This was a pretty fun graphic novel to read. We saw this robot hero take on some strange looking foes, and beating them wasn’t as simple as it should have been. Along the way Dr. Light made them some new allies, which ended up not helping as much as he needed them to. Yet as this graphic novel neared the end it became apparent these adventures are far from being over.

Little Mega Man Volume 1 is definitely a wild ride! The art is undeniably cute, with vibrant, almost chibi-like character designs that add a whimsical charm to the whole story. The zany and humorous moments really shine, providing plenty of fun for those who enjoy light-hearted, quirky manga. There's a lot of personality in the artwork, making the characters feel endearing even when the plot gets a little lost in the shuffle.
But the plot....well the plot is.....a plot? LOL It feels scattered, with little sense of direction at times. You’d think the plot would take a moment to breathe, but it’s all go-go-go without much explanation.
Overall, it's a fun and chaotic read if you’re not expecting a deep, coherent storyline. It's the kind of manga you can just enjoy for the humor and cute art without worrying too much about plot holes or disjointed pacing. A solid 3 out of 5. Weird and fun is the best way to describe this one.

Did you need a story of young Mega Man figuring things out and getting into shenanigans? This is a collection of moments in Mega Man's early life with all the characters you come to expect with this beloved franchise. I think that the humor is for younger audiences and some of the gags didn't quite land with me but the illustrations are high quality and had me continuing to flip through. I liked the little pixel art moments.
Even though we have all of our favorite franchise characters joining us, some of them don't quite act how you would expect and storylines in this book don't necessarily seem like they have a large amount of weight in the larger scheme of the franchise story. I still think it is a fun book, and I think this will really draw in younger audiences to the world of Mega Man.
Thank you to NetGalley and Udon Entertainment for providing this copy for review.

Thank you to Udon Entertainment and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this manga. This series is interesting but for me personally, I would have to add this to my teenage students list of reads if they are interested in Megaman. There were some awkward moments in the plot due to the some of the choppy episodic chapters and some of the jokes did not land for me personally. However, I think that for people who enjoy Megaman as a whole should check it out. 4 out of 5 stars.

Definitely not what I was expecting, maybe that’s on me for not vetting the book properly. Little Mega Man is very slapsticky, layered out in micro chapters, feeling like a sketch comedy program. The aim of humor angling towards the absurdity/ incompetence of certain characters, and some awkward masochistic interactions. Feels like satire, but I’ve always had a difficult time defining/ recognizing satire.
The artwork is absolutely gorgeous and I feel that this will appeal to a wide manga audience. I love that little blue bomber.
Thank you for the opportunity.

Not exactly what I was expecting from a Mega Man manga. Overall, it is very much worth reading. Sometimes the humor can go a bit sideways, but it doesn't detract from the experience too much. I think the biggest let down is the chapter sizes which make the volume seem like one running joke after another.

Little Mega Man is a classic icon and loved by so many. In this book you get to enjoy several adventures in the true comic style. This was the first time my son was seeing the real story style of a comic book and he loved it. It has the classic characters and is packed with action, adventure and plenty of surprises. My son is a huge fan of Mega Man and we were so excited that NetGalley and the publishers allowed us to enjoy this book. We can’t wait to add it to our home library. It is the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to comic books and manga style stories. A great way to encourage reading, especially with characters they know and love. Enjoy the adventures with your little one.

This is Volume 1 in the series and best for fans of the game.
This was an okay read and it had some funny moments. There was a lot of dialogue throughout which made it seem like it was a long manga. It will be interesting to see how the Mr Mega Man manga ties in with this.

Little Mega Man is exactly what it sounds like, short and silly scenarios involving Mega Man and company. And you know what? The jokes landed just fine. My personal favorites were along the lines of, "Organic Rush" i.e. he's just a regular dog now, and Proto Man only communicates via whistling. The humor very much is derived from knowledge of the game series, but it's still very approachable for newer fans, too, which is important. It made me laugh, good job!

Like a Mega Man themed fever dream. It's deeply weird, self aware, sometimes a little on the nose, every so often creepy...and did I mention DEEPLY WEIRD?
I doubt I'll look at Rush the same way again.
