I chose this book to read because the title and cover gave a cozy vibe, but I ended being captivated by the storyline instead. It's cozy, but it has a very realistic vibe. The characters have a well written development and once your submerged in the story it's hard to stop until you finish it! If you like a cute, spunky slice of life romcom this is the book for you!

This book was such a fun, short read. It left me wanting more! It is funny, romantic, emotional, sad, and full of hope. It is a medium pace read with likable characters! It is perfect for the Fall season, or any season really! It also comes with some spice to it! It is a small town romance with a grumpy and sunshine trope! The author did a great job at keeping me engaged throughout the entire book!
It is about a girl named Sadie Fox who goes back to her hometown to take care of her Dad’s pumpkin patch. She would only go during summertime to grow a huge pumpkin, that was the agreement her and her father had made. However, when she gets there, she discovers the patch is completely destroyed. Then comes along a lovable neighbor, named Josh Thatcher. He is all sunshine, while she is the exact opposite. Feelings start happening between them as this cute pumpkin story unfolds! I absolutely adored the main characters in this book! Be sure to check out the content warnings. I give this book a solid 4 out of 5 pumpkins/stars!
Thank you to NetGalley, author Isabelle Popp and Afterglow Books by Harlequin for this digital advanced reader’s copy in exchange for my honest review! All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Let's Give 'Em Pumpkin to Talk About is expected to be published on August 26, 2025!

Let’s Give ’Em Pumpkin to Talk About is a surprisingly heartfelt, fast-paced read that captures the essence of small-town life and the quiet complexities of human connection. What sets this book apart is how quickly it draws you in.
The story moves at a pace that makes it hard to put down. The emotional beats land well, and there’s a sincerity to the relationships—both romantic and otherwise—that makes you care about what happens next. The author does a great job balancing charm with substance, and even the lighter moments carry emotional weight.
This isn’t just a seasonal comfort read—it’s a story about second chances, vulnerability, and finding meaning in unexpected places. If you're looking for something that’s warm yet grounded, easy to get into but hard to forget, this book is worth picking up.

I’ve never been happier to have grossly underestimated a novel. It’s something I’d usually be ashamed of — I pride myself on not judging a book by its cover, but I supposed I’ve grown a bit jaded with my copious consumption of stories. Every day, it gets harder to intuit a good book off the rip — description & cover alone. Sometimes I’m completely blindsided; now, in increasingly unpredictable ways.
However, I do enjoy being surprised by this novel. Isabelle Popp has a delightfully honest way of phrasing reality — that’s as true as it is entertaining. There’s an undercurrent of humor running throughout the entire story; there’s also well written attraction & personal growth. The way we make relationships work in the gaps between those involved, and the self-blooming that results from the vulnerability this fosters.
I really enjoyed reading this book, and I am ready to read anything else Popp releases into the world.

I enjoyed this book, I love small town romances and this was such a perfect read and i couldn’t put it down. I want to thank netgalley for allowing me to read this book. I can’t wait to add it to my shelf, it has everything you could want in a mild spicy small town rom-com. Not many books have plus size fmc’s and i believe that made this book more interesting to me to finally have a character you know people can connect with

I think that this one is giving all of the fall vibes (which is my favorite). I am so glad that I got to read this one early. Thank you!

Sadie had no plans to return to Pea Blossom, Indiana. But when her dad needs her to care for his beloved giant pumpkins in his absence, she does. When she gets there, she finds the pumpkin patch demolished by her high school boyfriend’s pigs, She strikes up an alliance with the friendly and handsome pumpkin growing neighbor who helps her realize where she truly belongs.
Love Josh, his earnestness, and how sweet he and Sadie are together.

Thank you to Harlequin - Romance | Afterglow Books by Harlequin and NetGalley for providing an eARC for a honest review.. This will be a good read for fall , reading it in Florida spring prob wasn’t the best idea it was hard for me to get into

What a delightful grumpy/sunshine romance. Great for fans of Olivia Dade - not in a “they both have fat protagonists” way but in a general vibe, character connection, joy from beginning to end kind of way. Come for the romance, stay for the small town charm, pumpkins, and fiber arts. A delight from beginning to end.

A perfect feel-good romance, especially if you like rivals to lovers and black cat x golden retriever tropes.
I loved Sadie and Josh. They were such well-rounded characters. They felt like real people. I liked that they had deep conversations and connected on a deeper level than just attraction. Their banter and sexual tension was also really good. The romance here was well developed and certainly swoon worthy.
The small town was adorable and had the perfect Fall vibes.
A very enjoyable romance!

This was such a cute book! Immaculate Fall vibes!
Cute banter and adorable romance. I was giggling and kicking my feet throughout. A must read new rom com of the year!!!

It's gonna be perfect for fall! It was cute and cozy. I really like the friendship between the fmc and mmc, it really tied it together.

Author Isabelle Popp wrote a sexy garden themed masterpiece. This book is exactly what I want when reading contemporary romance stories. Character growth amid sweaty intimate moments that make my heart race in the best ways. Thoroughly enjoyed!

The book started out good, but the ending kinda dragged
Josh kinda gave off weird vibes
Thanks net galley & harleequin books for letting me read this book .

Thank you to NetGalley, Isabelle Popp, and Harlequin -Romance for allowing me access to enjoy this e-arc!
I was so excited to read this small-town story with a plus-sized FMC and it did not disappoint whatsoever. The main characters (Josh and Sadie) had such amazing chemistry and the black cat/golden retriever dynamic between them worked so well. I loved the inclusion of deeper conversations and talks about mental health and therapy. This always gives characters more depth and personality and makes them so much more relatable. The supporting characters also added wonderful dimension to the story, and I wouldn’t mind seeing a spin-off story of perhaps Grace’s new life. She deserves her own Josh.
I wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for a mildly spicy, small town, opposites-attract rom-com to pick up Let’s Give ‘Em Pumpkin to Talk About.

This is a very cute and cozy read with all the autumn vibes! The banter between the main characters was spot on! I will be re-reading this come fall.

Black cat/golden retriever. Small town in autumn vibes. Sweet (and steamy!) romance.
Both Sadie and Josh have past issues pop up that they need to work through, but I liked the competitive nature of their friendship. Also liked the dynamic with Grace, PJ, and other side characters. Could see this spinning into a series of at least one more book.
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Let’s Give ‘Em Pumpkin to Talk About to come out August 26, 2025.

This was such a fun read that I can't wait to go back into when fall comes around!
I absolutely love Sadie's personality and the banter between MC's. You don't see many books lately with a plus size FMC and I love when I find ones that are close to my own size to help relate to the characters even more. I've never read anything that has a pumpkin patch scenario and honestly we need more because it was such a breath of fresh air.

It’s a bit early for fall but this is definitely something to remember when the leaves start to change colors 🍁
I had a super fun time reading this one. The characters were so likable and I love when the MMC is a complete ray of sunshine. The tension between Sadie and Josh was written so well I almost wish it had gone on longer, but after they got back together it was the sweetest thing.
I love how they both supported each other through and how the author created side characters that were well rounded and didn’t feel just tacked on. Plus, who doesn’t love pumpkins, plus size rep, and a good state fair debacle? 🎃
Thanks so much for @netgalley andgalley and @harlequinbooks for a copy 🥰

This is going to be a hit in the fall. I had fun reading it this winter. The characters were interesting and I liked how Popp wrote their story. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
