I really loved the sound of this book when ai read the synopsis.
Unfortunately though it was not for me. All teb characters were truly awful and the pacing was just so slow and repetitive at times.
Thanks for the chance to read this, just didn't work for me

Despite all the characters being pretty horrible people, this is a story which has plenty of action and twists. I really enjoyed the final unravelling of the plot and thought it was well paced and full of interesting characters.

this is a great book! It is so thrilling, had so much suspense and build up. It was a great psychological thriller, and it kept me in the edge of my seat the whole read! i liked the way it was written, and it was enjoyable!!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complimentary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

Everyone knows Gloria White. Or at least they think they do. She’s on your TV screen every morning. Her brand is elegance, charm and power. You wouldn’t believe the things she did to reach the top! Wow! This was definitely a shocking stepford farmhouse wives type read! It had great suspense, murder, dark family secrets, gaslighting, abuse, and some shocking and crazy twists and turns! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

The Famous by Rachel Lynch is an intriguing exploration of the dark side of fame and ambition, but it doesn’t quite reach its full potential. The story follows three women caught in a web of secrets, lies, and betrayal within the cutthroat world of celebrity culture. While the premise is compelling, the execution occasionally falters, leaving parts of the book feeling uneven.
The characters are well-drawn, with complex backstories and motivations, but they don’t always feel fully realized. At times, their actions seem driven more by the needs of the plot than by genuine development, which makes it harder to connect with them on an emotional level. That said, Lynch’s portrayal of the pressures and pitfalls of modern fame is sharp and insightful, adding depth and relevance to the narrative.
The pacing is a mixed bag—while the opening and closing sections are gripping, the middle drags with repetitive moments that slow the momentum. The twists, while surprising, sometimes feel forced rather than organic. Despite these issues, The Famous is still an enjoyable read, especially for those interested in the intersection of celebrity and mystery. A solid 3 stars—a good book with flashes of brilliance, but it doesn’t quite live up to its promise.

The Famous by Rachel Lynch
I love the Kelly Porter books and have recommended to lots of friends who have also enjoyed them.
I was a little disappointed in this one and couldn't quite take to the characters but this could be the author's intent .
It started a little slow and the second part of the book was better than the first half .

I have read Rachel’s Kelly Porter series and loved it so I was super excited to read The Famous. There were some fairly unlikeable characters, spoilt and egocentric, basically living their lives and not really caring who they hurt . The storyline was interesting, I did however enjoy the second half of the book more as it had a faster pace and was much more enjoyable. I really like Rachel’s style of writing, the book kept me entertained and engaged the whole way through. Recommended!

I thought this book would be an exciting read and that I would see a behind the scenes drama of TV personalites.
I could get past the first few pages and I did not finish ..I'm sure another reader will love it but it wasn't my read for now

I cannot say i was gripped.
The characters were all pretty awful and the storyline was just ok.
I struggled through until the end.
Sorry for the negative review but this was just an ok read for me.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

Rounding up to 3 🌟
I wish I'd liked any of the characters enough to care what was happening to them.
They were spoilt, rude and generally not people I'd willingly spend time with.
The plot didn't hold many surprises for me, but the second half was definitely better in terms of action and storyline.
