Even more fabulous than the first one! Lived all the designer clothing and accessories. I can’t wait to read the next one. Thanks NetGallery!

The way it continues so wholesome just got my heart beating a bit faster, wanting to reread and place the scenes into a memory which does not fade.
It is a wonderful continuation.

This volume was a nice companion to the first. The writing style of disjointed scenes with beautiful art work and colourful pages continues and this volume explored the relationship of these two characters outside the setting of their work at the police station. At the end the author explains how these characters and the short scenes were previously posted in installments on social media before being compiled into these volumes and that offered clarification and insight into the differences between this and a traditional manga.
The art style is beautiful and in between the scenes there is additional art in the style of flapper women and vintage women's fashion sketches.

The first book felt so slow and confusing but book two was well put together. It felt as though the writer got more comfortable the more they kept writing and I’m glad. Although this book was just as slow as book one I felt as though it was much more enjoyable. The banter was cute and you can tell they really do love each other’s company. He helps her to see the world through his eyes while she helps him see the world through her unique ways. I do plan on picking up volume 3 when I can and I will recommend this to others who like slow burn and a good story. Overall I gave this one a 3.75/5 stars.

Such a cute and cozy manga! Even if the authors intentions with the main couple shines — meaning that the line between friendship and romance is quite blurred. In many ways it shouldn’t work but it does! I like the ambiguity of the relationship, and I appreciate the slife-of-life essence it expresses.

I think most of what I said in my previous review of Veil Volume 2 applies here so I'm copying that. I have a few more comments though.
There's a few quotes I think are PERFECT from the authors afterward that I'd like to add here.
"There's this warmth between them that can't quite be called friendship or love" and "I hope you keep watching over their curious conversation and relationship". I feel like these two quotes sum up the manga perfectly. You're watching over these two people be warm together in many different ways. And I love it, I want to continue doing it. I hope more volumes end up being published because this manga and these characters deserve it.
Veil Volume 2 we continue to follow Alexander and Emma. Through short, random glimpses of their everyday lives we continue to learn more and more about them.
This manga is perfect and groundbreaking in my opinion. Let me talk about the best part of this manga. The art style. Reminiscent of old school vogue fashion illustrations, if this story was horrible it would be well worth a purchase purely for the drawings. Luckily, the plot is just as good. These characters are crafted with such utter tenderness.
The next best thing? The characters themselves. While the story is more of a series than a serial (glimpses of their lives, each short chapter having it's own seeming menial narrative) which some people might not like, I LOVE. It really feels like catching a glimpse of these two people falling more and more in love through small gestures. Him moving a table for her she can't see, her asking him to stop smoking. You watch these two people who met each other by chance express their newly budding love for each other in snapshots, stolen moment, and gentle gestures.
There's tenderness and heart-warming interactions in every small detail this author put into their work, from the art to the character.
This while being separated by beautiful art work and designs and little written stories? I don't think it could be any better. I will be purchasing a physical copy of this.

This second volume of Veil is even better than the first, the characters are more fleshed out and we have some sketches between the comics. I'm still shocked at how good the drawings are, with such clean lines Kotteri dresses her characters with good shapes and textures. I like the relationship between she and him and the sensuality of it all.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Udon Entertainment for accepting my request for an ACR of this book!
“Him and her. Neither of them had names in the
beginning-they took shape as "a man and a woman, coworkers in black coats, together, the woman has her eyes closed".

I will say, I feel I’m still missing the characters backgrounds, but I am always along for the ride of going through the color images in between the chapters, because omg. They are stunning. The romance in the manga makes it have a medium pace but nonetheless it was a very quick and easy read.

After falling in love with the first volume of Veil, continuing with the second only reaffirmed how special this series is. I devoured it in a day. The second volume delves even deeper into that unique connection between him and her, and I was fascinated by how the author’s notes confirmed what I had already been sensing: a relationship that doesn’t fit into the typical molds of romance or friendship.
And honestly, I love it. I adore that space between “not romance” and “not friendship.” I feel it makes it extremely special. There are no labels, no need to explain everything. The moments between them are intimate, delicate, and filled with emotions that transcend words. Every gesture, every glance, and even the silences say so much that it’s impossible not to feel the depth of their connection. It genuinely became one of my favorite mangas.
One thing that completely shocked me was realizing a detail I missed in the first volume. I had thought that some black panels were an error in the English edition, but as I continued reading, I realized they represent her perspective. This left me speechless. It’s such a simple detail, but it adds so much to the story.
Truly, every page is a work of art. I would love to know more about the author; it’s clear from this work that they have a great love for art and fashion. The translation work also deserves praise again, they’re doing an excellent job.
I’m very happy to have read both volumes, and I’m eagerly awaiting what comes next. Please read it.
Thank you, NetGalley and UDON Entertainment, for the advanced copy.

Veil volume two is the intriguing continuation of our protagonists who met each other by chance yet their closeness grows with each conversation.
This volume was even more beautiful and delightful than the first one. Although I enjoyed both equally, this one was truly revealing considering there were so many moments that made me giggle and swoon. I loved their dialogues, witty and longing. Those subtle touches and hints of wanting something more..... Ahhhh!!! It's literally so amazing.
I'm obsessed with these two characters and I am pretty sure that other readers from all over the globe will absolutely fall in love with them. I am eagerly waiting for the next volumes.
I'd highly recommend this manga. Go for it.

Volume two of Veil has a more romantic tone than the first, but still doesn't define their relationship in any certain terms. I found this volume softer than the first with scenes that deepened the characters more and told you more about their personalities. I love how slow and relaxing this manga feels. I think it will easily be a comfort read for many people.
Thank you to Udon Entertainment and Netgalley for the ARC.

The sequel in the sweet and beautiful story of two people and their relationship as they live their lives in the city. He's a police officer and she's a runaway heiress. They're neighbors, friends, and possibly something more. The book is so beautifully illustrated and every page is a delight. The relationship is one I love seeing grow and the dialogue is just so well done. I would highly recommend this series!!!

*Thanks Netgalley and Udon Entertainment for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

You really start to see the relationship blossom slowly in this volume through the little snippets of daily life and the conversations they have. This type of storytelling is a breath of fresh air and leaves me wanting more as soon as I'm done. The artwork is still absolutely stunning.

The beautiful art style continues in this volume and its strengthend by a much clearer story than vol1.
With that said it's still rather avant-garde/ slice of life.
The stakes are low the visuals are pretty. This is a calming read.
