If you want a spicy workplace romance with tons of family drama & flirty banter, this is for you! Ezra and Dani are both divorce attorneys that are up against each other in court. I liked this dynamic so much better than typical workplace romances where they are up for the same job or the man is the woman’s boss at work. The characters & their families were well thought out. Ezra was down bad for Dani and had so much patience for her while she was in denial about her feelings. The chemistry & spice was 🔥🔥 It’s one of those addicting romances you can read in one sitting. 3.5 ⭐️ Thank you to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC!

This book starts off with an bang and doesn't end there. I was enamored with this book from the first page and I just loved our two main characters Danica and Ezra. The mutual pining between these two was top tier writing and I just could not get enough. I also loved the the courtroom scenes and the constant back and forth that Danica and Ezra have in their professional setting. I have always been a sucker for a good courtroom drama and the fact that this book has that drama mixed with romance was truly something I loved.

Danica and Ezra also have their own personal issues and storylines with their families that are explored in this book and I think that added to the love I had for these characters. I loved Ezra's character progression and I was so happy with the actions he took to help his mom. Also the fact that this man can cook just made him desirable on so many levels.

This was such a good read and I cannot wait to read more from Lana in the future. 4.5 stars!

Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group | Berkley for access to the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Nanny spoiled me for all of this author's other work. I love a workplace enemies romance and this started off pretty strong. But I got bogged down in the storyline regarding the parents and the lack of progression with the main characters. Thank you Netgalley for the advance copy.

I love Lana Ferguson's writing, she makes the story unfold itself and it just flows beautifully. From the strong beginning that hooks you in making you want more to the lovely ending that ties it all up. I love the fact that both Dani and Ezra help each other heal from their pasts. Plus who doesn't love a man who can cook?

Danica Pierces emotional baggage was exhausting and made me feel like I was slogging through this book rather than enjoying any minute of reading it.

It took me a little bit to get through this book , but once I got my flow with it , honestly it was very enjoyable..the nickname sour patch is the cutest thing ever and Ezra himself is the perfect book boyfriend, he’s caring and looked out for Dani throughout the entire thing!! The plot twist of Anton being Mr. Casaghri son was crazy and Bianca is a bad bitch!! Truthfully I loved every aspect of the ending even tho the beginning for me was rough start, I still give it a solid 4 stars !

As a girly studying law, this book was EXACTLY what I needed to romanticize my future.

Rivals in the court but sweethearts in the bed? Hell yeahhhh. Danica and Ezra were absolutely everything to me. From their top notch banter both in and out of the courtroom, to their delicious talks quite literally everywhere else. It was a perfect story from beginning to end.

‘Overruled’ will be sure to give you both sexiness with equal amount of courtroom drama thrown all in one. One minor critique of mine was I headed into this book thinking there was genuinely no love for each other and that there was going to be hate kissing. But it seems their attraction is undeniable and their love for each other was strong from the beginning. And I think that thought at first might throw people off in the synopsis.

REGARDLESS, it was still a 5 star read from me and i absolutely ate this book up. I’m ready FOR MORE BY LANA FERGUSON.

I have read a previous Lana Ferguson book and liked it as well, but this takes the prize, and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to read it. This book was beautiful and well-written. I loved the tension, banter, and the whole lawyer aspect of this story. As a romance reader, I'm a sucker for anything with lawyer characters and usually we get one but in this book we got two and it was perfection.

This was engaging right from the start and just kept your attention until the end. I loved the entire lawyer aspect, and I like how we got to read about a whole case where the main characters were on opposing sides and how the couple dealt with that inside and outside of the courtroom.

If you love enemies to lovers, enemies with benefits, and tension and spic,e this book is perfect for you! I absolutely loved this book, and I will definitely be reading more by Lana Ferugson in the future.

Huge thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion. All opinions are my own!

Lana Ferguson's collection is so fun! I really enjoyed the office vibes of this one. Definitely bringing this to my romance book club after it is released to the public.

OKAY. But why did I read this in less than a day??? I saw this a few times on NetGalley before I finally took the plunge and applied for it. I am so glad that I did because I loved everything about this book. This book comes out in July so I'm sorry if you are waiting for it but it is so worrrthh the wait.

A steamy enemies to lovers story with amazing banter between two divorce attorneys who are rivals because they work for competing firms and many of their cases are against one another but they are also enemies with benefits from the second the book starts hehe. Danica Pierce is up for promotion to becoming junior partner as long as she wins this next high-profiled case and who happens to be the opposing counsel on this case you may ask?..... her rival Ezra Hart.

They share a bed only physically and they work in the bedroom but it's everywhere else that there are issues. They shouldn't be doing what they are doing since it's a conflict of interest if anyone were to find out but the lines start to blur and as much as they know it's wrong, their hearts start to overrule their hearts.

The back and forth banter between both characters had me laughing out loud!! I also loved that both of them were in the legal field and it was heavily based in that environment. I don't see many romance books with lawyer mcd and I feel so seen because this is the field that I work in and becoming an attorney is literally my dream. So I loved it even more because of the way she portrayed this field.

Both Dani and Ezra have their hardships and rough pasts and because of their job they tend to keep things close to the vest but then when they are around each other that wall slowly starts to come down.

I can gush about this book ALL DAY. Please go read it when it releases July 1st.

Thank you so much to Lana Ferguson, Berkley Publishing, and NetGalley for the e-ARC!

tropes:
- lawyer mcs
- enemies to lovers

I enjoyed the pacing and overall premise of this book. Ferguson created two characters who had their own hang ups but were also strong minded. I loved that they respected what the other did sand was rooting them the while time.

THIS BOOK IS ABSOLUTE PERFECTION AND I WANT TO REREAD IT IMMEDIATELY AND MAKE EVERYONE READ IT.

I already love Lana’s work, but then she goes and writes this book and makes me freak out even more!

The rivals to lovers? Secret relationship? Hate to love? He falls first? YES YES YES!!!

The writing is incredible. The characters are funny, charming, realistic, and engaging. The plot is amazing.

Such a great read!!

I am a HUGE fan Lana Ferguson's monster romances but this has def made it into my top three! I really loved the backstories of both the FMC and the MMC. I think these characters had a lot more depth and I looooooooved it. Another winner from LF!

I love enemies to lovers just as much as you all do but Lana Ferguson just took my favorite trope, brought it into divorce court and made it super steamy.

Ezra and Dani are always at opposite ends of the courtroom duking it out for their wealthy clients but the issue is, they both seem to enjoy it. I definitely had Hating Game vibes this entire book and Ezra is absolutely swoon worthy. Lana has done it again.

Lana Ferguson has done a great job of creating loveable characters, easy to follow plot line, steamy spice and a great story overall in her books. Overruled is the 3rd Lana book that I've read from her and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed! We could feel the connection between Ezra and Dani from the beginning, even if Dani wanted to deny it all along. One thing I absolutely love with certain contemporary romance authors is their willingness to get emotional and deep with their characters. Both Dani and Ezra had their baggage that not only added to their character development but also helped drive the plot further into a stronger story. Also, the idea of rival, fuck-buddy lawyers is original and Lana did well with it!

Oh my gosh I'm obsessed!!! I haven't read an enemies to lovers workplace romance that went this hard. This rivals The Hating Game in how quickly I devoured it. This book was so good. The banter was top-tier, the sexual tension was delicious, and the emotional connection they shared had me swooning. This is my favorite Lana book now! I can't say enough good things about it. I'm definitely going to have to dive back in when the audio comes out because it was that fun to read.

A fun and spicy read! I loved that the fmc and mmc are opposing lawyers-it lead to a lot of banter between the two and I loved that! There was spice throughout the book (what you expect from Lana Ferguson..) but it didn’t take away from the plot. It was great seeing the fmc become more comfortable with her feelings and learn how to trust relationships again. Overall, I recommend this if you are looking for romance, a little bit of drama, and spice!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this honest review voluntarily. Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for allowing me to review this book.

Overruled is a hilarious and steamy enemies to lovers romance, with a feisty FMC and a MMC that loves raising her hackles. I read it in one sitting. The two main characters in this story are both divorce attorneys, who have are huge rivals in the courtroom and often find themselves as opposing counsel. Outside the courtroom, they use their hate for one another for more pleasurable endeavors.

Dani & Ezra’s banter and chemistry throughout the book is fantastic. She has black cat energy toward him and he loves to annoy her as often as possible, just for another taste of her “Sour Patch” personality. There’s quite a bit of spice in this book, but it doesn’t over power the plot. There are twists and turns throughout the story and it was honestly a very entertaining read.

Lana Ferguson is always an automatic add to my never ending TBR. I love these way her characters interact and feel like people I would enjoy knowing. Her characters development and ability to set a scene are brilliant. 10/10 will always recommend.

Tropes in this book include:
Enemies to Lovers
Workplace Rivals
Forbidden Romance
He Falls First
She’s In Denial
Emotional Scars

Lana Ferguson is back with another steamy, tension-filled romance, this time pitting two powerhouse divorce attorneys against each other in both the courtroom and the bedroom. Overruled delivers all the heat, banter, and emotional depth you’d expect from Ferguson, with a side of legal drama that makes the stakes even higher. This book is equal parts enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, and scorching chemistry, with a slow-burn romance that turns downright explosive. Ferguson balances sharp, snappy dialogue with real emotional stakes, making Overruled not just a fun read but a deeply satisfying one. Perfect for fans of The Hating Game and Legal Heat, this one is a verdict in favor of love.
