The mix of both true and fictional accounts was interesting, though the fictional stories, such as Murphy’s Choice and Marilyn At Midnight, didn’t offer anything beyond what you’d expect from a well-written short story.

This was a fun read. Torrid and twisted, yes. Some erotic. Some a little Twilight Zone like. Many about life in the Phillipines. The stories are very short and concise and pack a punch and are certainly an escape from reality. So, if you are looking for sugar and spice and some adult theme material which will take you away from everyday stresses, this works. I read the book during the LA fires, so I can use some pure escape. Mission accomplished.
