Im not usually a thriller reader, but this one had me on the edge of my seat!!!
Currently living in Florida this book was exciting. The city of Tampa was relevant especially with the timing of the Gasparilla festival which is currently going on. Great read. Had trouble putting it down. This was a 3 day read. Highly recommend.
Linda Hurtado Bond has wrapped up her "All the Girls" trilogy with another heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat thriller.
A sniper opens fire during a parade at Tampa's pirate-themed Gasparilla Festival. Reporter Mari Alvarez, broadcasting live atop one of the floats, knows she is to blame. Her old adversary, a killer everyone else believed to be dead, has literally put her in the line of fire.
The killer manipulates video and social media, twisting the truth to force Mari to play his deadly game. If she doesn't, she risks losing everything: her job, her reputation, and the lives of those she loves.
With the help of her trusted videographer, a police detective who's becoming more than a friend, and an overconfident state law enforcement officer she's attracted to, Mari races to unmask the phantom pirate before he carries out his revenge.
If you are a fan of twisty thrillers starring strong women, you will love this book.
From the beginning, All the Captive Girls has you at the edge of your seat as author Linda Hurtado Bond takes you straight to the action.
Mari Alvarez is a relatable character - she has flaws like us, gets scared, and has people she loves. The love she has for her family is what drew me in to the story. The development of the characters aside from Mari was also well-rounded. They all tied in to the plot nicely. I could not put the book down from the moment I started reading it.
Despite all the action, I love the element of romance mixed in. This made the story more compelling and not boring.
I definitely look forward to the next stories in the series. I highly recommend this book to readers who like crime-thrillers.

Reviewing ARC eBook
Thank you, Entangled Publishing, LLC for the copy of All the Captive Girls by Linda Hurtado Bond. I have read the other books in the series and I loved them, but somehow I loved this one even more! If you haven’t read the previous books, you can still read this one but the earlier books are great so you don’t want to miss them. The story starts off with a bang and doesn't let up until the end. I loved how current technology had a big presence, it was astounding how it was woven into the story. I also loved how I was suspicious of some characters for most of the book because they were so well-written. Mari continues to be an amazing main character and has come a long way since the first book. 5 stars
