Being a library director, I like reading/listening to books about leadership. This book had quite a few good nuggets of information.

Here are a few of my favorite bits of wisdom:

All leaders carry a unique burden. They are guardians, protectors, providers, judges, helpers, servants, counselors and friends.

…undoing bad habits is sometimes as important as building new habits

Will this make me the best version of myself or a worse version?

Setting order in your life by way of routine has a dramatically generalizing impact. When you set a specific time each day for exercise, study, prayer or the like. You begin fortifying the characteristics that ground you when tempted.

Just say less more often.

Biting your tongue. You should only speak if you have something to add. So, say less more often.

Delegate things that can easily be done by someone else.

Action is required to get results.

We use one task as an excuse for not doing another one.
