Murder, mystery, steamy sex scenes! I haven’t got to read book two yet but I will. This author keeps you reeled in the whole time! Good to remember that this book won’t tie everything up in a bow.
I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I find that a lot of the time, erotic novels focus more on the sex than on a good storyline. This book had a good balance between both! The characters were great, they were developed, I could connect with each of them in their own way. There were times when I felt that long passages with unnecessary details could be cut out, but other than that I liked it! Looking forward to the next in the series.
This was a hard book to finish and several times I almost put the book down but really hate not finishing something I started to read. I couldn't related to either character and I'm not sure if it's because everything was just so drawn out or the lack of concentration due to what felt like missing sentence/paragraphs and jumpy writing or what. This book had great potential but just fell short. I now know more about horse jumping that I ever wanted to forget.
I did not finish this book. While I appreciate the offer to have the novel., I have stopped reading any romance novels that stray more into erotica.
DNF
I usually am able to continue reading a book even when I do not enjoy it. But this was not the case. I just could not get into the story. It jumped all over the place. There seems to be no rhyme or rhythm to the story. The blurb to the book sounded amazing and I do believe the book would be if it was plotted out with a timeline and stuck to it.
a fair read. I loved Miles but questions some of Adelia actions. I doubt if I will read the second book in this series.
A contemporary, erotic and mystery novel.
After the loss of her parents, Adelia needs a new redirection in her life, and for that, she focuses on her career as an equestrian champion.
She is introduced to a charming man, Miles Bremen, an investor, who soon shows Adelia that she is the right woman for him.
The two "copulate like rabbits" and Adelia finds herself passionately in love, accepting all the plans suggested by Miles.
But the reader discovers that there's more than a torrid love affair, there is a plan behind all this, and everything is orchestrated by Miles's sister, Karolin.
If the reader thought that Miles is all innocent in the situation you're wrong, and that is what makes the book almost a psychological terror.
