Good Spirits by B.K. Borison was such a charming and cozy read! This book is the perfect mix of holiday magic and romance. Nolan and Harriet are such a sweet pair. I loved watching their relationship grow as they explored her past and slowly unraveled their unexpected connection. Harriet is relatable as someone who’s always trying to make everyone else happy, and Nolan is surprisingly swoony for a ghost. Their banter and moments of vulnerability made the story feel so heartfelt. If you’re looking for a feel good, whimsical romance that leaves you with a warm and fuzzy feeling, I’d definitely recommend this book!

BK Borison makes everything cozy and romantic. This story exceeded all expectations. Nolan and Harriet are everything. I love that they found each other. And in true Borison fashion this story is HOT! I expected nothing less than a hot as hell ghost haunting a cheery Christmas lover. Can’t wait for the next ghosted story!

B.K. Borison does it again with Good Spirits, a holiday romance that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious with a dash of supernatural mischief. Think A Christmas Carol, but make it a rom-com, and replace Scrooge with Harriet York, a people pleaser so sweet she probably apologizes when someone bumps into her. Add in Nolan Callahan, the Ghost of Christmas Past who’s supposed to be helping her reflect on her life but ends up breaking every ghostly protocol by catching feelings.

Borison’s writing is sharp and full of charm, mixing laugh-out-loud moments (haunting isn’t exactly a glamorous gig) with genuinely touching reflections on love, life, and the occasional regret. The chemistry between Nolan and Harriet is SO delightful you’ll forget one of them is technically dead I guess??. And the holiday magic? Top-notch, with all the cozy, whimsical vibes you’d want for a winter read. Like I’m waiting for Christmas so I can reread this at the right time already.

If you’re looking for a book that’ll make you laugh, cry, and possibly reconsider the logistics of falling for a ghost, Good Spirits is a must-read. It’s the perfect blend of festive cheer and SWOONY romance that BK Borison never fails to give, guaranteed to haunt you (in the best way) long after the last page.

Harriet works in an antique store and lives a fairly sedate life. She finds herself waiting, staring out of her window, and drinking peppermint tea in cozy pajamas. One day, a man shows up claiming to a ghost of Christmas past and her simple life becomes a whole lot more interesting. As the two try to figure out why she needs to amend her ways, they discover that this holiday season haunting may be more about them together than her alone.

Wow…the premise of this story sounds so hokey, but trust me, it is not. Borison has managed to make a paranormal romance moving, heartfelt, hilarious, and heartbreaking - I absolutely loved it. On top of being a spicy happily ever after, there’s also a wonderful time travel element to this romance and plenty of generational trauma that makes you feel stripped bare and rebuilt after dealing with it. Harriet is so, so sweet and I love picturing her piddling away in her shop, and Nolan is a dish! I think this is my favorite Borison novel yet and I can’t wait to suggest this unique holiday romance to everyone I know! (And this is the first in a series - Whoo-hoo!)

I just love B. K.’s books so stinking much. Her stories are so unique and engaging and her characters are so well fleshed out and this was no exception.

It was so much fun to read about a ghost of Christmas past and see how the story was going to unfold! I truly had no idea what was going to happen. I also loved the fmc and how fun and kind she was. I love her love for candy canes and Christmas decor and Nolan just got her and encouraged her and helped her 🥲 I just loved seeing both of their journeys throughout the book!

I loved the antiques store. The banter was so funny. The writing was so good. I cannot get over her books honestly

This story was all together magical and I cannot wait to see what Becca does next.

I won’t give spoilers and I don’t want to say too much but truly BK Borison is a favorite of mine for good reason. There is so much honesty in her writing filled with humor and joy and longing and love and what it means to be a human being in this world. It’s all here, as it is in all her work. You will love Nolan & Harriet, end of story.
