I think anyone who wanted to love Addie LaRue but found it to be lacking in plot, will love this book!
This book was everything I wanted out of Addie LaRue. It was interesting and I loved that we got many other lives as the story untold.
Overall the story was told very well, the one thing I feel was missing was the love story seemed lacking in a way, mainy in the end when the story was unfolding.
But a solid 4.5 star read for me and I can definitely see myself rereading this in the future.
The audiobook narration was done well and kept me hooked.

Oh, I loved this one. It was lyrical and sweeping, reminding me of ADDIE LARUE or TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE. I really enjoyed all of the glimpses of other times in history and liked the grouchy mmc. I did not expect the twist towards the end. Highly recommended. Really enjoyed this one and will be recommending it to friends--perhaps a top read for 2025.

Wow! What a beautiful, unique story! I don’t think I’ve ever read anything like this before. The love story in this book spans many lifetimes, yet each one still packs an emotional punch. My personal favorite chapters are the Wales ones. I don’t want to say too much to spoil anything, but be prepared for a beautiful, heartbreaking, thrilling story about two people finding each other in every lifetime. Also, the audio was fantastic.

I am grateful to NetGalley and Macmillian Audio for the opportunity to listen to this advance audio copy.

A thousand lives lived, countless memories shared, and endless “I love you’s” whispered between two immortal souls tethered together through time. This is such a uniquely written story with many beautiful elements. The main characters are deeply complex and the different time eras and cultures are richly described throughout the book. The narrator did a wonderful job capturing what I imagined the main character’s voice and emotions to be.
I really wanted to love this book more than I did… I was totally thrown off by the last 30% of the book where it takes on a bizarre twist that just didn’t feel like it belonged to the same storyline anymore and the ending fell a little flat from there.

I would give the story 3⭐️ and the narration 4⭐️

. I loved this book. It definitely has feels of The Invisible Life of Addie la Rue in it, but different. Evelyn and Arden are tied together throughout time. They love each other in every lifetime. But they also kill each other in every single lifetime. Evelyn can remember every lifetime and this time, she wants to live. She wants to save her sister. How can she stay away from Arden before he finds her this time around? This book jumps from the current timeline of 2022 where Evelyn is living and trying to save her sister and other lifetimes where she lived and met Arden and they fell in love and then died. This is a beautiful story of what a person would do for love, all different kinds of kinds of love.

I absolutely devoured this audiobook. The narrator was *chefs kiss* perfect. An absolute 5 star read.

I was attracted to this story based on the cover alone. The description pulled me in further. A heartbreaking love story that will take weeks to get over.

Synopsis: Imagine knowing you are set to die at the hands of your soul mate no matter what life you’re living.

I ✨100%✨ recommend this book!

What is the meaning of life when you know it is so fleeting? Is it worth it to love when you know it will always end? What would you do, to save yourself? To live?

They've loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They've killed each other in every one.

Evelyn (Eve-lynn) has never lived past the age of eighteen, though she's lived hundreds of lifetimes. Always on or before her birthday, her ethereal rival, Arden, finds her and kills her, ending both of their current lifetimes. Moments later, they reincarnate in other bodies, in another part of the world. It happens again and again and it hurts every time. With only fuzzy memories of her many pasts, Evelyn wants, finally, to understand why Arden is so determined to kill her in every lifetime so she can finally put an end to it and just once, grow up.

Arden has gotten very good at disguising themselves, so Evelyn studies every face, every glance, every person near her age she can in hopes to find them before it's too late. And this time? She's determined to beg at least a few more days. Her beloved sister is dying - she needs a bone marrow transplant from Evelyn, who is her only match. She may have lived a thousand lifetimes, but she's loved her family in every one, and she won't let her die. She's the only one who can save her.

This story is layered in complexity and meaning and has such a compelling premise. A tagline this good makes you want to find out more, and its design keeps you turning pages. We get to experience the few memories Evelyn has of her past lives, the pieces she's sorting through to find clues as to Arden's motivations to kill her, no matter what. Even in lifetimes they've been desperately in love, Arden will not let her live past their birthday. The contrast between the intrinsic love and the violence of murder is fascinating. As far as they know, Evelyn and Arden are the only ones in such a situation, reincarnating and remembering their past lives. It is just the two of them, in all their infinite fates.

Our Infinite Fates has been compared to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab, one of my favorites, and I would agree. Both novels have the mercurial factor of an outside, unknown force just beyond their understanding pulling invisible strings. They're both written by very skilled authors. I can only imagine how difficult it must be to weave a tale this intricate and vast. And both have endings that are just *chef's kiss*

Absolutely five stars from me. Though I was gifted the audiobook (the narrator was amazing), I've preordered the hardcover as well because I'll be reading this again, no question!

I actually have already read this book in print, but selfishly wanted to try the audiobook as I’m trying to get more into audio for fiction and I knew I loved this book. This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time, with the most perfect ending. I know I will read/listen to this many many times over the years, it’s one that pulls on your heartstrings even when you know the outcome. Audio specific, this narrator’s voice is so soothing, it was really lovely to listen to.

I’m so sad I didn’t connect with this one the way I wanted to. The book isn’t confusing but the overlap in timelines and them killing each other in every single lifetime got over 1000 years without us knowing why until the very end left me just so bored. I wasn’t on the edge of my seat waiting to find out why they have to kill each other. I was rolling my eyes at the end of each chapter because I was confused why we weren’t being told why and then once we were told why I was left feeling 🤨. The reasoning was strange for me and out of left field lol. Which is what the author probably wanted but it really did nothing for me.

HOWEVER, maybe if you’re a fan of stories like Addie La Rue (not my usual genre) you might really enjoy this one! I think sadly I thought it was for me when it actually wasn’t.

“I love you, and I have loved you, and I will love you.”
A unique story with “Addie Larue” vibes that asks the question how can the one fated to kill you be the ones that makes you feel so alive? Beautiful writing. Perfectly executed switches in timeline throughout. Ah was such an enjoyable one!!
Thanks to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for a copy of this audiobook!

“I love you, I have loved you, and I will love you”

I’m not 100% sure what I was expecting but that blew it out of the water for me. This is a love story that follows people who love and hate and befriend eachother in every life for centuries, but also kill eachother in each one by their 18th birthday. Their souls tied together infinitely.

My audiobook cut out twice for a couple seconds each time. I’m not sure if this is something that will happen in the official release but hopefully not. I also think that while the narrator did a PHENOMENAL job I would have preferred this as a book either ebook or physical.

4.75⭐️ will read again in word format so this may change to a 5 later on!

Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan audio for the opportunity to review this audiobook. I also want to say a big thank you to the narrator Sofia Oxenham for doing such a great narration. And the absolute most to the author Laura Steven, this was fantastic and I hope both sides of your pillow are always cold.

Absolutely loved this book! I adored the pacing, the varied lives, the stories, the hardships and wins, the absolute beauty of it all. Man, I just, adored it.

**for the first time ever, i actually didn't enjoy the audiobook. i didn't think the narrator added any emotion to the story. their voice fell flat throughout the entire story and made no emphasis to anything, which made it feel like there was no sense of urgency in a story with such high stakes. i think i might have had a better experience had i read this physically instead of listening!**

i can definitely see this being the YA hit for this year - it has so many aspects to it that everyone loves. two fated souls destined to kill each other in every lifetime? such a good premise. honestly i wish it was adult because there was a lot about the book i wanted it to expand on!

we were told over and over that evelyn and arden love each other in a deep way that only soulmates can but...we're never shown it. they have such a palpable connection that draws them together in every lifetime yet i never felt truly felt that. we follow their past lives and how their momentous deaths unfolded in those years but there wasn't enough developed within each timeline to really portray how their love grew over the centuries. in the present day, their story felt overshadowed by their determination to save evelyn's dying sister.

the pacing was too slow for me. there were moments where i lost interest, especially with the flashbacks because it felt repetitive just listening about them loving each other and killing each other over and over and over again with no real progress. the writing was great, though at times it leaned a bit towards a more flowery and lyrical prose that i didn't think truly fit the overall ambiance of the story. that was a more of a me thing.

and finally the reveal. when the truth about their curse finally came out i was...underwhelmed? it felt anticlimactic considering it didn't come until about 82% into the book. all of this slow set up for....that??? idk. i wasn't impressed.

overall, i think this will resonate with a lot of people as i said, it has plenty of elements that a mass majority of ya readers will enjoy. wasn't for me, but i think it was a fun and interesting read! certainly different than a lot of "romantasy" books i've read recently.

4.5 stars! (Rounded up for Goodreads) this was a heartbreakingly beautiful story. The prose in this book made me think back on the love I carry for The Invisible Life of Addie Larue. I personally try not to compare books, however Our Infinite Fates gave me that heartbreaking story I’ve yearned for.

This book is definitely a slow burn with alternating chapters of both the present, of Evelyn trying to save her sister’s life before her inevitable murder, and of her past lives. The only reason why this wasn’t a five star read is actually because I wish we had gotten more of their past lives. Each life they lived was its own journey and I wanted to read more.

This story is beautiful and I highly recommend picking it up, especially if you’re a fan of Addie Larue. I also want to note that even though this book is a YA I never felt like it was other than the ages of the characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for an early copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I absolutely loved the audiobook book and the narrator, however I did notice that there were a couple of moments where the audio would cut out and skip. If I rewinded back it would happen at the same exact time. There was only 2-3 moments in the entire audiobook where this happened.

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Our Infinite Fates is a fascinating, creative YA fantasy with a love story and adventure.

This was one of my most anticipated reads, but unfortunately, it fell flat. The premise was fantastic, but the execution was not for me. I found it challenging to connect to the main character because the narration constantly bounced between the main setting in 2022 and other settings in her past lives. I had hoped for more character development not only for her 2022 life but also for her past lives. Some of the lines and dialogue also felt silly or out of place.

Although woven throughout the book, the romance and love story did not feel very strong or prominent until the ending. I love historical fantasy and traveling back in time when I read, but I craved more development of the historical places and times visited in OIF. I would have loved to experience and connect to the places instead of briefly journeying to them for several minutes before returning to 2022. The world-building of the places felt simple and underdeveloped, and I was hoping for more historical details. The pacing felt off: the middle and ending felt slow while the end felt fast. I also desired a longer story that would allow me to connect with Evelyn and her past lives.

I was pleased and interested in the reveals and journey at the end, although it sometimes felt sudden and chaotic. The final few chapters held the tenderness and beautiful prose I’d craved throughout the story. Even though OIF did not work for me, I would be interested in reading other works by Laura Steven.

Sofia Oxenham was a wonderful narrator, although some of her accents felt off for the characters. Although it is not one of my all-time favorites, I enjoyed the audiobook.

Thank you to the publisher for the free ALC.

This book destroyed me.... I cannot handle how this made me feel. The narrator killed it as always but my problem is the ending wasn't as impact full as I hoped...

This was amazing. The concept sounded amazing but I wasn't ready for how much I would love this book. Normally when books say they are a blend of a few books I don't believe them. This one was spot on. It's got elements from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and This is How You Lose the Time War. I loved they layout of the book as well. Not only are you experiencing the story as it unfolds you go back to Evelyn and Arden's past lives. It really makes the story so much more compelling. For the audio I thought Sofia Oxenham did very well. She did the voices very well. This is already a top book of the year for me.

"I love you. I have loved you. I will love you."

I personally love stories that deal with time and inescapable fate. This story had very similar vibes to A Short Walk Through a Wide World, The Invisible Life of Addie Larue, and The Hundred Loves of Juliet.

The story follows our main protagonist Evelyn who had never lived to reach her 18th birthday. It is 2022 but she has lived hundreds of lives- always trying to stay one step ahead of her killer Arden, who she can never escape from. Evelyn and Arden are tethered together where neither can live while the other survives and Evelyn has desparately tried to recall through all of her lives (key chapters in the book) why she is fated to be killed on the eve of her 18th birthday by the one she loves the most.

Arden is your typical grey figure- he is grumpy, closed off, serious with also such an endearing heart.

Evelyn loves and trusts others to a fault, often putting the needs of others above her own.

In a cat and mouse kind of a story, it was written so well and I thought the time jumps easy to follow for being an audiobook.

I adored the use of anonymous poetry throughout this book and I almost wish I had a physical copy of this instead of the audio just so I could annotate and highlight (although the audiobook was so well done!) After a while I did wish the story moved a bit faster, I felt like there was a lot of repetition with even some of the flashbacks and sometimes it was overly violent for people who were supposed to love each other. I felt more detail could have been added to the ending as well- but for a stand alone this was great!

A huge thank you to NetGalley and to Macmillan audio for the arc of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

This says it is YA but I would lump it up for being more 16+ (there are some detailed kissing scenes but overall really good), some language.

Our infinite fates

Loved loved loved !! If you enjoyed Addie La Rue, definitely add to your TBR.

Evelyn’s soul is tethered to Arden for eternity, and he continues to murder her before her 18th birthday. Sometimes disguised as a friend, sometimes a lover. She remembers every life she has lived and is done running and killing. She’s living a life now that she loves and doesn’t want to leave, but will Arden let her escape? Her newest sister’s life also depends on her loving, putting much more at stake. What will it take to escape Arden? Will she have what it takes to let him go?

Can’t say much without spoiling but this was so beautiful!!

Narration was excellent ! I did get a little lost from the timeline with the audiobook and the current storyline vs past lives / deaths.

Received ALC access through Libro.fm and NetGalley. Publication date 3/4/25!

I just shredded through this ARC in four hours flat and cannot stop crying. This is Divine Rivals and Belladonna and the Invisible Life of Addie La Rue and Circe and just every bit of time melding, heart shattering torture it could possibly be… all wrapped up with a nice big beautiful existential crisis of a bow. To love is to feel pain wholly and without hesitation. Over and over and over again.

The structure of this is genuinely beautiful. It carries such a sense of fantasy novel style weight-of-the-world gravitas from the flashbacks into what could easily be mundane in an urban present-day setting. The author’s narrative of a soul fated to relive their first eighteen years through hundreds of lifetimes only to die at the hands of their beloved cuts so deeply. Every. Single. Time. 😭

It has a level of innocence to it that’s borderline unfathomable given the number of lifetimes that are wrought with tragedy, and yet it delivers on that young love heartbreak in such droves. The plot does become a bit repetitive but the prose is beautiful and as the audiobook specifically is stunning. The narrator does a wonderful job with this one.

4.5 stars rounded up, definitely going to go continue crying. 🥲✌🏻

Thank you SO much to the author, Macmillan Audio, and NetGalley for the spectacular ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
