This was a sweet story of Tabitha and Spencer who have inherited a run down diner from his grandparents. They were childhood sweethearts who need to work together to sell the diner in three months. There are lots of underlying feelings that need to be resolved and lots of misunderstandings and confusion. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.

Tabitha is excited when she inherits a restaurant but disappointment surfaces when she realizes she has a partner. Her new partner happens to be Spencer, her first love and the man who broke her heart. The two must figure out what they want to do with the restaurant together. Tabitha wants to keep it and make a go of things while Spencer just wants to sell. While fixing the place up old feels resurface can the two work together to reach a common goal or will past hurts win in the end?

A quick sweet read. A second chance at love complete with the misconstrued gestures and miscommunication. Spencer and Tabitha definitely have the hard time expressing their feelings and communicating down, and it shows that it does take a bit to be able to trust again. When Spencer's grandparents leave them both half their diner in the will they have to learn just that. I did have a want for more, the story pretty much jumped straight into it and I felt it could have used a little more history and backstory.

Second chance romance, but could they be together again?
I'm missing some parts in the story, maybe it should be a little bit longer.
But it is cute and has some special moments.

Have fun reading!

Susan is such a dependable author. i feel so safe when i get pick up one of her books. which isnt often enough and i fear the day will come one day when ive run out of hers to read! she really has honed her book writing "fit" to perfection.
i knew id love this one just as much as the others and was quickly proved right from the opening page.
tabitha is struggling to know what she "really" wants to do with her life. she cant seem to find what others have, to find "her role, herthing" and so she just feels a bit unsettled at everything. then she finds out she has inherited a restaurant....
haha not that simple. of course on the other end of this gift lies the man who owns the other half! her lost and left love. or shoud i say the man that broke her heart when he left her. and here starts the story of working together and mending hearts. and learning to love again. could that be possible? or will Tabitha just be too scared of him breaking her heart again when he leaves. as he doesnt want to keep the restaurant does he. he wants to sell and move on. so will he change his mind? will she? or will they change eachother and their futures become something different and better if it together...
