The action kicked off on the very first page! When Tampa Bay crime reporter Mari Alvarez is contacted by a killer who is supposed to be dead, everyone she loves becomes his target. She's reporting live during the Bay's Gasparilla Childrenโs Parade when gunshots erupt. The killer craftily uses Mari's live broadcast from atop Channel 15โs parade float to force her into submission.
Readers will definitely feel immersed in the setting, in both the culture of Tampa and the parade itself. I found myself also be caught up in the action, which is so intense at times that I wanted to read faster, but I was so scared of skipping over a subtle clue!
I was suspicious of everyone, and I can't wait to see what the next installment has in store for us! Thank you to the author, Entangled Publishing, and Thriller Book Lovers: The Pulse for the early copy. This book is expected to publish February 17, 2025.

this was a solid read. kept me turning pages Mari deals with Ai and a new threat. a intresting game of cat and mouse.

Full disclosure, I did not know that this was the third book in a series when applying for the e-ARC. I am very appreciative to Entangled Publishing for the opportunity to read the e-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
The story picks up with reporter Mari Alvarez returning from saving her sister from a serial killer in Cuba. The killer is reported to be deceased; however, when someone begins attacking the public in Tampa during the Gasparilla Festival.... Mari believes he's alive and out to get her. The Phantom Pirate targets Mari and everyone she loves. Can she save her loved ones and herself? Or is the killer going to get away.... again?
The book was very well written, I definitely felt immersed in Tampa and the festival (which I had not heard of prior to starting the book). I do believe that had I read the other two books in the series, I would have enjoyed this more than I did. I did find Mari to be a little whiney and annoying during the first half of the book. Around the 50-55% of the book, she becomes the heroine I was wanting the whole time. The ending was a shock. I'm definitely planning to read the first two and come back for a re-read and give it a second chance.

This page-turning game of cat and mouse with Tampa's iconic Gasparilla as the backdrop had my heart racing from the first chapter. I loved it!

I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This had me on the edge of my seat, constantly wondering what would happen to Mari next. There were some plot lines that seemed a bit obvious but I still found myself turning page after page in my kindle to learn what happened next. Great story!

I love this series, no doubt. I was not disappointed at all in the 3rd chapter. What a ride! Mari navigates a new enemy in AI and wow. There are turns around every corner without losing herself and those tried and true reporter methods. With Tony of course along for the ride!

WOW! I started this series with book 2 (All the Missing Girls). I haven't gotten around to reading book 1 yet. After finishing book 3, I'm wondering if I'd understand the villian better if I'd read book 1?
Book 3 starts right where book 2 left off. Mari is a tv news reporter, interested in finding the truth in every story. She's used to being in control, taking care of everyone and always feeling like she has something to prove. When someone twists the truth and turns her life into utter chaos, she has no choice but to fight. She doesn't know who she can trust, causing her to second guess everything she thought she knew. I found myself eager and also hesitant to turn the page. I was anxious right along with her. I feel that Mari learned a lot about herself, her relationships and what drives her ambition during this story. There were moments where I gasped, rolled my eyes, yelled at the book and couldn't believe what I just read. I felt like I was watching an action movie and if I looked away, I'd miss an important clue. I was invested in Mari's journey and desperately wanted her to get her happily ever after. I don't typically read thrillers, but I really enjoyed this book.

Holy Crap!!
This is one action packed story from start to finish it keeps you on edge and wondering whatโs gonna happen next.
โMarisol, is the target of a diabolical serial killer. He wants to ruin her and everything she loves.
Donโt let the funnel cloud of your past trauma fuel todayโs actions. Be a hurricane.
This author sure does know how to grab your attention. I canโt wait to see what she comes up with next.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for this eARC!
Im not usually a thriller reader, but this one had me on the edge of my seat!!!

Currently living in Florida this book was exciting. The city of Tampa was relevant especially with the timing of the Gasparilla festival which is currently going on. Great read. Had trouble putting it down. This was a 3 day read. Highly recommend.

Linda Hurtado Bond has wrapped up her "All the Girls" trilogy with another heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat thriller.
A sniper opens fire during a parade at Tampa's pirate-themed Gasparilla Festival. Reporter Mari Alvarez, broadcasting live atop one of the floats, knows she is to blame. Her old adversary, a killer everyone else believed to be dead, has literally put her in the line of fire.
The killer manipulates video and social media, twisting the truth to force Mari to play his deadly game. If she doesn't, she risks losing everything: her job, her reputation, and the lives of those she loves.
With the help of her trusted videographer, a police detective who's becoming more than a friend, and an overconfident state law enforcement officer she's attracted to, Mari races to unmask the phantom pirate before he carries out his revenge.
If you are a fan of twisty thrillers starring strong women, you will love this book.

From the beginning, All the Captive Girls has you at the edge of your seat as author Linda Hurtado Bond takes you straight to the action.
Mari Alvarez is a relatable character - she has flaws like us, gets scared, and has people she loves. The love she has for her family is what drew me in to the story. The development of the characters aside from Mari was also well-rounded. They all tied in to the plot nicely. I could not put the book down from the moment I started reading it.
Despite all the action, I love the element of romance mixed in. This made the story more compelling and not boring.
I definitely look forward to the next stories in the series. I highly recommend this book to readers who like crime-thrillers.

Reviewing ARC eBook

Thank you, Entangled Publishing, LLC for the copy of All the Captive Girls by Linda Hurtado Bond. I have read the other books in the series and I loved them, but somehow I loved this one even more! If you havenโt read the previous books, you can still read this one but the earlier books are great so you donโt want to miss them. The story starts off with a bang and doesn't let up until the end. I loved how current technology had a big presence, it was astounding how it was woven into the story. I also loved how I was suspicious of some characters for most of the book because they were so well-written. Mari continues to be an amazing main character and has come a long way since the first book. 5 stars
