connection you can feel but that is only part of the truth. There were parts of what I expected but still it could not hold up to my expectations.
The connection between our protagonists was there and also believable but I could not stand either of them and their actions in the last third - it all felt forced and did not fit to the rest of the story.
It did not help that the story is told from narrative perspective, there are unsights in the protagonists thinking but to me this almost always feels wrong (not just in this specific book!).
I wouldn´t exclude giving the authors another chance given this is their debut novel and that I liked parts of it.

So when Nora doesn't recognize him, begrudgingly letting him inside her home to shelter in place only after confirming he's an old friend of her landlord, he's relieved by the chance to be himself without the pressures of celebrity.

The cover art is beautiful and eye-catching. The premise of this story is also what caught my attention. But 30% in, and my attention still wasn't captivated. The storyline just wasn't doing it for me. I don't think I was the intended audience for this story.

I will definitely give this another read when I'm in the mood.

4.25⭐️s This was very cute for a insta-attraction romance. The 37 questions was probably my favorite part. If you can go through those kinds of questions with a handsome stranger and still be interested, there is definitely a story worth reading to me. Meet cute, miscommunication, multi-cultural characters, forced proximity, and slow burn.

Nora and Aiden are complete strangers. And yet, they are hunkered down in Nora’s home during a tornado. As they wait for the storm to pass, they end up answering the 37 questions for your partner in a magazine. They learn so much about each other over the course of the storm. Instead of potentially ruining the attraction they feel, it strengthens it. That is until the storm passes and reality hits hard.

At first, I had trouble getting into *37 Questions*—even though I liked the premise, the writing style didn’t grab me right away. But as I kept reading, Nora and Aiden won me over. Their relationship was so sweet, and their connection felt real and heartfelt. I especially loved Nora’s complexity and how her medical condition added depth to her story.

One of my favorite parts of the book was how the questionnaire and the storm brought them together. It was such a unique and romantic setup that made their love story feel meant to be. While the beginning was a bit slow for me, by the end, I was completely hooked. If you enjoy character-driven romances with emotion and a little fate, this book is definitely worth a read.

This was a fun one. I loved all those quizzes in magazines when I was a teen so 37 Questions took me back to those times. It was a witty and cute romance but I didn't see much chemistry between the characters. The two of them together just wasn't believable.

This book was overall a 3 star read for me. I loved the forced proximity and also the use of the 37 questions - I liked filling in the magazine quizzes when I was younger so I thought this was a very fun idea.

I liked Aiden and Nora individually but I didn’t think they suited one another very well as a couple. Aiden is very reserved, polite, and stumbles over his words around her but I felt like this was overdone slightly and we were reminded of this too often. I understood he was overly polite and nervous without having to be told as often as I was.

I’m not usually a fan of third person novels and think I would have preferred it in first person but once I had gotten used to it I didn’t find it jarring or distracting to read.

I’d be interested to see what this author does next!

Lasst mich zunächst einmal festhalten, dass ich das Buchcover liebe. Ich finde sowohl das Motiv als auch die verwendeten Farben sehr einladend. Dass das Cover tatsächlich gut zur Liebesgeschichte passt, finde ich super.

Die Geschichte in dem romance Buch ist angenehm und einladend geschrieben. Auch wirkten zahlreiche Details auf mich frisch und unterhaltsam. Zudem habe ich sowohl die Heldin als auch den Helden gerne näher kennengelernt.

Da sich das ja alles sehr positiv anhört, sollte man meinen, dass ich mit dem Liebesroman eine wunderbare Zeit hatte. Das trifft leider nur teils zu. Denn da ich mir die Hauptcharaktere mehr schlecht als recht als echte Personen vorstellen konnte, was für mich in Büchern wichtig ist, waren meine Emotionen beim Lesen nicht so tief involviert wie erhofft.

Kein Fan war ich zudem von den Entwicklungen im letzten Drittel, die zu einer Pause in der Beziehung geführt haben. So etwas wirkt auf mich fast nie überzeugend oder notwendig.

Darunter hat mein Leseerlebnis natürlich etwas gelitten. Rückblickend bin ich aber trotzdem froh, dem Roman eine Chance gegeben zu haben.

Wer Liebesromane mag, in denen die beiden Hauptcharaktere sehr unterschiedliche Leben führen und in denen der Held zunächst seine Identität verbirgt, für den könnte das Buch einen Versuch wert sein.

To say I was invested is little.

Aiden was a joy to read. A young actor on his prime of fame, desperate for a real connection and a blank slate.

Nora, with the weight of a work related issue and some past lover issues to work on.

Both brought together by the power of being good people and a tornado warning in the middle of Tennessee.

As a teenager I absolutely loved those magazine tests about what your favourite colour says about you. So when I read the synopsis I was thrilled and excited. But I absolutely adored the fact they used this particular test. Scientifically it works and for our characters, well you'll have to read and find out.

Nora was a character that I adored. I've been in her shoes and I could relate to her experience and how it feels to be scared of past mistakes. I really like when characters feel real and complex.

Aiden *sigh*, I love the man. But I was also very worried about his life choices at time. I was very pleasantly surprised with his development.

In a book that happens in the span of a single night, you wouldn't expect much character development and yet. This felt like lifting layers and layers of knowledge and getting to really know your people.

Overall, I really liked it.

Nora and Aiden are strangers, temporarily stuck at Nora’s house due to an impending tornado. To pass the time and get to know each other, they decide to answer the “37 Questions to Fall in Love.” The catch? Aiden is a famous actor and Nora doesn’t recognize him.

I loved the premise, but the story just dragged for me. I enjoyed watching Nora and Aiden’s relationship develop and answering each question carefully and truthfully. The miscommunication trope leading to a third act “breakup” is probably my least favorite and I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop the whole time. I enjoyed the first half more so than the ending.

This might not have been the book for me, but it is cute and witty and will definitely find its audience.

First of all I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Unfortunately this book wasn't for me, I liked the characters as individuals, but not as a couple. The writing was one of the positives because it was very engaging from chapter one, so I totally want to read other books by this author, this one was just not for me.

This book had a lot of potential and I really loved the concept of it. I just didn’t love the writing - it tried to be too poetic and quirky. It would have worked better with a first person and more narrative style, but it’s written in third person and tries to be too different.

Pedí el ARC de esta historia porque realmente me llamo la atención el plot de la historia que gira entorno a una serie de preguntas de una revista de chimentos!!! Me parecio totalmente increible. Tenemos a Nora, que es brasilera y trabaja en STEM y después esta Aiden que es un actor inglés.

Lo que realmente me gusto de esta novela es que no tiene escenas de smut !!!! ultimamente me cuesta mucho encontrar romcoms que no estén guiadas por escenas de sexo. Osea, es una romcom de punta a punta y con un slowburn y pinning que cuesta MUCHO ENCONTRAR!!! yo estaba siendo totalmente feliz.

Un contra que tiene la historia, es que a mi parecer el conflicto que se presenta lo estiraron demasiado las autoras, casi un 30% fue meramente el conflicto y llego un momento que me aburrio, por eso es que le puse una puntuacion de 3,5 estrellas. Creo que realmente no era necesario estirarlo tanto.

This was pretty cute.

I'm a fan of the forced proximity trope; that's what initially drew me in to this. I liked that they were basically stuck with each other until the weather cleared. Aiden is shy and stumbles over his words while he’s with her. And Nora is unapologetically herself. Their dynamic was quite interesting in this situation.

The characters are complex, and I enjoyed getting to know them. I just wasn’t a fan of how quickly they fell for each other. It was a bit unrealistic, and their chemistry felt a bit forced.

The miscommunication at the end was very frustrating to me :,) I didn’t like how they handled it and wasn’t exactly rooting for them to work it out.

Overall, I think my main issue is that I couldn’t connect with these characters.

I'd recommend you give this a go if you’re looking for a quick contemporary romance.

This book had great potential and the plot was unique. However, I didn’t gravitate towards either character, so it was hard to root for them or become invested. I felt the man female character tried too hard. I know it’s the theme of the book, but there really were too many questions.

I know some people will love this book. It just wasn’t for me. Thank you to NetGalley for letting me try a new author! 2.5 ⭐️

What an introduction to the authors! Definitely a good start to the next books they're going to write.

She's surprised by the arrival of a charming and surprisingly down-to-earth stranger at her doorstep. This unexpected encounter with Aiden, a famous actor seeking refuge from the storm, leads to an evening of unexpected intimacy as they connect over a silly magazine quiz. But their budding connection faces a storm of its own when Nora discovers Aiden's true identity, forcing them to confront the realities of their different worlds and the fragility of their newfound connection.

This book was really going well for the first half. I liked the setting of the tornado and the act of knowing one another through questions while seeking shelter away from it. The questions were legit, I've read them before as well so I know the authors at least took a source that's already out there. I liked the vulnerability Nora and Aiden gave to one another to know each other better, the slow burn definitely built their connection and intimacy with one another.

What I didn't like was the third act breakup and the way Nora acted about it. I believe everyone has their weak spots and that is normal but the way she made her statement about it was not nice to see. I think if the roles were reversed, many might have said Aiden was being an asshole. The entire act was just miscommunicated and 1/4 of the book might have been better instead. I also don't believe in insta-love which felt a lot like what Nora and Aiden have.

If you want a no-stress, light read this is the book for you!

The premise for this one truly caught my eye when I first read it, I was so excited for it. I thought it was so cute. Unfortunately, I found myself being a little bored with this one. The romance is way too insta love for me and that is definitely not something I enjoy. Also, the miscommunication was ridiculous and just didn't work for me. It just wasn't the book for me.

The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because it made me laugh out loud a few times like I’ve done it Abby Jimenez’ books. Other than that, this just wasn’t realistic to me. Way too soon for two people to be falling in love. She JUST met him and she’s pissed at him for not telling her he’s an actor? And also, throwing his deepest regret in his face with the intention to hurt him was the lowest blow imaginable and if I were him, I would not be letting her back into my life. That was not okay…… in any circumstance. I think the idea is cute, being stuck together through a tornado but the love story would’ve felt more believable if they’d already met or had a history together. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I loved the meet-cute of this duo of distinct personalities. 37 questions to fall in love, was a brilliant idea for us to get to know these characters together with themselves. The excess dialogue leaves it a little superficial. But the tone of the writing is light and fun, perfect for a day's reading.
To me is a 3.5⭐️

I liked this a lot. Something about books set over the course of one day (mostly) just as with movies set over the same time period just resonate with me so much. I liked the characters and this wasn't too overblown with conflict. It was sweet and I was rooting for Aiden and Nora. Definitely recommend!!
